Chapter 3023: The Titans are Being Monitored

Just as Adrian have told them, the souls of the pirates and acolytes that died were not usable because all of them lost the memories of what they were doing or at least memories regarding the Titans. Adrian is actually quite impressed that someone managed to create a magic circle that could erase such memories imprinted on the soul once they are killed. This is not something that just one mage could do and Adrian is now quite sure that there are more powerful mages that follow the Titans.

"Since we lack the justification, all we can do is strictly monitor the Titans that are in Tartarus. This is the reason why all of you have to switch shifts every day." Adrian stated with a voice that is joyful but all of the gods of death were thinking that they were now working overtime because of some idiots that do not want to carry their punishment.

"I assume that there are no objections." Adrian stated and no one actually objected.

All of the gods of death here knew that anyone that objects will be faced with double the shifts. They tried to objecting back when Adrian was new at this job and they learned the hard way. All of those that objected back then were all sent to do more of the tasks. Funnily enough, all of the gods of death like to get a slow work time or even a day for themselves which is why giving them more work as a warning makes them tremble.

"Seeing as there are no more objections, I think that is all for this meeting. Make sure to call me if there is anything suspicious in Tartarus." Adrian stated as all of the gods of death’s silhouette vanished from the chairs like smoke as soon as they could as if they were fleeing from some unknown terror.

Adrian created the special permission tickets for the Gods of Death for Tartarus. He actually needed to give some authority to them so that they would have free access to Tartarus. Unlike the other Death Realms, Tartarus is special because it is considered a place and is a divine being. So far, Tartarus itself is asleep and the will of that divine being is running on automatic. This is also the reason why only those with authority could use it to purge the criminals of Tartarus.

Giving the Gods of Death some authority also gives them partial immunity to any beings in Tartarus. After all, the Titans that are imprisoned in Tartarus are not really dead in the literal sense. They are only in a half death state to seal their overall strength. If they were not in that state then they could wreak havoc in Tartarus despite their imprisonment.

The gods of death immediately found the order they go when observing and they did not disappoint. The Gods of Death themselves did not go directly to Tartarus at first. They would send avatars of themselves in Tartarus that could be disguised as a small monster or even a prisoner. If there would be any changes in the behavior of the Titans then they would immediately hop into that avatar to appear in Tartarus.

Adrian would also check from time to time if he was not busy just to be sure. He has seen the area in Tartarus where the titans are being imprisoned after all. He is just very wary of it as they seem to detect his presence before when he was weaker but he could probably conceal himself now. Adrian then vanished from the council room and all of it became darkness.

It did not take long for three days to go by and a celebration is prepared just as Adrian promised Renyu. Adrian learned that demigod level merfolk like Renyu has special blood that could nullify curses for a few hours. He literally watched Gourmet come up to her and ask for a drop of blood. Gourmet then worked with Brew to create a potion that nullified the divine curse that Gourmet was afflicted by.

"When are we really going to storm Olympus to beat up that God of Wine! He is such a sore loser." One of the Pantheon guild members stated as they were almost crying tears of joy because what Gourmet prepared was truly delicious.

The curse on Gourmet really makes his dishes taste awful if they are more beneficial. This is basically one of the rare times that the guild is eating his cooking without it tasting like sandboard or the trash bin. All of the present guild members welcomed Renyu with open arms with special mentions of the guild members that live in water.

"I know that this should be a celebration but I should really say this now, guild leader." Renyu stated as she came with Altum. It seems that the two of them are finding solid ground after being party members for the past few days.

"Sure. Tell me." Adrian stated.

"The appearance of the Followers of the Water Abyss was indeed because of another mastermind. We tried interrogating who they were but most of what we caught are incompetent thugs. Even one of the higher leaders of the Followers of the Watery Abyss have given them so little. They only knew that they were all giving the same information that it was a blessed one that gave them the order.

"I already thought as much. I just hope that they could have an update for their plans regarding the investigation in the Sea of Monsters." Adrian added as he told them to enjoy the party for now.

"What should we do now? It seems that the Hunters of Artemis are now hunting all of us down. They are the unrelentless hunting hound of those Olympian bastards!" Namea stated as she really disliked being cornered as if she was prey when she was usually the one doing the hunting.

"Endure it if you must at the least... for now. We are planning to revive our master after all. We already have the items for the next stages to slowly remove the seal." Kholki stated.

The Apostles of Typhon are currently busy looking for other energy sources to destroy the seals. It seems that Olympus was onto them as they have sent the Hunters of Artemis with them. The danger of these hunters is that they do not stop until they have successfully hunted down their prey. It seems that there was someone that gave information about them to the Hunters of Artemis.

They were now moving carefully in the mortal realm as a a result and they are even making sure to erase their tracks. One of them almost got killed by the sudden encounter with them. The most dangerous thing about the Hunters of Artemis is that the Goddess of the Hunt herself participates.

The Goddess of the Hunt Artemis actually descends to a body of a demigod. Her real abilities might be sealed but all of experience in hunting down monsters are still there. She was the bane of all monsters that try to run away from her as they are all hunted down eventually.

"What if we take that item in the Forbidden Zone: Storm Cloud Ravine? It is up in the clouds that the Hunters of Artemis will not be able to see or encounter us." Causian stated.

"Easy for you to say! You are a Caucasian Eagle which has the ability to fly! Not all of us are able to fly in the sky like you. Storm Cloud Ravine is a forbidden zone where flight is a necessity and not a luxury." Phaea stated as she does not have any flying forms.

"What Causian says actually makes sense. Three of us can freely fly after all and we have relics that could grant flight to the others as well." Nodal agreed as they are only a step away from destroying the next magical seal.

"Not all of us should go. Someone needs to pull wool over the eyes of the Hunters of Artemis." Mera stated.

"Agreed. I shall stay here and bait them out." Myrma added as she does not want to go to that forbidden zone since most of the monsters there are avian.

She has great irritation regarding avian monsters as she looks delicious to them. The Myrmekes race looks like delicious ants to the avian monsters. They are basically looking at her like they want to eat her. As a result, she makes sure to not join operations that deal with avian dungeons. Even though she does not increase aggro, avian monsters would always target her.

"Since we have reached a decision, the Storm Cloud Ravine it is then." Lernea added.

"I guess I have rested enough. I think it is now time to go to the next destination which is high above the clouds. Also, I am going to have a dungeon date with Frey!" Adrian stated as he created a rift to vanish from Avalon.
