New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 2173: Rankings of the Second Round

From the moment he entered the Elemental Source Land, Ajax always wanted to keep a low profile before taking the final reward, which he believed to be a Sentient Flame.

However, after learning that the Divine Elemental Spirits could be unsealed in this universe, Ajax made a deal with Thorne. For that, he had to hunt a large number of Elemental Beasts, catching the eyes of others.

Later, he had to kill Veyric and others, becoming a bit more famous. Finally, by entering the top ten rankings, his name became known to all the participants in the Elemental Source Land.

'And now, I am not just in the top ten but the number one participant.'

Ajax bitterly smiled.

However, he didn't regret his actions so far. Even if he went back in time, he would do the same things or, in fact, do even better when nurturing Protos.

'Swish!'

Soon, lines of golden words appeared in the sky one after another, displaying the rankings of the top ten participants.

[The First Place: Ajax, whose Elemental Spirit reached the Peak Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm and fully awakened his Elemental Ascendance.]

'Ajax?'

'It is him!'

'The one who was in the sixth position in the first round.'

'I thought it would be Elyndra again in the first place.'

'Looks like he is not just good at Body Cultivation but also nurturing Elemental Spirits.'

.

.

.

.

All the participants were shocked to see that it was not Elyndra or another famous top participant. Instead, an unknown cultivator whom they had only gotten to know during the first round took first place in the second round.

Most of them believed that Ajax was a Body Cultivator and wasn't particularly skilled in nurturing Elemental Spirits, but seeing him get first place in the second round, everyone was shocked and realized that he was good at both Body Cultivation and nurturing Elemental Spirits.

[The Second Place: Elyndra, whose Elemental Spirit reached the Peak Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm and achieved 49 percent awakening in Elemental Ascendance.]

Amidst their shock, the second rank was also updated, which created another shock among the participants.

'What?'

'Elyndra's Elemental Spirit has awakened only 49 percent of Elemental Ascendance?'

'The difference between the first place and the second place is huge.'

'Especially when the awakening of Elemental Ascendance reaches 80 percent, it takes a long time to increase that percentage.'

'How the hell did that Ajax help his Elemental Spirit fully awaken its Elemental Ascendance?'

.

.

.

They were not shocked at Elyndra's second place in the rankings; instead, they were shocked at the huge difference between the first and second places.

As Summoners themselves, they knew how difficult it was to make progress in the awakening of Elemental Ascendance. Seeing that even Elyndra could only achieve 49 percent awakening, all the participants became curious about Ajax's methods.

[The Third Place: Selene Graves, whose Elemental Spirit reached the Peak Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm and achieved 48 percent awakening in Elemental Ascendance.]

'It's once again Selene Graves.'

'These loose cultivators—how are they nurturing their Elemental Spirits so fast?'

.

.

.

The third place caused another shock because it was not an heir from one of the top powers. Instead, it was a loose cultivator.

Moreover, if her Elemental Spirit awakened another two percent of its Elemental Ascendance, she would have surpassed Elyndra and taken second place.

Everyone was shocked at how loose cultivators, who struggled to obtain cultivation resources, were able to claim two spots in the top three.

[The Fourth Place: Seraphine Vale, whose Elemental Spirit reached the Peak Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm and achieved 45 percent awakening in Elemental Ascendance.]

[The Fifth Place: Dorian Ashveil, whose Elemental Spirit reached the Peak Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm and achieved 40 percent awakening in Elemental Ascendance.]

.

.

.

.

[The Tenth Place: Kael Draven, whose Elemental Spirit reached the Peak Elemental Spirit Emperor Realm and achieved 25 percent awakening in Elemental Ascendance.]

As soon as the first three ranks were displayed, the remaining seven ranks were displayed almost instantly.

These remaining seven ranks didn't cause much shock, as all the names belonged to heirs from the top powers, and there were no loose cultivators among them.

However, there was one thing that made the participants excited.

'Dorian is in fifth place, but where is Kael Draven?'

As soon as someone raised this question, the participants looked through the rankings again, searching for Kael's name.

When they finally found it at the very bottom, many of them were stunned.

'What? Kael Draven is in tenth place?'

'The genius heir of the Draven Forge Clan is only in tenth place?'

'Looks like Dorian won against Kael this time. What's more, it's a victory by a huge margin.'

'Haha! I wonder what Kael's current reaction is?'

.

.

.

The participants began discussing the rankings among themselves.

It was common knowledge that Kael Draven and Dorian Ashveil were rivals. Both of them came from powerful forces, and their rivalry had existed for many years. They had competed against each other in cultivation, combat, and even their achievements in various trials.

However, this time, Dorian had not only defeated Kael but had left him far behind.

With Dorian in fifth place and Kael in tenth, the participants naturally assumed that Dorian had won their latest contest.

'Still, I didn't expect Kael to rank so low.'

'The difference between 40 percent and 25 percent awakening in Elemental Ascendance between their Elemental Spirits is quite significant.'

As the participants discussed the rankings, some began to wonder how the top ten had managed to awaken their Elemental Ascendance so quickly.

After all, even many of the heirs from the top powers had struggled to make significant progress during the Second Round.

....

Meanwhile, in one of the regions of the five terrains, Kael was staring at the rankings with an ugly expression.

'Damn it... Damn it... DAMN IT!'

He suddenly punched a huge boulder, shattering it into pieces.

Seeing Dorian's name in fifth place and his own name at the bottom of the rankings made him feel as though he had been slapped in the face.

He was not bothered by Ajax getting first place or Elyndra getting second place because he genuinely believed they were powerful cultivators with unique methods.

However, seeing Dorian's name in fifth place made Kael frustrated.

'How could this happen? How could I lose to that Dorian?'

Kael clenched his fists tightly, his eyes burning with frustration.

He had always considered himself Dorian's equal, if not his superior. Yet, in this round, he had fallen five places behind his rival.

'Dorian Ashveil... Just you wait!'

Kael gritted his teeth, vowing to surpass Dorian in the upcoming rounds.

…..

While the participants were busy discussing the rankings, the Ancient Voice resounded throughout the Elemental Source Land once again.

[Congratulations to the top three participants for their outstanding performance in the Second Round!]

[As a reward, the First Place will receive three Divine Pearls, the Second Place will receive two Divine Pearls, and the Third Place will receive one Divine Pearl!]

[Furthermore, the top ten participants will each receive one Divine Elemental Potion!]

As soon as the announcement ended, the top ten participants, except for Kael Draven, became excited with the rewards that appeared in front of them.
