Chapter 631: Old Man Arthur here to Sell Chaos Stones
Chapter 631: Old Man Arthur here to Sell Chaos Stones
Grey, Alissa, and Alan returned to the Main Universe.
The moment they crossed the dimensional boundary, Origin Will’s presence descended before them.
"What was the commotion outside?" She asked with visible curiosity.
"It was a Chaos Mine." Grey replied.
"A Chaos Mine?" Origin Will’s expression shifted with surprise.
She had heard about them from the nearby Origin Wills during her recent awakening. The information she received painted a clear picture of the situation.
"Most Chaos Mines are occupied by powers like the Throne Alliance and the Eternal Dominion." She explained. "The chaos stones are heavily secured, and you can’t access them easily."
"The Chaos Mines themselves might be endless, but the factions occupying them make it impossible to acquire stones normally." Origin Will continued.
Grey nodded at her words.
"Well, we have one now." Grey said. "But the issue is if we mine these chaos stones and convert them into Chaos Credits, it will definitely raise problems."
Origin Will frowned at the complication.
Then Grey smiled.
"But I got something in mind."
The idea forming in his head was simple yet brilliant.
He would change his identity and use the Chaos Severance Array on himself.
No divination could work on him then. No presence deduction spell could track him. The array made its target disappear and seamlessly merge with the Chaos itself.
Unless someone had a way to dissect the entire Chaos, they weren’t getting through.
As for changing his appearance, his transformation would be immaculate.
His Source was merged with his soul at a fundamental level. When he changed his appearance, it changed his soul signature and Source frequency as well.
If he ranked himself second in disguise capability across the 12th plane, no one would dare claim first spot.
The Chaos Severance Array was a godsend.
He could go around causing trouble across the 12th plane and slip away completely unnoticed. He was confident that not even Higher Realm beings could sense him through the array’s protection.
Grey spent some time visiting everyone in the Nexus Domain.
He checked on his parents, spoke briefly with Julie, and shared a few moments with Lia and Valeria.
After finishing his rounds, Grey returned outside with Alan in tow.
"We need to start a mining operation." Grey said. "As for delivering and transferring the stones, I’ll manage it personally."
They entered the hidden Chaos Mine through the Severance Array.
Grey approached one of the crystallized walls and ripped off several thousand Chaos Stones with a single motion. The stones piled up before him, glowing faintly with condensed void energy.
His eyes flickered with golden circuits as he activated his Mecha Race ability.
Data streams flooded his consciousness as he began constructing blueprints. The design took shape rapidly, mining bots capable of harvesting Chaos Stones at industrial scale.
But blueprints alone weren’t enough.
Grey raised his hand and invoked the Divine Decree Of Gods.
He could bend reality on his own through sheer power at his stage of power, but the Divine Decree was more direct. More importantly, it worked properly within the Chaos where normal abilities faced limitations.
Only after reaching the 10th rank would he be able to affect the Chaos outside through power alone. For now, the Divine Decree served as his tool.
Some of the Chaos Stones began transforming.
Their crystalline structures broke down and reformed into circuits, processors, and mechanical components. Technology necessary for the creation of mining bots materialized from raw chaos matter.
Within minutes, several dozen bots stood ready.
Grey’s mental interface connected to all of them simultaneously. He could sense their functions clearly, processing capability, mining efficiency, operational parameters.
Low-grade stones: 50 per hour.
Mid-grade stones: 1 per hour.
High-grade stones: 1 per hour.
The mid-grade and high-grade deposits were located far deeper in the mine. Grey decided against sending the bots down there immediately since the pressure at those depths would destroy them.
He would need to upgrade their construction first.
"Origin Will." Grey called out.
Her presence manifested beside him.
"Can you ask around? I need to know the mining efficiency of the Throne Alliance’s operations."
Origin Will nodded and her consciousness reached out to the nearby Origin Wills who had information about such matters.
She returned moments later with a number.
Grey compared it to his bots’ output and found his efficiency was slightly higher. But only in terms of Low-Grade Stones, they still had higher yield in Mid-Grade and High-Grade section.
A grin spread across his face.
"Perfect."
A day passed within the Chaos Mine.
The mining bots worked continuously, harvesting stones from the crystallized walls without rest. By the time Grey checked the accumulated haul, he had gathered 1,200 low-grade Chaos Stones.
It wasn’t a massive amount, but it was a solid start.
Grey prepared for the next phase of his plan.
He activated the Chaos Severance Array on himself.
The formation’s power wrapped around his existence, severing his connection to the greater Chaos. His presence became undetectable, his location untraceable.
Then he changed his appearance.
His features shifted and aged. Wrinkles formed across his skin and his hair turned white. His Source frequency altered alongside the physical changes, making the disguise complete at every level.
He decided to call himself Arthur.
Grey boarded Alan’s Reality Ship and traveled to the Central Hub.
The journey took less time than before now that they knew the route. The ship docked at the same port they had used previously, and Grey stepped out alone.
He made his way through the glowing pathways until he found what he was looking for.
The Chaos Exchange Bureau.
This was the central institution that handled all Chaos Stone transactions in the 12th plane. Every faction that wanted to convert stones into Chaos Credits came here.
Grey entered the building in his elderly disguise.
The interior was sleek and professional, with counters staffed by attendants processing transactions. A young man with sharp features noticed Grey approaching and waved him forward.
"Welcome to the Chaos Exchange Bureau." The attendant said politely. "How may I assist you today?"
"I want to sell some Chaos Stones." Grey replied, his voice carrying the rasp of age.
The attendant nodded professionally.
"Certainly, which faction are you representing?" He asked.
Grey met his eyes calmly.
"I don’t think I have to reveal that information, right?"
The attendant’s expression flickered briefly but he maintained his composure.
"Of course not, sir. That’s your prerogative." He said. "May I ask the source of the stones?"
"A Chaos Mine." Grey answered simply.
The attendant nodded and gestured toward a scanning device on the counter.
"Please place the stones here for verification."
Grey produced the 1,200 low-grade Chaos Stones and set them on the device. The machine hummed as it analyzed the materials, confirming their authenticity.
"Everything checks out." The attendant said. "One low-grade Chaos Stone equals one hundred Chaos Credits. Your total comes to 120,000 Chaos Credits."
He processed the transaction and handed Grey a crystalline card.
"Your credits have been deposited here. May I have a name for our records?"
"Arthur." Grey said.
The attendant typed the name into his system.
"Thank you for your business, Arthur. We hope to see you again."
Grey took the card and left the bureau.
The moment he stepped outside, the attendant’s polite expression vanished. His eyes narrowed as he pulled out a communication device.
A voice answered from the other end.
"What is it, Kallen?"
"Commander Sorion." The attendant, Kallen, spoke rapidly. "A new person just appeared with Chaos Stones. He didn’t reveal which faction he represented, and he claimed the source was a Chaos Mine."
"No one delivers stones at this time." Commander Sorion’s voice turned sharp. "Either he stole them from one of the mines, or a new one has opened up."
"That was my thinking as well, Commander."
"Good work, Kallen. If we find a new Chaos Mine because of this, you’ll be paid generously." Commander Sorion said. "It can’t be theft since no losses have been recorded from our side or other powers. It has to be a new mine."
The communication cut off.
Kallen extended his consciousness outward, tracking the old man who had just left.
Grey walked through the Central Hub toward the docking port where Alan’s Reality Ship waited.
He sensed the surveillance but didn’t react.
Just as he boarded the plane and left the Central Hub dozens of figures materialized in a perfect circle, completely surrounding him and the vessel.
They wore matching armor emblazoned with a familiar crest, their auras radiating killing intent.
It was the Throne Alliance.
Grey counted at least thirty evolvers, most at the 11th rank with several reaching the middle levels of the 12th rank.
Back at the Chaos Exchange Bureau, Kallen watched the scene through his extended consciousness.
A sneer spread across his face.
"Today is really your unlucky day, old man." He muttered to himself. "Maybe you should’ve considered retiring instead of stirring trouble like this."
Sorion then stepped forward.
His aura marked him as a sixth level 12th rank expert.
"Old man." He said with contempt. "You better tell us where you got those Chaos Stones from."
"Or what?" Grey asked with a calm smile.
The commander’s eyes narrowed.
"Or we’ll extract the information from your corpse."
Grey looked at the thirty cultivators surrounding him.
Then he sighed.
"I really didn’t want to cause trouble on my first trip here." He said with disappointment. "But you people just had to push it."
The commander sneered at his words.
"You think a 9th rank nobody can do anything to us?"
