Chapter 579: Joestar, Past One phsyique
"You are..." Grey squinted his eyes, carefully scrutinizing the robot standing before him.
"I am the proxy body for the leader of the Helios organization, the holy sanctuary for Earth transmigrators," the robot spoke. "Please come to my personal office. I wish to speak with you more privately. This matter is of the utmost importance and cannot be discussed in the open."
"The True Source Dragon friend who came with you will be treated with the highest hospitality by Misty in the meantime," the robot added, its glowing optical sensors shifting toward the Misty.
Misty swiftly nodded upon hearing this. She was immediately up for the task.
The young person standing in front of them was not a newbie! Even if he was, his sheer presence and the personal invitation from the elusive leader meant he possessed more cosmic importance than her and Joshua combined! She respectfully gestured for Alissa to follow her to the luxury VIP lounge.
Soon, Grey followed the robotic proxy down a pristine corridor. They eventually stepped onto an elevated platform that looked much more like an advanced teleportation device than a traditional elevator lift. The circular metallic plate on the floor was heavily etched with glowing runic inscriptions that hummed with latent spatial energy. There was no doubt about it; this was a highly sophisticated short-range teleportation matrix.
Bzzzt!
The platform he was standing on blinked with a blinding azure light and vanished from the physical plane. Grey felt his physical atoms being temporarily digitized, dragged through the chaotic undercurrents of the spatial layer, and flawlessly reassembled. The following moment, he materialized in a place that looked exactly like the open sky.
Everything in this expansive room was meticulously crafted from pure, condensed clouds. The ambient lighting, the architectural structure, the furniture, and even the large office chair and table resting in the direct center of this room were entirely made of fluffy, solid white clouds. It felt exactly like stepping into a divine dreamscape. It was as if a piece of a heavenly realm had been carved out and stuffed into an administrative building.
"Hello, friend," a calm, exceptionally deep voice echoed from the side of the room.
Grey turned toward the source of the voice. It turned out to belong to a man who was casually flipping through what appeared to be a thick book, which was also inexplicably woven from dense cloud matter.
"These cloud things are just a strange, personal hobby of mine," Jonathan smiled, his deep voice carrying a soothing resonance. "Please do not mind it."
"Is that so," Grey replied evenly, narrowing his eyes as he examined the man closely.
For starters, he looked extremely burly. He looked exactly like someone who had just stepped off the main stage of a universal bodybuilding competition. His arms were like massive tree trunks, and his chest was as broad as a fortress door. He was so ridiculously muscular and broad-shouldered that his physical proportions would put even the best genetically enhanced bodybuilders to utter shame. He sported a sharp, clean buzz cut and wore a highly refined, gentlemanly suit. The expensive fabric of the suit seemed to scream in sheer agony as it stretched tightly over his bulging biceps and wide frame.
It was a type of sophisticated clothing you would never expect a hulking, monstrous guy like this to comfortably wear. Yet, despite his deeply intimidating physical size, he only gave off a gentle, scholarly aura for some inexplicable reason.
Grey was genuinely confused. What sort of walking contradiction was he looking at?
"Hahaha. Friend, I might look exactly like this, but in my past life back on Earth, I was an aspiring professional bodybuilder."
"Oh." Grey nodded slowly. Now that made a whole lot of sense, did it not? It perfectly explained the sheer mass of the man.
"Do you know why I called you here?" the massive man asked with a warm, gentle smile. However, as if suddenly realizing a grave oversight, he wore an apologetic look. "Where are my manners? I completely forgot to properly introduce myself."
"I am Joestar. It is a pleasure to meet you." He stepped forward, his massive frame towering over Grey, and offered a gentle, polite handshake.
Grey was momentarily stunned upon hearing that specific name.
A Joestar?!
Now, where had he heard this iconic name before? He could not remember the exact details properly, but it triggered a very specific pop-culture memory deep within his mind. Was this universe playing a massive cosmic joke on him? Did this man possess a star birthmark on the back of his shoulder, too?
However, he did not keep the other party waiting. He swiftly took hold of the man’s massive hand and returned the firm handshake.
"Good power," the burly man noted with an approving nod as he withdrew his hand.
"So, going back to the main topic. Do you know exactly why I called you up here?"
"I do not know." Grey tilted his head slightly. "Is it simply because I am an Earth transmigrator?"
"No." The man, Joestar, shook his head with a knowing smile.
"I can actively sense the exact same presence lingering around you," he said cryptically, his tone dropping an octave. "The same presence as a Spatial Aurora."
Grey’s transcendent source immediately skipped a beat upon hearing this shocking revelation.
A Spatial Aurora?
Could it be that incredibly mysterious figure? The exact same enigmatic entity that had effortlessly altered Alissa’s memories without leaving a single trace behind? The mere mention of that entity sent a phantom chill down Grey’s spine. It was a power that operated on a dimension so impossibly high it made regular space-time look like a child’s drawing.
Grey’s expression immediately darkened, the temperature in the cloud room dropping by several degrees.
"What do you mean by a Spatial Aurora presence? Is it somehow binded to me?"
"Yes," Joestar replied, maintaining the exact same calm smile despite the rising tension.
"I was able to sense it clearly because, at one specific point in time, I also carried the exact same energy signature as you," Joestar added, his eyes gleaming with ancient memories. "I immediately picked up the Spatial Aurora presence the instant you stepped foot inside the headquarters."
"But please, do not worry. This lingering signature is not inherently harmful, nor can it be used to actively snoop on your daily life."
"Besides, even if it could, I highly doubt that Spatial Aurora signature can peer deeply into your core, or into your fate," Joestar smiled knowingly. "Because even I could not see through you or your fate, my friend."
"What exactly are you, friend?" Joestar asked, leaning forward slightly. "I am incredibly curious to know."
"You are a being that exists entirely outside the woven tapestry of fate. That is exactly what you are."
"Are you the legendary Fateless One, standing on the same impossible pedestal as the fabled immortal Pure One, Tian Yuan, and the Abyssal God?"
"Are you the third Fateless One?"
Grey immediately frowned deeply upon hearing this string of accurate deductions.
"You can ask as many questions as you want. But you cannot possibly expect me to answer any of them, especially the ones you just spouted. That was a very stupid assumption to make out loud."
"You do not need to play dumb with me." Joestar shook his head gently. "If my intention was to harm you or exploit your existence, I would have already made my move the moment you arrived."
"My sole purpose is to protect every single Earth transmigrator and keep our shared heritage, our Earth, and our universe entirely hidden away from the prying eyes of the ancient Paragons."
"If you do not want to say it, then I will not force you to confess. I am not a person like that."
"I can even swear a binding oath to the Higher Heavenly Dao right now if you want," Joestar added smoothly. "Whatever you say here will be kept in the utmost confidentiality. I will do my best to keep you safe and protected, to ensure your true identity is never exposed to those higher beings ever again."
"Do it, then." Grey was still entirely unconvinced. He demanded the man swear the cosmic oath right then and there. If Joestar wavered even for a single fraction of a moment, then that would inherently mean he could not be trusted.
But contrary to his beliefs, what he expected did not happen. The burly man immediately raised his hand and flawlessly swore a binding oath to the Higher Heavenly Dao. A golden chain of runic light descended from the void, wrapping tightly around Joestar’s soul before fading deep into his source, sealing the cosmic pact.
"So..." Joestar lowered his hand and looked at him deeply.
"Yes, I am the Fateless One," Grey finally sighed and admitted the truth.
To be able to see through his hidden layers this far, Joestar possessed an extraordinary ability without a doubt, and it was something that should not be taken lightly.
"So you really were a Fateless One." Joestar’s expression grew profoundly deep and solemn.
"How much do you actually know about the Ascendancy Domain?" he asked.
"A lot," Grey replied calmly.
Hearing this, Joestar continued. "From what I personally know, across our entire endless reality, only three supreme beings are qualified to ascend to the Ascendancy Domain in this current cosmic age."
"And they are the three Fateless Ones."
"They hold the key to Ascendancy," Joestar added, his voice carrying the immense weight of the universe.
Grey nodded subtly upon hearing this. This was the exact same truth once told to him by the Abyssal God, Azathoth.
"To know this much hidden lore, you are not an ordinary man either, are you?" Grey questioned.
"I was just extremely lucky." Joestar shook his head. "In fact, it is purely because I was one of the very first Earth transmigrators that I am entirely too deep into this mess."
"You are the first Earth transmigrator?" Grey was taken aback.
But mathematically, that made perfect sense. If he was not the first, then how could he have possibly gathered the resources, power, and time to build Helios into such a legendary organization? That would have been entirely impossible for a newcomer.
"What exact year did you come from?" Grey asked curiously.
"The year 2025."
"Huh?!" Grey was completely taken aback upon hearing this specific date.
2025? Was that not the exact same year he himself had crossed over?
If that was truly the case, how in the endless reality could this fellow possibly be the very first Earth transmigrator? The timelines simply did not match up at all.
"I know it might be incredibly confusing."
"But..." Joestar closed his eyes and unleashed his true aura.
A blinding, ethereal star mark etched near the side of his muscular neck suddenly lit up. A terrifying, ancient power descended onto the cloud filled sky of the office, warping the very fabric of local time.

"I am... a Past One," Joestar said, his voice echoing with the layered resonance of countless dead eras. "I also possess a uniquely powerful cosmic physique, just like you, my friend."
"But, of course, nothing can stand in front of the fabled Fateless One physique."
"The Past One? How did you even achieve such a temporal paradox?" Grey asked, his mind racing to process the implications.
The special effects he had when he spoke must mean that this guy was the real deal!
Grey knew Jasmine had achieved the Future One physique because she forcefully jumped into the present timeline; with the God’s rebirth, the Aeonic barrier of time had been completely destroyed, allowing temporal slippage. She essentially rode the shockwave of a dying timeline backward.
But that exact same logic could not be applied to the concept of a Past One. To exist as a Past One implied someone had been violently thrown into the ancient, primordial past of this universe, forced to live through millions of years of hidden history just to reach the present day.
It was way too confusing to dissect logically without more data.
"I know it is deeply confusing to understand at first. But I will explain it to you much more clearly."
