Chapter 2992: The Realm of Oceanus VIII

Wisteria carried them towards the Scylla Kingdom without any interruption as her aura is now in full blast compared to before when she needed to restrain in under Adrian’s commands. Princess Drona could be seen enjoying the ride but she was making sure to keep her dignity which Adrian found a bit hurtful. A child even if born with responsibility should always have the opportunity to become one or else they will not grow.

Just as they were about to reach the Scylla Kingdom border, they found the barrier that Reyna was talking about. This barrier was invisible to others but the oppressive energy it radiates can be felt. Ordinary people cannot see the barrier but those that are strong in magic and have special skills can see the runes on it. Adrian needed just one look and he saw the entirety of the barrier riddled with runes of different shapes and sizes.

"That is the barrier that separates the other places in the Forbidden Ocean. The barrier that is said to be where the Realm of Oceanus is located. No one has ever been inside without any invitation from our ocean divinity. They said that heroes of the past managed to open the barrier using their abilities and that the Titan of the Ocean Oceanus has given then a reward for their power and ingenuity." Princess Drona stated.

"Is that how the story is supposed to go? Has it become a legend since you speak of it as if it is not real." Adrian stated as he looked at Princess Drona.

"That story is real because the first Queen of the Scylla Kingdom is a hero that was granted the blessing of the great ocean divinity. The First Scylla Queen did not have dragons as legs back then but just normal tentacles. It was when she got the blessing from the great ocean divinity did her body undergo a transformation and strengthening which produced dragon heads as legs. This was also passed down to all Scylla later on but it is more prominent for the royal family." Princess Drona stated.

Adrian is intrigued by the story as this would mean that the Scylla basically have hidden dragon blood in their very blood. The blessing of the Titan of the Ocean was the one that triggered the evolution of the First Scylla Queen. This is indeed something that is not known by the world as records of Scylla are just those that have dragon head legs but there is actually more to the story.

Adrian could easily see that the Scylla are a race that do not like to go ashore and only the strongest amongst them could do so. This must be the reason why all sightings of them would mean they have dragon heads as legs. They are also a matriarchal society since only females can become Scylla. The men in their bloodline often takes the attributes of the father but there is also something unique about them.

The Scylla would always have a daughter as her firstborn. The children that are of the next order would either be male or female. If it is female then it is always a Scylla and the male takes the race of the father. Of course, the male offspring from a Scylla is also not weak as some inherit the sturdiness and powerful regeneration of the Scylla Race.

"Is it supposed to be this quiet? I know that we are basically near the Forbidden Ocean but there are no people." Adrian stated as he noticed the area being so solemn and silent.

Renyu told them that there are many beings of the ocean that try to challenge the Forbidden Ocean in order to temper themselves of be chosen as a champion of a divine water god. The fact that they cannot see anyone means that something is really amiss. Just as Adrian was about to ask once more, all of them suddenly felt numerous presences surround them. Adrian is actually quite impressed that they were able to hide from his detection but then he ruled it as his senses weakening in the deep ocean.

"Speak! Who are you!? Why do you carry a beast of divine origin!?" A voice so powerful and threatening shouted as eight glowing green eyes could be seen at the dark corner of the ocean.

"Sister! I am here!" Princess Drona shouted as her eight cute dragon heads appeared excited since she recognized the voice.

"Drona!" The voice that was terrifying earlier suddenly became soft as she spotted Princess Drona from the back of the spirit dragon turtle.

"Sister!" Princess Drona shouted as she then began to swim towards the voice that called to her.

The people that were keeping distance could be seen slowly swimming up to them when they suddenly saw Renyu. The atmosphere that was no longe overbearing when Princess Drona’s words were said but it suddenly became tense once more. Numerous soldiers that wore the emblem of the Scylla Kingdom steadied their hands as they gripped their weapons.

"What are all of you doing!? Stand down! Is this how you repay my benefactors!" Princess Drona stated as her regal aura exploded and the childish side of her could no longer be seen.

"But princess..." One of the Scylla Kingdom soldiers stated but the other princess has also given her statement.

"All of you stand down. This is an order." The princess with the commanding voice stated and all of the soldiers could only obey. They would not dare to move against the one destined for the crown after all.

"Yes, Crown Princess Aisla!" The soldiers shouted as the crown princess embraced Princess Drona.

"It is good to see you again, Crown Princess Aisla. Although, I do not think that the others are very happy to see me." Renyu stated as the soldiers were still wary of her and ready to strike if she makes any suspicious moves.

"Forgive them, Princess Renyu. There is a reason for this and it has already escalated into a war council." Crown Princess Aisla stated as she told them what had happened.

A day ago, one of the royal guards that were with Princess Drona came back heavily injured. This royal guard then have them the royal trinket of Princess Drona which enraged the Scylla Queen. The royal guard that was barely alive then reported that it was the Merfolk Kingdom that launched a surprise attack on them. The royal guard also told them that they tore Princess Drona apart without mercy.

Before the royal guard could say where this happened, sudden attacks on the borders happened. Soldiers of the Merfolk Kingdom was said to have raided towns at the outermost parts of the Scylla Kingdom. The news of the sudden attack is then overshadowed by the death of the royal guard that told them that Princess Drona has been killed. But before he lost his breath, the royal guard told a location where they were ambushed.

The Scylla Queen immediately sent scouts to investigate the route and found wreckages of the royal sea carriage. They also found pieces of Princess Drona’s dress and traces of Scylla Blood. The scouts could only report that the death of Princess Drona as true and immediately waged war on the Merfolk Kingdom. The citizens of Scylla Kingdom were all told to keep quiet in their homes as the flames of war has been ignited.

"Congratulations, Altum. Your cheesy drama plot that you always told me has come to reality." Adrian whispered to Altum which made both of them snicker.

"Who dares to laugh at the presence of royalty!" One of the soldiers that looked heavily armored shouted as he glared towards Adrian and Altum.

"General Seatus! Hold your hand! They are the ones that escorted my sister here!" Crown Princess Aisla commanded.

"But, crown princess! They dared to laugh in your presence when the situation is not something to be merry about! They must be laughing at our situation! Also, you must be careful, crown princess! This might not be your sister! It might be a being created using the forbidden merfolk magic! They must have used the body of our deceased princess to create it!" General Seatus exclaimed as the soldiers then tightened their grips on their weapons with killing intent being radiated.

"Guild leader! This is just like one of the plots in those dramas I am watching. We are definitely going to be detained and then we will break out to save the day!" Altum whispered which made Adrian shake his head as Altum was actually enjoying it.

"How dare you tell me that I cannot determine if my sister is real!? Do you mean to say that I cannot even tell if my sister is fake!?" Crown Princess Aisla shouted.

"It is not that, crown princess. I am just worried about you. Please look at that despicable mermaid! They even brought a worthless mouth breather with them! They are definitely planning something nasty!" General Seatus shouted as he pointed at Adrian which made the latter raise his eyebrows because he noticed something for a split second.
