Chapter 2995: Reversing the Flow

"Are you saying that we can only watch as the entirety of the ocean is swallowed in the greatest war between two kingdoms?" Renyu stated.

"Not necessarily. I said that she is poisoned severely that it is specifically made for her race. I did not say that it will be impossible to cure her." Adrian stated.

"That is right! You have Saena! I know that she has powerful healing and cleansing abilities." Rensyu stated.

"Saena cannot cleanse a poison so meticulous and tailored like this. It would take someone like Levin Cloud to actually purify it." Adrian stated which made Renyu look at him with disbelief.

"Then how are you going to cure her?" Renyu added.

"Simple. I just need to reverse the flow of time on the poison itself. Just make sure that I am not bothered by any outside forces since this will be a very delicate approach." Adrian stated as he explained further.

In theory, Adrian will apply temporal magic on the crown princess’ body but he will not halt or reverse the time on her. What Adrian will reverse is the flow of time of the poison itself. Demons are prohibited from meddling with the time of living people after all. What he can do is meddle in the time of the poison clinging to the body of the crown princess.

"Is this not taboo for your kind?" Renyu asked as she knows that there are taboo practices for each race.

"It is not as long as I do not increase or decrease her lifespan. Also, the flow of time of a living being is not easy to reverse or increase. Magic always has a price and it is not always mana or energy." Adrian stated as he proceeded to tell everyone to place the crown princess before him but the soldiers just looked at him.

"I trust this man. Bring my sister to him." Princess Drona stated as her aura of royalty exploded and she made sure to keep her tears for herself for now.

"You heard him! Once my sister is being healed, all of us must defend him or else the poison will never be extracted! Defensive positions!" Princess Drona commanded and the loyal soldiers to the crown all gathered around them.

"I will begin then." Adrian stated as he created a magic circle which made him and the crown princess levitate.

The traitors could see that someone was trying to save the crown princess from her poison. They all looked towards General Seatus but he was busy with Altum. The fight between the two of them is actually at a stalemate which means they are of the same power level. The traitors could only try and destroy the bubble barrier that Renyu created but she was making sure that it is fortified.

Adrian was confident when he said that he could reverse the flow of time of poison inside a living body but he has never tried it before. It should work in theory but that does not mean it will work in the most literal sense. He made sure to double check his magic circle so that it is perfectly scanning the body of the crown princess.

"Master, all relevant traces of the poison have been located. Do you wish to proceed?" Paradox’ voice echoed in Adrian’s mind.

"Good. Make sure to assist me with this as this is a delicate spell." Adrian stated.

"Understood." Paradox replied.

Ten different types of magic circles suddenly covered Adrian and the crown princess and all ten of them are temporal spells. He was making sure that the flow of time will not be hindered. This is to make sure that the crown princess’ body is not frozen in time while he does this. The poison itself must reverse while the crown princess must move forward.

Renyu knew that Adrian will pull through but the enemies seem to be increasing as more and more of their reinforcements started coming. The enemy might not have General Seatus to lead them but they already knew what needs to happen. They must kill the others and have the crown princess become a puppet ruler for their rebellion.

General Seatus is currently fighting against Altum and he could not believe that a mere Deep One was going against him without any problem. He was already in his enhanced state and even using the blessing of the Lord of the Watery Abyss. The four tentacles sprouting from his back is the proof of his covenant with this distorted god.

Each of the tentacle on his back as five times his arm strength yet the Deep One before him could counter them. Altum will stagger if he gets hit by the tentacles but he is using his large anchor to shield him from actual damage. In their fight, General Seatus and Altum are only burning through their stamina but they are not hurting each other at all.

"I thought that you would be a good opponent because you have been blessed by a distorted god. It seems that you have sacrificed much of what your actual race can do. You became an abomination that cannot even use your body perfectly in the depths." Altum stated as his expression became steady.

"What does a trashy fish man like you know! This is the body that has been given to me by my god! It is the perfect body sculpted by my god to destroy you heretics!" General Seatus shouted as his body suddenly got swollen and his tentacles became three times thicker.

"This is the power given to me by my god!" General Seatus shouted as he slammed his four tentacles towards Altum and it created a powerful shockwave that actually sent the latter a few feet away.

"If that is the body you are proud of because it is given to you then let me show you a body that has been tempered through the guidance of a god instead." Altum stated as his body became twice as big and his muscles exploded and he even his anchor that is the size of his body became smaller than him.
