Chapter 3038: Raging Impundulu Ventus II

The entire area of the fourth layer actually shuddered as all silands are displaced. The explosion of the Cosmic Prism World and the energy from the Enraged Impundulu Ventus created a powerful shockwave that made even Adrian himself get blown away. Adrian reverted back to his normal form and used his wings as a shield for all the debris that got sent flying his way.

He also used the remaining energy he has to send Frey to a safe location. Adrian thought that he would at least cripple the enemy with that attack as he used all of his remaining energy to make sure it hits. His prayers were not answered though as a powerful cry from an avian beast resounded and released a powerful blast of wind that scattered the smoke created by the attack earlier.

"Seriously! That only shaved off 6% of its health?" Adrian grumbled but he should be satisfied with this as his attack was not an actual skill but usage of his mastery of Origin Magic.

The Enraged Impundulu Ventus with injuries all over its body suddenly appeared in front of Adrian in just one wing flap. Adrian could not believe such a thing but it seems that the Enraged Impundulu Ventus becomes faster with its health decreasing. The Wind Elementum is definitely doing something to its body but all he needed to do is tough it out. Before Adrian could react, a talon has already tried to scratch his face but he was lucky that one of his wings is still in front blocking.

"ARGH!" Adrian screamed as one of his wings actually got destroyed with one attack.

The Enraged Impundulu Ventus was supposed to follow up with its other talon but Wisteria and Kenos appeared from another dimension in a sneak attack. It seems Kenos was hiding them in another dimension to try and surprise the enemy but they showed themselves because Adrian got injured badly. Wisteria released crystal vines from her tree on her back and bound the wing of the Enraged Impundulu Ventus.

Kenos used his own long arms to pin the other wing but the strength of the two were not enough to hold the Enraged Impundulu Ventus for long. Adrian got sent crashing to one of the floating trees with the attack earlier but he was still alive but one direct attack actually reduced his health to 50%. The Enraged Impundulu Ventus tried escaping from the grasp of the two soulbounds that Adrian has left but they were not enough.

The Enraged Impundulu Ventus activated the sigil on its back once more and its wings released powerful wind blades that sliced both Wisteria and Kenos to death. The Enraged Impundulu Ventus no longer cared if its reckless use of its power would reduce its health. What it needs is to devour the being before it so that it could evolve. Wisteria and Kenos could no longer hold on and vanished into particles of light as they died.

The Enraged Impundulu Ventus looked as if it became smug as all of the beings that could threaten it has been killed. It did have some problem with numerous soulbounds earlier but it used all of its powerful skills to destroy all of them. Even Kanlaon got destroyed by the boss monster despite having powerful resistances to elemental damage. Even when Adrian summoned all of them together earlier, the boss monster killed all of them with the help of the Wind Elementum.

"Finally, a chance!" Frey’s voice suddenly sounded as she suddenly appeared behind the Enraged Impundulu Ventus and grabbed her spear.

Frey was different because she was now glowing in an armor made of aurora while wings with each feather glowing like the aurora could be seen on her back. The sigil of the Goddess of Life Freyja could be seen behind her like a mark. She was now using the power of the Goddess of Life Freyja as her avatar.

"I will make sure that you fall!" Frey shouted as she grabbed her spear tightly that even the Enraged Impundulu could not sway her away.

The Enraged Impundulu Ventus could blast Frey away once more but it just used a powerful attack to destroy Wisteria and Kenos earlier. It could not do it again in such a short amount of time or else it will need to strain the body even more and use more health as a cost. Frey thought that she would blast with a powerful wind explosion again but it seems that the Enraged Impundulu Ventus could not do it in succession.

"Since you cannot shake me off, I shall sacrifice all of my energy to kill you myself!" Frey shouted as she knew the power gap between her and the Enraged Impundulu Ventus.

All six of the aurorae feathered wings behind Frey became bigger and bigger as she used all of her mana to summon an aspect of the Goddess of Life Freyja. An aurora silhouette of a beautiful woman holding a runic sword appeared on top of them. Frey did not flinch as she knew that this skill will also kill her in the process.

"Frey!" Adrian cried out as he reached out his hand.

"Pick up the loot for me!" Frey state with a smile as the aurorae silhouette of the Goddess of Life Freyja plunged her sword down.

The aurorae sword plunged down towards Frey and the Enraged Impundulu Ventus without a moment to waste. The Enraged Impundulu Ventus tried to fly away but Frey used the remaining mana that she has to make her spear tip explode inside of the boss monster. The spear tip exploding released an explosion of light which shocked the insides of the Enraged Impundulu Ventus and prevented it from flying away.

In the end, the Enraged Impundulu Ventus could only be pierced by the sword that came down along with Frey. A horrible piercing shriek echoed as the Enraged Impundulu Ventus actually squeezed out more power from the Wind Elementum Sigil. It created a powerful wind barrier to try and block the attack that was coming down to execute it but the barrier shattered upon clash with the aurorae sword.

[Your party member, Frey, has died.]

Adrian could not believe it but the Enraged Impundulu Ventus actually did not die at all. He waited for a few minutes before coming to the area where the smoke was coming from but the Enraged Impundulu Ventus did not rise from it at all. Fortunately for him, he could still fly and used that strength to come close to the large bird with flickering green flames on its body.

The Impundulu Ventus is no longer enraged but is in a dying state and with only 1% health remaining. The body was twitching as all of it is aching and the only reason it was not moving is that the Impundulu Ventus knew that it would die if it moved. It was the Wind Elementum making it move and any usage of its body would burn the remaining health that it has. Adrian could only chuckle as he did not expect that they would win through sacrifice and grit in the end.

"We won." Adrian whispered as his wings plunged towards the chest of the Impundulu Ventus to finally defeat it.

The Impundulu Ventus tried to evade Adrian’s wings but it could not move its body the way it wants to. In the end, the Impundulu Ventus struggled with its last breath and finally went limp and turned to particles of light. Adrian could only chug a potion to repair some of his wounds.

[You have killed the Impundulu Ventus.]

"The items will need to come later. I need to get the Wind Elementum first." Adrian muttered but he did not expect that the Wind Elementum to suddenly manifest into a sigil upon the defeat of the Impundulu Ventus.

The Wind Elementum Sigil then tried to escape but the divine relic that Adrian has suddenly flew out of his inventory. The Wind Elementum that wanted to escape is suddenly sucked into the relic. The Wind Elementum manifested into a green marble that glowed brightly with greenish flames.

"I thought that it would be a hassle taking it but it seems defeating its host was the fastest way." Adrian stated as he began picking up the items that the boss monster dropped.
