Chapter 2989: The Realm of Oceanus V

"Sorry for the side mission. Charon was just really hungry right now. All of you who are hiding in the dark can come out now. If you do not want to do so then I will not be respectful and force all of you to come out." Adrian stated as his aura suddenly pressed unto the entire ocean floor.

Adrian looked like a demonic sea god that is being carried by an exquisite turtle dragon mount. His skin also glows a faint blue under the water as bodies of the Daemos tend to easily adapt in the area. The aura he released also created a powerful invisible pressure which made quite a number of those that were hiding suddenly jolt.

"We shall go out! Please do not attack us!" A voice in the distance stated as they suddenly came out of the caves that were small in entrance.

A group that is made up of Scylla and merfolk suddenly appeared and they could be seen cradling some injured people. Since this zone was marked as a no-aggression zone as it is one of the safe ways around the Forbidden Ocean, no race that live in the ocean would dare to make trouble here.

If they do then they would be exiled by their tribes as the Forbidden Ocean area is a treasure trove and also very dangerous. Having a safe spot would always be the best option as races from the ocean tend to die easily and recovering numbers is not easy. Even if they have great fertility, the mortality rate in the ocean area is still bigger.

"Princess Renyu!" One of the merfolk stated as she recognized Renya is with them.

"You have a title?" Altum asked.

"It is more honorary that I got from saving the merfolk’s former king." Renyu stated.

"Since you know them, I will not put pressure on them anymore." Adrian stated as he stopped exuding his aura and made them come near them.

Kanlaon merely glanced at them and a small blue orb activated. A warm current carried them towards Adrian’s group while Kanlaon returned to sleeping while coiled around Adrian’s neck. The group of underwater dwellers could not believe that someone was able to control the deep ocean as easily.

Controlling water might be easy above ground but underwater is different since it is heavier and needs more control. The fact that a being around the demon’s neck was able to easily beckon them made them shudder. They were wary but they were not totally afraid as one of the merfolk seems to know one of their companions so they should be safe.

"Princess Renyu! It really is you! I am one of the imperial guards. I am Coral." Coral, the Merfolk Imperial Guard, stated as her name might be due to the corals sprouting on her body.

Adrian looked at the beings before him and could easily see that the underwater world definitely has some unique individuals. They have similar races but there seems to be more mutations on their body compared to the beings on land. You can say that they were tempered by the dangers of the underwater world.

"I see. I am glad to meet you, Coral. I want to ask you why are you with the Scylla Princess." Renyu stated as she could easily feel the aura of the Scylla being protected by two other injured Scylla.

"Apologies! I forgot my etiquette and was unable to brief you on the situation." Coral stated as she began to tell them the story of what happened.

As per Coral’s story, the Scylla Princess was made to meet with one of the youngest sons of the Merfolk King as they were engaged. They were returning to the Scylla Waters via this path when raiders suddenly tried to attack them. They were able to fend off the raiders but they were unable to stop the dying raiders from cracking a mysterious stone and calling upon a Ghost Soul Leviathan.

They did not know how or why but the Ghost Soul Leviathan appeared before them when its waters were clearly far from here. The Ghost Soul Leviathan then proceeded to wreak havoc in this area and attack all of the guards that were stationed here. The only problem is that the Ghost Soul Leviathan was so powerful that it ate all of the other guards.

The guard detail of the Scylla Princess was mostly eradicated and the two other merfolk royal knight that came with her were killed protecting her. In the end, their party was devastated by the Ghost Soul Leviathan and they had to hide in the smaller caves for a day now. Thankfully, they were not pursued by the Ghost Soul Leviathan but they were trapped inside as well since that monster actually slept in the area.

They tried to escape and see if it was truly asleep but the guards that tested it were immediately killed by having their souls eaten. Some people tried escaping earlier when the Ghost Soul Leviathan did not have any activity for three hours but it was only faking it. It would immediately awake and then devour the soul of those that try to sneak out.

"We really thought that we would die here but we are thankful that the royal palace seems to have sent the mighty Princess Renyu to save us." Coral stated as she gripped Renyu’s hands and cried.

"Thank you for saving me, Princess Renyu. We might not have met before but I am Drona. The youngest child of the Scylla Queen. It is a pleasure to meet you despite the circumstances as I am very much aware of your prowess." The Scylla Princess Drona stated as she gave a small curtsy which showed the cute dragon heads below her skirt.

"Save you? I was not sent here to save you. I did not even know what happened to all of you here because I was not given any notice. I also did not get any message in my communicator that you have not returned. If you had not returned for a day then they should have already been looking for you." Renyu stated.

"This is bad! Princess Drona, I shall personally guard you for now as your two guards are injured. Please come with me." Coral stated as she was about to reach for Princess Drona when Adrian’s eyes looked like it burned in pale white flames.

"Stop your hand, corrupted mermaid." Adrian stated in a cold voice as his pressure flared up and he also increased the gravity that Coral is being affected by.

Coral suddenly slammed towards the ocean floor as the hidden blade in her hand got flicked away as her grip loosened. When the two Scylla guards of Princess Drona saw the weapon, they immediately shielded the princess despite their injuries being incredibly worse. They would definitely die for their princess but they would be unable to if they do not know who is truly hostile.

"Princess! Help me! This filthy over dweller is trying to kill me!" Coral shouted as she glared at Adrian.

"Is over dweller some kind of slur in the underwater world?" Adrian turned towards Altum to ask.

"Very much so. There is a large group of beings in the underwater world that says that those above grounds are uneducated and savages." Altum replied which shocked Adrian because the underwater people practically wage wars for fun.

"Why should I release you when you were trying to kill the little princess just now. This dagger of yours seem to also be laced with poison but I am not familiar with it. It does have the scent of a seaweed though." Adrian stated which made the two guards of the Scylla Princess to release their killing intent towards Coral.

"Princess Renyu, we demand justice! This merfolk tried to kill our princess!" One of the Scylla Guards stated.

"Coral, explain yourself. If I remember correctly, Princess Drona is allergic to seasalt grass which should be what is coating your dagger. Tell me, what conspiracy is this." Renyu stated with her eyes having that cold glare.

Coral then looked at Renyu before laughing fanatically as her body that was supposed to be injured suddenly grown more and more corals which decreased the effects of the increased gravity on her. Adrian did not intensify it as he is curious on what will happen since he needed a way to gauge the strength of the beings underwater after all.

Coral suddenly has a full set of coral armor covering her body and head. She even grew a coral spear and shield from her own body which increased her strength a lot. She managed to break free from the intense gravitational pull because of it.

"All of you will die here anyways, I do not need to explain." Coral stated as she charged towards Renyu as she knew that the most difficult opponent is the mermaid princess before her. She needed to at least make Renyu incapable of fighting and she would be able to deal with Princess Drona later.
