Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 677: Using the Nexus Physique Again

Chapter 677: Using the Nexus Physique Again

Grey eventually sighed.

"I’m going to find the Mecha Race."

"I want to find them too," Jasmine said immediately. "I want to steal some of their data."

Grey became speechless for a moment at her blunt admission.

He eventually decided there was no point arguing.

"Then let’s go."

As they prepared to leave, Grey suddenly looked at Jasmine with a curious expression.

She was only at the 7th rank even after a long.

"Jasmine, why are you still holding yourself back?"

Jasmine blinked at her question.

"What do you mean?"

"I know you’re capable of reaching a much higher level," Grey said flatly. "I can’t understand why you haven’t simply advanced further."

"I’ve been busy with my research, but I’ve still managed to make excellent use of my Future One Physique and been training it. I recently used it to steal the lifespan of one of my future selves." Jasmine spread her hands helplessly.

"My lifespan has now increased to roughly ten million years," Jasmine added casually.

Ten million years.

It might not sound impressive compared to beings with truly infinite lifespans, but it was still a significant amount of time. For someone who had started as an ordinary human, it was a massive improvement.

Grey realized that Jasmine was beginning to fully utilize the abilities of her Future One Physique.

Since the physique allowed her to sense her other selves across possible futures, she could potentially take the powers and advantages possessed by those future versions and bring them back to her current existence.

The potential of that ability was terrifying.

"I need to take a bath before we leave," Jasmine said suddenly. "I’ll meet you afterward."

Grey almost asked why she even needed to bathe.

She was a higher-dimensional being now. She didn’t technically possess a normal physical body anymore.

But he stopped himself.

Women had certain things they enjoyed doing. Perhaps Jasmine simply liked taking baths.

He decided not to question it.

"I’ll wait here."

Jasmine nodded and disappeared into another section of the facility.

Grey waited patiently.

Soon enough, Jasmine finished bathing and returned to him. Her hair was slightly damp, and she had changed into fresh clothes.

"Let’s go."

The two left together but before they left, Grey made sure to send the White Devils to Lia and let her handle them.

They decided that the best place to begin searching for the Mecha Race was the Central Hub. It was one of the largest gathering points in the Endless Reality and the most likely place for a race capable of traveling across realities to have passed through.

Grey and Jasmine searched throughout the area.

They questioned people and looked for anyone who matched the description Jasmine remembered. She provided every detail she could about the Mecha Race because she had personally traveled with them before.

Despite their efforts, they found nothing.

No one seemed to know where the Mecha Race went.

There were no obvious traces of their presence anywhere.

As the search continued, Grey suddenly thought about his Nexus Physique.

If he could enter the Realm of Possibility, then perhaps he could explore countless possible outcomes and search through them for one where he discovered traces of the Mecha Race.

The idea seemed theoretically possible.

Grey attempted to activate his Nexus Physique.

Nothing happened.

He tried again, concentrating harder.

Still no response.

Jasmine watched him with a confused expression as he stood completely still. From her perspective, his expression made him look as though he was suffering from constipation.

"Chief Grey, do you want to go to the toilet?"

Grey became speechless.

"Jasmine, I’m a higher-dimensional being at the 10th Rank. I don’t need a toilet."

He tried to activate the Nexus Physique again.

This time, something finally happened.

Grey’s figure suddenly glitched. His existence flickered unnaturally before his entire body disappeared from the Central Hub.

He had successfully entered the Realm of Possibility.

Countless possibilities were branching endlessly in every direction. Every potential outcome formed another path, and every path split into more paths.

Until Grey chose an outcome, he himself was not truly established.

He existed only as a possibility among infinitely branching possibilities.

The enormous number of potential outcomes began placing an extraordinary burden on his servers. His existence itself was becoming difficult to process as countless potentials continued multiplying around him.

Grey understood that he needed to establish a specific outcome or at least wish for it to reach that Prime Outcome.

Without hesitation, he focused his thoughts on his one true objective.

"I want to find the Mecha Race."

He repeated the statement again and again.

"I want to find the Mecha Race."

He attempted to force the Nexus Physique to select an outcome where his goal was fulfilled.

"I want to find the Mecha Race."

As he continued repeating it, he began feeling his body move and glitching rapidly as his body shot through the infinity branches of time.

The entire world around him suddenly flashed between black and white. The countless possibilities collapsed into a single direction, and Grey was violently pulled back toward reality.

Grey suddenly reappeared in the exact location where he had been standing before.

He looked around in confusion, unsure whether anything had actually happened.

Jasmine was staring at him with a frown.

"What happened, Chief Grey?"

Grey looked at her.

"Nothing. Don’t worry about it. I just zoned out."

He then told her that they should continue searching.

He didn’t know if he had realized his desired outcome or not. The only way to check that was by searching again.

The two resumed their investigation. Grey approached more people and asked whether they had ever encountered the Mecha Race.

Time passed without any results.

Grey began to wonder whether the Nexus Physique had actually failed. Perhaps entering the Realm of Possibility had accomplished nothing. Perhaps his attempt to force an outcome had simply ended without producing any meaningful result.

Just when Grey began to lose hope, someone working at the Reality Ship station became thoughtful after hearing Jasmine’s description.

The person looked at them carefully.

"I might have seen someone like that here."
