Chapter 470: The Origin Mecha

Chapter 470: The Origin Mecha

"You... you are very amusing, kid." The Dragon Monarch looked at Grey with pure fury before bursting into a booming laugh. "YOU DARE TO DISRESPECT THE DRAGON CLAN?!"

In the following moment, his demeanor shifted into pure murderous intent.

Seeing this, the Grand Arbiter frowned. "Dragon Monarch, I believe that is enough," he commanded, rising into the air to intervene.

However, the instant he spoke, a thick golden barrier formed around him. The two Dragon Clan elders, along with Errol, had moved in unison to seal the Grand Arbiter inside a spatial lock.

"Dragon Monarch Aegis, what is the meaning of this?" Matthew demanded with a darkened expression. He realized he could not easily break past the barrier. It was infused with the Transcendental Essence of a 7th Ranker!

"You stay put, Grand Arbiter Matthew. I cannot have you interfering with dragon clan affairs," Aegis replied with a chilling glare.

"Stop this!" Alissa shouted, launching herself into the sky. But before she could reach Grey, the dragon elders blurred into her path, blocking her advance.

"Move out of my way!" she ordered.

"You should not stick your head into other people’s matters when you have bigger problems to deal with, Alissa. Remember, Melissa and Wang Lin are still under our custody," Errol warned with a threatening sneer.

Just then, two flashes of light materialized in front of Alissa. It was Miwa and Juli.

"If you dare harm her, you will have to go through us as well," Miwa declared with a bright, cheerful smile. "This tournament is being broadcasted to the entire cosmos, and we have fans worldwide. If you touch us, our entire fanbase will unite to tear you down."

The dragon elders were genuinely taken aback by the sheer absurdity of the threat.

Hearing this from below, Grey burst out laughing. "That was a good one! Hahaha, the entire human race uniting to deal with a bunch of overgrown reptiles just because they hurt their favorite idols." Grey gave Miwa a thumbs up.

"..." Juli, Alissa, and Miwa stared down at Grey with bewildered gazes.

This man was actually laughing amidst a cosmic standoff? Juli was even more stunned than the other two. Her brother felt entirely alien right now. He looked less human and more like an uncaring deity. He stood there like a god watching mortals bicker, unfazed by the apocalyptic tension in the air. It made her wonder where this bottomless confidence stemmed from.

"Well. It is finally time to come out, Eterna. Can you deal with those three overgrown reptiles for me?" Grey’s voice was neither too loud nor too soft, yet the words echoed clearly in everyone’s ears.

He just said Eterna, did he not?

Bzzt! The advanced technology across the entire Origin Planet began to rapidly glitch. A digital silhouette manifested right beside Grey.

The instant her holographic figure solidified, the ruling emperors, the prominent duke families, the sect leaders, and every single spectator wore expressions of pure shock.

"ETERNA?!" The Grand Arbiter was the most visibly shaken. "You are back?"

"Greetings, Grand Arbiter Matthew. It has been a while since we last met," Eterna spoke, offering a casual glance.

"Oho? So this AI and that mysterious beast are your supposed trump cards?" Dragon Monarch Aegis asked with a dark sneer. "It is not enough."

As he spoke, a massive wave of draconic pressure fell toward Grey, Anderson, Angela, and Eterna.

Before the crushing pressure could reach them, a gigantic mechanical head the size of a small moon suddenly materialized in the sky. Everyone across the cosmos, from the Origin Planet citizens to the trillions watching the live stream, saw it clearly.

It was a colossal mecha.

"The Origin Mecha?!" Emperor Theo exclaimed in disbelief.

So far, the Emperor had been watching everything as a silent bystander. To him, the survival of his kingdom outweighed the fate of a mere duke family. Anderson and Angela had already stepped out of line, and Theo was prepared to sever ties to save his empire from the Dragon Clan’s wrath. He was not going to pay for the Arclight family’s arrogant mistakes. But the instant he saw Eterna and the legendary mecha, his calculating expression shattered.

The Origin Mecha carried a trace of the Origin Will. It was a primordial weapon crafted by the ancient founder of the Pan-Cosmic Human Alliance. As a result, it possessed universe-shattering strength, and the only entity capable of piloting it was Eterna, the Grand Overseer of the Alliance.

Boom! A blinding laser beam shot out from its giant metallic head, carving through space straight for the Dragon Monarch. At the exact same time, a protective energy barrier formed around every single civilian on the planet, shielding them from the catastrophic fallout of the attack.

"You call this the Origin Mecha?" Dragon Monarch Aegis sneered. A terrifying draconic aura erupted from his core as he shot upward, breaking through the planet’s atmosphere.

In the next instant, his glowing fists planted themselves directly into the giant mecha’s chest plate.

Boom!

A deafening explosion rang out across the void of space, defying the natural laws of the vacuum. The colossal mecha crumbled into burning scrap metal just as quickly as it had appeared.

"This is no Origin Mecha. The true Origin Mecha can rival an 8th Rank supreme being. This is just one of its many failed prototypes," Aegis mocked, his voice echoing from orbit. "I have seen the real weapon myself. I know a fake when I shatter one."

"Damn, I told you to bring the real one, did I not?" Grey tilted his head and sighed at Eterna.

"I could not break the final encryption sequence in time," Eterna replied, staring back at Grey with a flat, deadpan look. "Besides, you do not really need it anyway, do you?"

Eterna added a meaningful glance at the Beast of Finality hovering next to him.

Everyone else had been ignoring the purple behemoth for a while. The energy fluctuations it produced when erasing the clones of Tian Yuan and Azathoth only registered at the early 7th Rank. Both of those avatars were at the 6th Rank or lower, so the spectators did not take the beast as a serious threat against a peak 7th Rank monster like the Dragon Monarch.

But Eterna knew the terrifying truth. This beast was anything but ordinary!
