Chapter 3008: Altum and Renyu Become Demigods

Items that are filled with divine energy could be seen floating in front of both Altum and Renyu. They were the first ones that were given the items as theirs did not involve the Titan Oceanus as much. Adrian already knew why his item is not given to him because it cannot be just given. There must be something like a seal placed on the Aqua Elementum but the Titan Oceanus never breaks a promise.

The first one that received their demigod evolution item was none other than Renyu. The item she received looked like a crystal tear that has the essence of the ocean and seas. Renyu could not believe that this is something that she will receive as this is basically an item only told in Merfolk legends. It is said that only the first merfolk king managed to get this item from a powerful divine being.

"You have been given the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear, child." A gentle voice came from the Titaness Tethys as she was actually the one that wanted to give this to Renyu herself.

The Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear is basically the highest tier possible for a Mermaid Tear. This is a condensed essence of the ocean or seas that has the properties of healing any kind of illness for a merfolk. It is actually considered as a sacred elixir as well other than an evolution material. The fact that she was given the highest tier means that her hard work was acknowledge by the two divine beings before them.

"Thank you for such a generous gift." Renyu stated as she bowed.

"Do not be shy, child. Absorb it so that we might see what you will become." The Titaness Tethys stated as she looked intrigued if something will happen to Renyu that is out of her predictions.

"Thank you for giving me such blessing." Renyu stated as she could not really say any type of rejection in front of the two most powerful divine beings that live in the ocean.

Renyu instinctively knew what she needed to do as she gathered every mana in her body and started to resonate with the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear. The Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear suddenly started to hum and release a radiant seven colored light. The energy that Renyu released unto the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear is then fed back to her as it is now purifying her body to the utmost.

If the trials before tempered her body to withstand the power, the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear is now purifying all remaining traces of impurities from her body. A black smoke started to come out of her body as the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear released divine energy to change everything inside of her.

Renyu did not feel any comfort during this transition as she could feel her blood boil and even her own bones crack. The only good thing for her is that she was not feeling it as much as her body was tempered from the repeated battles earlier. She now has a body that could actually contain the pure power that the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear can give her.

The Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear glistened even more as Renyu fed it more of her own mana. When her mana ran out, she proceeded with the next step and it is the most dangerous step. She started using her very own soul energy to call upon the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear. The last step is basically fusing the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear to her own body to create something like a core.

The Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear that was floating in front of her started to slowly drift towards her as if her soul was the thing that it craved the most. The eyes of those that were watching her could not be taken away as the entire process was enchanting. The water around her glistened in divine energy which made everything look like a new ocean goddess was about to be born.

Renyu channeled every bit of her soul energy into the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear and she could be seen visibly weakened. If her soul energy does not get returned by the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear then there is a large chance that she will die. Fortunately for her, the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear resonated with her as soon as she channeled the last bit of her soul energy.

The Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear suddenly flew towards her chest as her heart and the item started to fuse to become one. The beautiful Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear started to fuse to her chest and it could be seen stuck on her. As soon as the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear became her core, a loud scream was released by Renyu as a powerful torrent of divine energy was released.

Renyu’s entire body then curled up into a ball as she suddenly created a chrysalis made of shells around her. The entire area below her suddenly became a place where her chrysalis is planted. Even the two titans could be seen in visible shock but they could hide it since a smokescreen is basically hiding their reactions.

"Renyu is currently in metamorphosis, Altum. You should start as well." Adrian stated as he saw a dark swirling water pearl before Altum.

What Altum has been given is something that can only be found at the very depths of the ocean. It is not something that the weak can get since this item before him is pure condensed deep ocean energy. It actually called towards Altum as if it wanted to be returned to its owner but the energy in it was slightly higher than the Ocean Blessed Mermaid Tear that Renyu got.

"This is the Abyssal Ocean Deep Pearl." The Titan of the Ocean Oceanus stated.

Altum did not know what it was and he could not even identify it using his own appraisal skill. What Altum did not is that his body was craving it as if it was originally a part of his body and just wanted to be assimilated once again. Altum did not waste any time as he grabbed the Abyssal Ocean Deep Pearl and his head shifted to his fish form to devour it.

With a large gulp, Altum ate the Abyssal Ocean Deep Pearl and his entire body exploded with divine energy as well. If Renyu released a beautiful stream of energy, Altum released a powerful pressure that could destroy anything around him. The Titaness Tethys protected Renyu’s chrysalis from the sudden eruption of divine energy.

Adrian would have protected Renyu himself but he noticed that the titaness was already on it. He gave the titaness a grateful nod to show his reverence for helping his friend. Adrian’s eyes then shifted back to Altum as deep and cold energy from below started to seep out from the ocean floor. The energy seeping out is then being absorbed by Altum’s body and started to alter even his own soul.

"It is really a good thing to have the body tempered to such a degree. If he was not then he would have died from this process alone." Adrian thought as he could see that even Altum’s tough body started to get scarred and injured from receiving the energy.

The Abyssal Ocean Deep Pearl is also a top tier evolution item but no one was crazy enough to devour it. Just the mere touch of the Abyssal Ocean Deep Pearl could easily freeze the body of the unfortunate victim. Some say that even souls could be frozen by the Abyssal Ocean Deep Pearl if they touch it without precaution.

The energy that seeped from the very depths of the ocean then proceeded to create a chrysalis for Altum as well. The chrysalis looked like it was made from some kind of plasma covered with ice. It did not look like a chrysalis that could protect life at all. It was more like a chrysalis of a powerful ancient monster.

Adrian made sure that the two of them are stable before turning towards the Titan of the Ocean Oceanus and the Titaness Tethys. He once again gave a sign of respect to the Titan Oceanus. The Titan Oceanus actually gave some of his divine energy to stabilize the chrysalis that formed around Altum. This was to make sure that the powerful energy he is absorbing does not leak out or get unleashed.

"Thank you for the great hospitality, Rulers of the Ocean." Adrian stated as this was the title that the Titan Oceanus and the Titaness Tethys were given or told back then.

"It is an honor for us to serve the Champion of the Twin Gods and the current mediator of death." The Titan Oceanus stated as he stood up from the large throne and his figure started to shift to someone of Adrian’s stature. The Titaness Tethys also followed as well as if she wanted to do something fun.

"Thank you for the compliments, your majesties. I came for the Aqua Elementum." Adrian stated.
