Pampered By My Three Brothers: The Return Of The Neglected Heiress

Chapter 1865: Extra: V

Chapter 1865: Extra: V

[Extra 11: Yugi]

"Hah!" Yugi laughed as he watched the live broadcast of Zoren announcing to the world whose woman the world shouldn’t mess with.

He smirked. "I guess that should fix this all."

After all, rumors about Penny’s affair had been rampant, and they were getting annoying. Just like today, the reporters were getting out of hand. Fortunately, Zoren came just in time.

"Well, I guess I should see them first," Yugi pushed himself up and walked out of his office.

But on his way to Penny’s office, he caught Patricia, Shawn, Teddy, and Hayley walking in his direction. The look on their faces made him take a step back.

"Uh oh," he muttered even before he could hear what made those four look so upset.

"Sir Yugi!" Hayley called, her eyes burning in a way that reminded him of the angry Jessa. "Why didn’t you tell us Father is actually... him?!"

"It’s not me!" Yugi’s breath hitched, and out of instinct, he turned and fled for his life. "I’m just trying to save your jobs!"

[Extra 12: The Lingering Questions]

"Hmm..."

"Hmmmm...."

Zoren glanced at his wife, who was rubbing her chin while deep in thought. The two of them, together with Atlas, were just idling in the back patio for some fresh air. While Renny and Chunchun were playing not far away, Penny had been humming loudly.

"What is it?" Finally, Zoren asked, setting down the paper he was reading.

Atlas didn’t say a word, but he glanced at his sister. His basket, where his kids were, sat on the table between them.

Penny smacked her lips and looked at them. "Ugh. I’m just thinking — who is that kid and the woman on Pierson Island?"

Zoren and Atlas went quiet and exchanged a look. They then faced Penny.

"I mean, they just appeared and then disappeared!" she intoned. "Are they our enemies? Or allies? Should we be worried about them?"

"Whether they were enemies or allies doesn’t matter," said Atlas flatly. "They won’t bother you."

When Atlas said something like that, she believed it. Even so, her curiosity itched to know.

"If they are from the secret society, then I’m sure First Brother would be the first to know," Zoren remarked, and Atlas nodded. "And since they haven’t bothered us, it’s better not to worry about them. Just being extra cautious is enough."

"I agree with him," Atlas backed up. "Think of it as them being part of your imagination. After all, you’re the only person who saw them."

Penny frowned. "Are you saying I’m crazy?"

But Atlas only shrugged. She sighed and leaned back.

"Is it part of my imagination?" she wondered to herself, but she knew it wasn’t. "Well, I guess you guys are right! There’s no need to worry about that when First Brother already sacrificed so much for everyone just so we won’t worry about such a thing!"

Zoren offered his wife a subtle smile and nodded. His smile, however, froze when his gaze landed on the babies in the baskets.

"First Brother, why do you keep them always in their baskets?" he asked out of pure curiosity. "You should buy them a much more comfortable carrier."

"They like the basket."

"Did they say they like it?" Penny asked, earning a cold glare from her brother.

"Apparently, they can’t speak normally. They keep stuttering, so I’m hiring a speech therapist. If you know one, let me know."

Penny and Zoren: "..."

The couple just looked at Atlas and then at the babies, who were too quiet in their own baskets.

"Well..." Penny cleared her throat, moving her face closer to the table where the babies were. Looking at them, she couldn’t help but smile. "... I guess they like these baskets after all."

"Mhm." Zoren hummed. "They look so comfortable in them."

For a moment, the couple just stared at the babies before they looked at each other. The corners of their mouths hooked up, wondering how their children would turn out.

’I hope they got her smile,’ he thought, and Penny also thought, ’I hope they got his eyes.’

Meanwhile, Atlas looked at the couple flatly while the babies were just staring at them, as flat as their fathers.

[Extra 13: We are]

Three years later...

Penny and Zoren peeked through the small gap in the bathroom door from the outside. They looked at the sink, where they could see a small white strip on it.

It had been three years since Nathalie’s downfall and about two and a half years since the two of them had started trying to conceive. Sadly, each time, a test showed disheartening results. Who would have thought conceiving could be so difficult?

Even so, the two of them didn’t let sadness, frustration, or disappointment discourage them. They had each other, after all.

"Should we check?" Penny asked, looking up at her husband.

Zoren gazed down at her, catching the slight hesitation in her eyes. "I’ll go check it first."

"Okay." Penny nodded and drew away from the door. "Tell me what the results are, okay? I’ll just stay here with Blacky and Chunchun."

With that, Penny quickly tiptoed to where Renny and Chunchun were to play with them. Zoren watched her, sighing faintly because he knew this was affecting Penny just as much as it was affecting him. But even so, Penny had been showing signs that she might be pregnant.

"It’s fine," he whispered to himself as he walked into the bathroom. ’Whatever the result is, it’s fine.’

It wouldn’t be the first negative result. And at this point, Penny and Zoren could only console each other and try again.

Zoren didn’t dare look at the pregnancy test first as he stood before it. He had to take a deep breath and then pick up the test, before he slowly faced it.

"..."

"Blacky, Chunchun, are the best~" Penny sang, holding Renny’s paw while swaying her body from right to left. Chunchun, on the other hand, was on her lap with a blank look.

Blacky: Do you think Mom is alright?

Chunchun: Does she look alright? She’s clearly distracting herself. Let her sing.

Penny continued singing until she noticed that Zoren hadn’t come out of the bathroom. Turning her head, she caught her husband through the open door, standing by the sink.

"Renren?" she called, brows knitting. Yet, he didn’t move. So, Penny put down Chunchun and then walked toward the door.

She stopped before entering. "Renren, is everything okay..." she trailed off, catching tears dripping onto Zoren’s hand. She pressed her lips into a thin line as sadness filled her chest.

For her, she knew it was tears of disappointment. After all, Zoren had been blaming himself for the reason they were having a hard time conceiving. It was because even though Zoren had recovered, medicine had kept him going his entire life. So, parts of him were a bit toxic.

"It’s okay," she whispered as she walked toward him, hugging him from behind. "It’s okay, my love."

Zoren peeled her hand from him and turned around to face her. Tears streamed down his face as he stared at the weak smile on her face. But then, the corners of his mouth hooked up as he handed her the pregnancy test.

"It’s positive," he whispered, making her brows rise.

"Huh?" Penny almost felt like she had gone deaf by his words. But when her eyes fell on the pregnancy test and saw the results, surprise slowly took over her face.

PREGNANT.

For a second, she could only stare at it before she gasped in surprise. She looked up at him, shock and joy mixing in her eyes.

"We’re pregnant?" she asked, and he nodded through his tears. "Oh, my god!"

Penny jumped and wrapped her arms around his neck, her heart beating so fast she was almost hyperventilating.

"We’re... we’re pregnant!" she repeated under her breath, tears blurring her vision. "Renren, we’re... going to become parents."

The second those words slipped past her lips, tears started streaming down her face.

Hugging her, Zoren pulled her closer. In tears, he breathed out with a shaky voice, "We are."

Chunchun and Renny sat by the door, watching both Penny and Zoren cry while hugging each other. After a moment, Penny and Zoren parted to check the pregnancy test. They smiled from ear to ear, only to notice their first babies looking at them.

"Blacky! Chunchun!" she muttered, rushing to them and hugging them. "You’ll have siblings soon!"

Three years of trying; three years of a rollercoaster of emotions.

Conceiving had been difficult, which sometimes made them wonder why. But nine months later, they finally understood why it took them that long. Nine months later, Penny and Zoren welcomed four adorable angels who would light up their lives...

... and would become Zoren’s biggest flex as a man who had impregnated his wife four at once.
