Chapter 575: Subduing Tian Mo, the fragment, Islode from Helios

"How can such a technique exist?" Tian Mo asked. He could not believe it.

One might think he was boasting, but Tian Mo knew exactly how much energy Grey had drawn in. There was a distinct fluctuation, and he clearly felt the energy multiplying exponentially with each breakthrough. It was obvious this person was not lying at all. In fact, he might have been telling the absolute truth this entire time.

Who was this young man? Tian Mo knew this guy possessed a Chaos Emperor related item; it resonated powerfully with him. But he doubted even the Chaos Emperor himself knew about a technique like this.

Grey looked at the guy strangely. Now that his combat power had reached the Dao Generation Realm, he could clearly perceive the artifact this so-called Heavenly Space Beast possessed. It was not as powerful as the Chaos Source Codex, but it was undeniably a fragment belonging to the Chaos Emperor.

"You have hidden yourself very deeply until now," Grey said.

If this man had appeared during the Space League of the Human Alliance, perhaps not even the Yellow Ancestor and all the others combined would have been able to stop him. Tian Yuan and Azathoth were easier to deal with than this man right here. But now, Grey felt highly confident he could take this man in a direct fight.

"My initial thought was to simply eliminate you. But now, I think I might have to take you with me to dissect your secrets," Tian Mo said with a grin. "Of course, you have the option to come willingly."

"But I highly doubt you are going to choose that option," Tian Mo added, glancing at Alan and Kaelith. "If you think you can beat me with just those two, then you are going to be sorely disappointed." Tian Mo grinned as his boundless power erupted.

Seeing this, Grey acted. His Axiom power and spatial manipulation surged, forcefully pushing his team and Tian Mo into a completely isolated layer of space. If they fought out in the open, the shockwaves might destroy the entire universe. The ninth rank was no joke. This man, Grey, Alan, and Kaelith all possessed the raw strength of a ninth ranker.

Just then, the Origin Will’s voice rang directly in his mind.

"I have completely isolated this area. The battle here will not reach the universe outside. Do not die."

Grey smiled upon hearing this. This meant he could finally go all out. He had the option to summon an army of Nexus devils at the ninth rank, but he would save that as his absolute trump card.

"Let us jump this guy!" Grey shouted as he closed in on Tian Mo, with Kaelith and Alan following suit.

Mental pressure erupted from Alan as he tried to disorient Tian Mo. However, a thick barrier materialized around the beast, stopping the mental assault in its tracks. But just as quickly as the barrier formed, Kaelith was already at the frontlines, shattering the defense with a single strike.

Grey rushed in during this precise opening. His Nexus Overclock surged to fifteen hundred percent, pushing his absolute maximum limit right now.

Tian Mo, seeing this, looked at him with arrogant confidence. "Brat, do you think just having the raw power of Dao Generation is enough to contend against a real Dao Generation expert? You are dead wrong if you think that."

Tian Mo prepared himself to swat Grey away and put the kid in his place. However, just as Grey closed the distance, Tian Mo’s expression drastically changed. It turned extremely ugly, to be exact.

Boom!

Nexus Axiom energy surged like a violent tidal wave. It poured heavily into Origin Breaker, which erupted with crushing, tyrannical might.

Tian Mo, who had readied his own peak energy, was effortlessly swept away by the Nexus Axiom power like a fly getting swatted.

Boom!

He crashed heavily into the Origin Will’s isolation barrier, sporting a completely dumbfounded expression.

"HOW?!" he screamed in panic. "How did you manage to land a solid hit on me? My Chaos Body cannot be harmed by any ordinary mortal, not even the strongest eighth ranker!"

"Nanomachines, son!" Grey shouted with a grin as he unleashed his wide range of devastating powers.

A few minutes later.

"Please do not kill me!" Tian Mo, who looked completely and heavily injured beyond words, begged pitifully.

His figure was glitching heavily. The so-called invincible Chaos Body simply could not handle the supreme might of Nexus energy. His internal power had also been forcefully sealed by the Nexus Axiom power, making it hurt agonizingly whenever he even tried to circulate his energy.

"You will make a great mount for me," Grey said with a dark grin. "Are you against it?"

"No, not at all!" the man exclaimed in sheer terror.

He could not believe his reality. He actually lost to someone who had just entered the seventh rank? How humiliating was that? It was humiliating enough that he swore to never call himself a Dao Generation Realm expert ever again.

"You are a total fraud. You know that, right?" Grey asked with a sneer. "You are just using the artifact’s power to fuel yourself. Are you not?"

"You are just a half-step ninth ranker in actuality." Grey had seen through the facade completely. His Nexus energy roaming inside this guy’s Chaos Body made the truth glaringly obvious.

This man held a similar structure to the Chaos Source Codex inside him, but once Grey looked at it from a higher dimensional perspective, the artifact looked a lot like a huge stick. Grey’s mind briefly wandered into the gutter, but he quickly shook his head to clear the thought.

This was undoubtedly a missing part of the Chaos Source Codex.

He waved his hand, and the fragment forcefully extracted itself from Tian Mo. It flew out and entered Grey’s Chaos Lotus. The fragment shone with brilliant light as it seamlessly merged with the existing Chaos Source Codex.

Immediately after the fusion, his mind blinked as a brand new spatial coordinate appeared in his head.

"Another coordinate for another fragment?" Grey was pleasantly surprised.

Now he possessed two distinct coordinates for missing chaos parts, all of which had to be directly related to the completed Chaos Source Codex.

"Are you ready to become my mount?" Grey asked again.

"As long as you do not kill me, I am ready to do absolutely anything," Tian Mo said, his voice trembling with fear.

It took him millions upon millions of years to reach this elevated state. How could he just accept dying here? He refused to let that happen.

Furthermore, the absolute power this seventh ranker wielded made it completely impossible to resist him. It felt like Grey was the most superior being in existence. Whenever this Nexus energy appeared, Tian Mo’s own stable essence tucked its tail and hid away. His combat strength was directly halved due to that terrifying suppression alone.

At the same time, in the Elf Alliance, within the Spirit Domain.

The Spirit Ancestor was pacing back and forth with a highly conflicted look on his face.

Today, an envoy from Helios, the legendary organization for Earth transmigrators, was coming over.

He had initially notified Helios of the sudden emergence of the Holy Corpse, and they were supposed to arrive today. But he never would have expected that Grey Lockhart would descend with a humongous, immortal army that could revive the dead, effortlessly taking the Holy Corpse for himself.

This entire situation went vastly beyond his expectations.

Just then, the spatial area around the World Tree severely fractured as World Breaking Source Power erupted into the domain.

Slowly, a young woman wearing stylish sunglasses and loose, fashionable clothing that made her look exactly like a modern celebrity stepped out from the portal.

"Hi," she greeted casually with a bright smile. "How have you been, Senior Spirit Ancestor?"

"Senior?" The old man sighed deeply. "You jest. You are already a Dao Generation expert, Miss, and it has been only twenty years since you fully crossed over from Earth. I am simply not worthy of being called a senior by you, Miss Isolde."

"Well, you were still technically older than me while we were on Earth," Isolde blinked playfully and said with a light laugh. "I am still very young and youthful, you see."

"Anyway, our boss told me to come here to secure the Holy Corpse. Is it still around? With it, I can reach the tenth rank directly."

"Ah, about that." The Spirit Ancestor’s lips twitched nervously as he began thoroughly explaining everything that had just transpired.

"What? The corpse was already absorbed?" Her demeanor immediately shifted to visible anger. "Did I come all the way down to this lower plane of existence for absolutely no reason then?"

"I have been very busy these days, you know?!" she complained. "Where is the man who took the Holy Corpse? Take me to him right now. I will just take the power from him myself."

"Miss, I strongly think that is a bad idea." The Spirit Ancestor was terrified. This woman was a Dao Generation Realm expert. In his mind, she could easily defeat Saint Grey and his entire army with a single finger. What if she pushed things to the extreme? Isolde was incredibly famous among the Helios ranks, mostly because she was a massive celebrity back on Earth. Everyone idolized her. If Saint Grey accidentally offended her, the entirety of Helios would erupt in outrage.

At the same time, he was deeply conflicted. He had strictly promised Grey not to reveal his existence to the others just yet.

Should he tell her the truth? But on the other hand, even if she knew about Grey being a fellow Earth transmigrator, she would still most likely try to forcefully take the corpse’s power for herself.

I cannot help you in this, Saint Grey. Even within Helios, people constantly fight amongst themselves.
