Pampered By My Three Brothers: The Return Of The Neglected Heiress

Chapter 1864: Extra: IV

Chapter 1864: Extra: IV

[Extra 7: Mint]

"What in the world...?" Mint’s face twisted as she read something on a computer in a dark room. "Even though their bases were raided, the legacy she left—"

"What is this?"

Mint jumped from her chair, hitting the desk with her leg as she looked at the person behind her. Because the room was dark due to the blackout curtains, Benjamin popping up behind her out of nowhere almost gave her a heart attack.

"Beanie!" she shouted. "You almost gave me a heart attack! For a second, I thought you were that crazy Ray!"

Benjamin straightened his back, facing her.

"Mint, what is this again?" He pointed at the screen. "Why are you looking up cases again?"

Mint almost bit her tongue before laughing awkwardly. "I’m just... just bored."

"You already retired and promised that you would stay out of these kinds of things!" Benjamin scolded. "Also, look at your uniform! You’re going to start working for my boss soon, but even this isn’t ironed properly!"

Benjamin grumbled on and on as he slid the curtains open, making the light quickly spread through the room. He then picked up her uniforms, placing them over his arm while still nagging like a mother.

"Tch!" he glared at her. "How can you go to work without ironing your clothes?"

Mint pressed her lips into a thin line, watching him walk away to iron her uniform. She smacked her lips and skipped her steps, following Hugo.

"Beanie~ how about you teach me, eh?!" she cooed as she followed, leaving the computer on and the case she was reading.

After what happened on the island, Mint was granted a badge and a promotion. However, she respectfully declined the promotion and asked for permission for an early retirement. With her remarkable achievement and impeccable track record, the person who awarded her with that request was none other than the President of Anteca.

Hugo also earned a badge, but unlike her, he couldn’t just leave yet. So, Hugo would need one more deployment.

So, currently, Mint was just taking a long vacation, which she rarely had. And as she did, she would find herself looking into some cases in the underground world.

After they recovered Nathalie’s remains just drifting in the ocean, they apprehended all her members. Once that was clear, they raided all their bases in Anteca while the Interpol focused on their foreign headquarters.

But even with that, Nathalie left a legacy.

The businesses she established still ran rampant in the underground. She might have fallen, but another one rose.

Either way, Nathalie wasn’t the only one who left a legacy—Mint did as well. After all, even when Mint retired to fulfill her promises to Benjamin, those who had witnessed her and the Bennet family’s bravery sparked something in those who saw their long battle.

So, Nathalie’s end might not have eradicated all the evil in the world, but this victory against her was proof that evil doesn’t always prevail. And as long as there was evil, there would always be people who would fight for what was right.

[Extra 8: Butler Jen and William]

"So, your kid left the company, huh?" Seated on the bench in the Pierson Corporation rooftop garden, William was eating some bread brought by Butler Jen.

Butler Jen smiled warmly as he turned to him. "He did, but good sir, he is not my child. Although I’ve witnessed him grow into a fine young man."

"Ahh..." William nodded, already aware that Butler Jen was a butler. "You call him that?"

"Yes."

Now that William thought about it, Butler Jen was sort of on the caliber of Butler Hubert. For someone like him, he now wondered who this child was.

"If you don’t mind me asking, who is this... person you kept visiting back then?"

"It’s the First Young Master, Atlas."

"!!!!" William’s eyes widened in horror as he paled.

Butler Jen, unaware of the trauma Atlas had caused on the man, chuckled. "He said he’s reconsidering. So, he really appreciates that you keep insisting. He hadn’t realized just how much the executives of Pierson Corporation value him."

Hearing this, William shook his head in horror. Just the mere thought of Atlas coming back was enough to fill him with fear.

’No! Don’t let that ball of resentment back in here!!’

[Extra 9: Jonathan]

Jonathan sat quietly, staring at the person seated across from him. Between him and his visitor was a thick glass with little holes so they could hear each other.

"Zoren Pierson," Jonathan called, staring at Zoren’s cold face. "What do you want?"

Zoren studied the face through the glass. Unlike usual, Jonathan looked haggard with an untrimmed beard and slightly longer hair that was now tied back. This may be the first time Zoren was visiting him after his arrest on the island, but it wasn’t the first time they had found themselves in this situation.

In his first life, Jonathan was also incarcerated. The only difference now was that, unlike in their previous life, Jonathan looked... calmer now. Sure, he looked a bit haggard, but there wasn’t a trace of malice.

Without a word, Zoren reached for the folder on the small surface before him and slipped it through the small hole underneath the glass.

"What is that?" asked Jonathan.

"Read it if you want to know," Zoren rose from his seat, his eyes down on the man. "Although I didn’t like how you tried to tarnish my father’s reputation, I still appreciate how you cooperated in catching the people involved in that conspiracy."

With that, Zoren turned on his heel without any thought of idling. But just as he took a few steps, he paused and looked over his shoulder.

"If we ever live for the third time, let’s stay out of each other’s path, Vincab."

Deep lines appeared between Jonathan’s brows, staring at Zoren in confusion. His gaze then fell on the folder, and he reached out to take it. When he opened it, what graced his eyes was a birth certificate.

The only document that proved he existed: that he had an identity of his own. Not a borrowed name because of a scheme or a name that was meant to fulfill a duty to deceive. But a name that was truly his—something he owned.

His mouth twitched as it trembled slightly, swallowing the tension in his throat.

"Mhm." He hung his head low as tears dropped onto the page, crying through his gritted teeth. "Let’s not meet each other again in our next life."

[Extra 10: The Practiced Babies]

When Zoren and Penny joined the Prime Group after that revelation, Hayley and Shawn followed them. Shawn and Patricia just followed because. But even though the other two weren’t shocked about Penny and Zoren’s relationship, that still wouldn’t save them from the next big reveal.

Inside the Prime Group’s CEO’s office, Hayley, Teddy, Shawn, and Patricia stood while Penny and Zoren sat on the couch.

"What?" Penny asked, looking at them suspiciously. "The misunderstanding’s clear now, so I don’t need to do anything anymore."

"Miss Penny, your husband was..." Hayley stuttered. "... him?"

Penny and Zoren tilted their heads. "Yeah?" she answered. "That’s what he said earlier."

"Then, who was the guy who visited you here not long ago?" Teddy blurted out, making Penny furrow her brows.

"Who?"

"The guy who wears this rockstar outfit! He usually comes in with ripped jeans!"

Penny blinked, and then Zoren thought about it just in case. But then, only one person came to their minds who would wear such clothes.

"What are you guys talking about?" Patricia looked at them in dismay. "That’s Penny."

"What?!" Hayley and Teddy gasped.

"Tch. How could you guys not know?" Patricia pulled out her phone and showed them a photo of Penny in her men’s clothing. "See?"

Moving their faces closer, Hayley and Teddy’s jaws dropped. Although Penny looked slightly different in the photo—looking a bit like Slater—they could tell it was her! Their jaws dropped as they looked at Penny and then back at the photo.

Penny, on the other hand, furrowed her brows. "Patricia, why do you even have a photo of me in my men’s disguise?"

"..." Patricia pursed her lips and quickly hid her phone. "Well, nothing! I just thought I should save it for core memory purposes."

"Core memory purposes?" Penny mumbled, narrowing her eyes while Patricia avoided her gaze.

But then, Zoren spoke.

"You’re wearing it," he said, eyes on Teddy. "I’m glad you liked it."

"Huh?" Confused, everyone turned to him. "Wearing what, sir?"

Zoren jerked his chin. "The watch."

"Watch?" Teddy repeated as he instinctively gazed down at his watch. His brows knitted.

Wasn’t this the one he got from Father?

"I see all of you were wearing everything I sent you," Zoren mused, satisfied. "I’m glad you liked them."

The four of them looked at him blankly before Patricia blurted out, "You’re... you’re Father?!"

Zoren smiled. "I am, Least favorite child."
