Chapter 3051: True Covenant Between Demons and Dragons II

Chapter 3051: True Covenant Between Demons and Dragons II

The Ancient Dragons no longer stood on ceremony and agreed with the True Covenant. The Daemos Elders immediately started to draft what they wanted as well. Since Adrian brought two pieces of paper, the two parties made sure that they will write what they needed the most. This is an essential covenant after all and it will determine how both of the races will move on forward.

This is a True Covenant which means that everything is a permanent alliance until both parties decide that it is no longer worth it to uphold it. Adrian made sure that he is fair and stated that he will not side with the Daemos just because he is one. He is not really part of this covenant as a member of the Daemos Race after all.

As he is basically the witness between the two parties, he must ensure that everything is fair or else he is the one that will be punished. This is also the reason why there are not many gods or divine beings that pursue a True Covenant. The two parties are not the only ones that are going to suffer consequences if something falls short.

A True Covenant has three parts and is also called the Three Absolute Covenants. The Covenant of the Parties which details the agreement of the two parties that are the subject of the covenant. The Covenant of the Witness which details the duties of the witness and all his responsibilities. Lastly, the Covenant of the Universe which is a hidden covenant that enforces the rules of the True Covenant.

This is the reason why even gods fear using a True Covenant as they could be struck by punishment from it and slumber for hundreds or even thousands of years. The punishment for the True Covenant is so fierce that gods that can become witnesses for it have made sure that no one know they are one. The only one that will say that he can become a witness to a True Covenant is Adrian because he really does not need to hide it.

"Are the two parties already done?" Adrian asked as the two parties are no longer writing anymore from their paper.

"The Daemos are done." Elder Ascalor announced.

"The Dragons are also done." The Ancient Dragon Aurum announced as well.

Adrian nodded and snapped his fingers to make a crisp sound that made the two papers he handed to the two parties go up in flames. The paper that burned from the flames suddenly twisted into golden smoke and reformed to become one unified paper. The words and intention of the two papers the other parties used have been combined into one.

"Thank goodness that it has the auto-edit function or else I would literally take a few hours just to summarize every line that is written on it." Adrian stated as he took the True Covenant paper and read the terms that have been summarized by the system.

"Is everything that is written here, correct? I can only call for one chance for a rewrite if both parties are not satisfied." Adrian stated as he made the parchment float towards the two parties.

"Why does it seem that we are the ones that have more restrictions than them? Can the witness mediate or any comments?" The Ancient Dragon Namtar asked.

"The reason being that Party A did not impose much restriction on all of you. They are basically giving it for free without any cost at all." Adrian replied and the two parties waited if something would happen to him.

A True Covenant is not only dangerous while it is enforced but also when the details are being written. If the witness actually sided with one of the parties while it is being drafted then they would be punished. The fact that Adrian did not get struck by divine wrath or karma means that he is being absolutely impartial.

"What do you mean fair? We have to pay 30% of the operational cost using monster cores! That is basically a fee that is imposed when we are heavily restricted." The Ancient Dragon Khah-yil stated.

"You want to use such a powerful artifact yet do not want to pay the operating cost of it? The other party can even stretch this resource cost to at least half but they only stopped to 30% as that is your promised capability." Adrian stated and nothing happened to him once again which means that all he is saying is within fair rules.

Adrian’s answer came with logic and is absolutely within the bounds of being fair. Even the Ancient Dragon Aurum can only nod with his words as everything is within reason. Even the Ancient Dragon Aurum knows that the Daemos are basically giving the access for free without any sacrifice from their side. The 30% resource cost is not much as they basically horde monster cores in the dens anyways. They can give this resource cost for hundreds of years if they want to.

"Everything is fair since the witness is upright. The Dragons are happy with this current draft." The Ancient Dragon Aurum stated.

"Does the other party have any strong words for this current draft?" Adrian asked.

"The Daemos are satisfied with this draft as well." Elder Ascalor stated.

"Since both parties are in agreement, it is now time to finalize it. The representatives of both parties must place a drop of their blood onto the parchment." Adrian stated as the parchment lost its floating capabilities and dropped onto the table.

Elder Ascalor and the Ancient Dragon Aurum pricked their fingers and dropped their blood onto the parchment. Upon doing so, a powerful resonant wave of quiet energy spread all across the world. The only ones that felt this were the Daemos Race affiliated with Avalon and the Dragons affiliated with Dragon Island. This True Covenant is so fair that all beings regardless of age are bound to it which means both parties must never screw this up or else the younger generations will be crippled.

"The preliminary agreement has been passed. It is now my time to present my blood as a witness." Adrian stated as he also pricked his finger and dropped his blood onto the parchment.

As soon as Adrian dropped his blood, the golden colored parchment suddenly burst into different colored lights. The parchment suddenly started to turn dark in color as all colors of the light absorbed in it. The paper color itself also changed from gold to a cosmic blue that also had glittered stars when hit by light.

[You have become a witness to a True Covenant.]

"The secondary agreement has been signed as well. I, Equinox, as witness will always be right and just. I will always value fairness and always be impartial to both parties." Adrian stated as his figure started to flicker from his other form to his current form.

The parchment then became a scroll and flew towards Adrian’s hands. Adrian made sure to receive it safely and with respect. The two parties could only sigh with relief as everything seems to have finished.

"Do not be relieved just yet. We still need the final agreement to be signed. This is a True Covenant after all." Adrian stated as his form and energy suddenly shifted as the entire room became filled with chaos energy. The Daemos Elders and the Ancient Dragons felt their bodies become heavy with the pressure that Adrian was releasing.
