New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 2166: Intelligent Protos (1)

After thirty minutes,

"Finally, you have ten evolved Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys!"

Ajax looked at the ten Quasi-Divine Flaming Monkeys standing behind Protos and nodded in satisfaction.

Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys were already rare to begin with, and by now, Ajax had killed nearly fifty of them.

Moreover, with Ajax being present, there would be no way those Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys would come out.

Therefore, it had taken him thirty minutes to find six more Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys that were hiding deep underground.

Without hesitation, he evolved them and let Protos take control of them, filling all ten available slots.

'Now, I think it's time we move to another region in the Fire Terrain.'

Seeing that there were hardly any Emperor Realm Elemental Beasts left in the Flaming Forest, Ajax decided to change locations.

'But there is only one hour left before the bloodline effects disappear. So, for now, Protos should make do with the Flaming Monkeys here.'

However, after thinking for a moment, Ajax changed his mind.

First of all, moving to another region would take some time. Moreover, it would be unfamiliar territory for Protos, who had to hunt Elemental Beasts on his own.

That's right!

Ajax's plan was to let Protos fight the Elemental Beasts independently and improve his battle prowess through actual combat.

Moving to an unfamiliar region with only a short time left before the bloodline boost disappeared would be inefficient.

"Protos, are you ready to fight Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys?"

"Yes, Summoning Master!"

Protos replied confidently.

Right now, killing unconscious Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys barely rewarded Protos compared to killing Quasi-Divine Elemental Beasts.

However, considering his growth over the past few days, Ajax knew that Protos could obtain much greater rewards by killing Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys on his own.

It might even help him break through to the Emperor Realm.

That was also why Ajax had helped Protos fill all ten slots with evolved Quasi-Divine Flaming Monkeys.

Each of them possessed battle prowess equivalent to that of a Peak Emperor Realm cultivator and could greatly support Protos in battle.

With their assistance, Protos could hunt the Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys much more efficiently.

Moreover, Protos himself understood the benefits of fighting powerful opponents.

He wanted to become stronger and help his Summoning Master.

"Okay. Go, then."

This time, Ajax didn't follow Protos.

Instead, he let the Elemental Spirit Child find and kill as many Flaming Monkeys as possible before the bloodline boost disappeared.

'Swiish!'

In the next second, Protos rushed deeper into the Flaming Forest.

He knew there was less than an hour left before his battle prowess boost disappeared.

Therefore, he wanted to make the most of it.

[Absolute Flame Explosion]!

'Boom!'

Since Ajax was no longer with him, Protos encountered a horde of Flaming Monkeys after a few minutes.

However, all of them were in the King Realm.

Nevertheless, Protos didn't hesitate to attack them.

Despite killing so many of them, Protos' cultivation didn't break through to the Emperor Realm.

Other than the fact that it was already difficult to break through to the Emperor Realm, killing the King Realm Flaming Monkeys with his current cultivation at the peak of the Elemental Spirit King Realm didn't yield many rewards.

'Even though the rewards from killing King Realm Flaming Monkeys are almost negligible, it's still better than nothing.'

Protos quickly unleashed another [Absolute Flame Explosion], killing several Flaming Monkeys at once.

'Moreover, according to the Summoning Master, we will move to another region after today.'

With that thought, Protos continued hunting.

'So, killing as many Flaming Monkeys as possible is the best thing to do.'

…

After ten minutes, Protos finally found a horde consisting of ten Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys and more than a hundred King Realm Flaming Monkeys.

His eyes immediately lit up.

'Finally!'

Without wasting any time, Protos rushed towards the horde.

[Heavenly Fire Burst]!

'Boom!'

Jumping into the middle of the horde, Protos released his powerful skill.

A massive burst of flames spread in every direction, engulfing the King Realm Flaming Monkeys and severely injuring the Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys.

The weaker Flaming Monkeys were instantly reduced to countless tiny specks of light.

As for the Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys, their crystalline bodies were covered with cracks, and their movements became sluggish.

'Summon!'

With a thought, Protos summoned his ten evolved Quasi-Divine Flaming Monkeys.

Just as Summoners could keep their Elemental Spirits in their Elemental Spirit Consciousness, the Divine Talent allowed Protos to keep the Elemental Beasts he controlled in his body.

"Don't kill them. Just capture them."

He immediately ordered them to restrain the heavily injured Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys.

The ten Quasi-Divine Flaming Monkeys rushed forward and pinned down their targets, preventing them from escaping.

'There's not much benefit in killing them directly.'

Protos silently planned his next move.

'If I let the Summoning Master evolve them before killing them, I will receive much greater rewards.'

'Moreover, I can use these Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys as bait to capture more of them.'

If Ajax had known how intelligent Protos had become, he would have been thoroughly shocked.

After all, he still thought of Protos as an Elemental Spirit Child, even though his intelligence was already comparable to his own.

'I'm sure the Summoning Master will be happy.'

With that thought, Protos began implementing his plan.

Although killing King Realm Flaming Monkeys didn't increase Protos' cultivation, it still helped improve the proficiency of his skills.

Despite the improvements being very tiny, the sheer number of Flaming Monkeys he was killing helped all his skills reach Perfection.

Once in a while, Ajax's title, [Elemental Spirit Master], would trigger, and new skills would be awakened or the proficiency of existing skills would increase.

....

While Protos was kidnapping the Emperor Realm Flaming Monkeys, the top participants were not happy.

'Damn it… Why is my Elemental Spirit not awakening the Elemental Ascendance?'

Like Elyndra, they had finally learned that the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals couldn't help their Elemental Spirits awaken their Elemental Ascendance.

'Do I need to increase its cultivation to the Level 9 Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm before using the Elemental Spirit Ascension Crystals?'

Kael and a few other participants started planning what they should do.
