Chapter 1750: As They Arrive

Chapter 1750: As They Arrive

The largest event of the galaxy, involving with absolute certainty the elite, prestigious, galaxy-renowned experts of three different galactic zones would participate, was on the verge of officially starting. The venue's location was none other than the home planet of the Knightly Dao Pavilion's Pavilion Master Shang Liu, the legendary instructor of 200,000 years of age, and due to this, the activity within the Essence Sword Starfield was indescribably massive.

The Essence Sword Starfield had Voidships docked across many neighboring planets to the point they filled the skies, and a few were under the shadowy clouds of some Voidships given their immense sizes, darkening the sky like a stellar eclipse and causing some panic among the common folk.

As for the planet that would be the venue, the Blessed Knight, its immediate space was devoid of this hectic cluster, only a few extraordinarily prominent figures were allowed to dock their vessels nearby. This included the three Sages that had been taught by Shang Liu who were here to meet their aging instructor to show gratitude and celebrate his long life and intentions to find a proper suitor for his gorgeous descendant.

The Blessed Knight was at the peak of a large-sized planet, rather massive, with an abundantly rich environment, most of it was composed of oceans and mountains, with over half the planet covered in large bodies of water. It was a planet very beneficial to the growth and development of life. It had a mountain that resembled a greatsword that pierced into the clouds and seemed to want to enter the starry sky, exuding a strong aura that was often used to test cultivators on a perilous climb.

It was said that those who could climb this great mountain had the right to ascend to great heights, and the final requirement for preliminary graduation of the Knightly Dao Pavilion related to successfully making it to its peak alive. It was mostly used to test those in the Astral Core Realm. Additionally, it was said that the mountain peak had a door that led to a secret realm for those who ascended their mortal state and could test their ability yet again. The final graduation of the Knightly Dao Pavilion was rumored to occur here.

Above and beside this tall mountain known by all as Mt. Dao Forge was the location of the venue as a floating palatial continent. This was not any palatial continent, but the main palace where experts at the Rune King, World Emperor, and Original Magistrate of the Knightly Dao Pavilion, those of great status, would conduct discussions, make decisions, and enter into secluded cultivation in peace. It was normally within a World Realm, but for this event, it had been extracted and refined into a tiny-sized palatial continent with the means to house the arriving cultivators in all sorts of specialized abodes tended to by servants and disciples of the Knightly Dao Pavilion.

It was a great gesture to bring out their holiest of lands for others to experience, a clear sign that Shang Liu was putting his foot first in this trifecta. This was his last wedding, 200,000th birthday, and the place where a suitor for the most renowned descendant in his life would potentially obtain a suitor that was worthy of her, if anyone was.

The palace and various abodes on the floating continent had a very refined, ancient feel to it, as many of the designs of the palace were outdated by a hundred thousand or so years yet crafted with immaculate care and diligence. It was as if one entered a piece of etched-out history.

For short-lived mortals, especially societies who developed fast in terms of architecture, then these palaces would be several centuries old built with techniques that might have been lost to history, inexplicably yet somehow greater than their modern buildings that were built through continued innovation of generations. It carried a truly ancient and majestic feeling.

It was hard not to feel awe upon seeing it all for the first time.

The main palace was exceedingly ancient, large enough to contain hundreds of thousands of individuals, yet was breathtakingly beautiful to observe. This was where the experts would be, ready to celebrate this trifecta of events that had moved multiple galactic zones.

Within this main palace was a balcony leading to Shang Liu's bedroom, and on this balcony was a man of middle-aged appearance with dark hair and greying sides, an extraordinarily masculine face with chiseled cheekbones and sword-like eyebrows, a body that was by no means slender, and contained a fair amount of muscle and might, with his robes tugging at the outline and contours of his powerful form, and of a rather impressive height.

He was rather handsome, but not by too much. His features felt more imposing than handsome and this naturally gave way to an impressive first impression. With eyes were a turquoise color, and from the exact shade, it was almost indistinguishable from Young Master Shang's. This was an extreme rarity among cultivators, especially the depth of color they could sense, and how the shades of a single color can extend for tens of thousands of different variations with light differences on both spectrums of lighter and darker shades, yet this specific color was an exact copy.

This was typically indicative of a shared Ocular Art or a strong familial bloodline that was heavily dominant. This was akin to Wei Wuyin's Magi lineage's silvery eyes that both he and the King of Everlore shared. If anyone met Wei Wuyin and the King of Everlore, it was almost impossible not to feel an inexplicable link between them.

This exact feeling could be felt from this man!

"Pavilion Master Shang!" A voice resounded from behind the middle-aged man, leading into the bedroom, and at the door. His gaze was focused on the skies, observing all the newcomers that were here for his last wedding, his 200,000th birthday, and those bright-eyed and ambitious youths who sought his daughter's hand.

He was Pavilion Master Shang Liu!

Only after a minute had passed did he remove his turquoise gaze away, turning around, and waltzing into his room with a steady gait that failed to betray his exceedingly ancient age. Every step was powerful. Every breath was impactful. Every change of expression was unforgettable.

At the door was a short-haired woman who resembled a mortal in her late twenties, wearing the signature colors of the Knightly Dao Pavilion, a pristinely white and turquoise outfit with possessed a few light battle garments such as leather bracers and a pauldron strapped on her right shoulder. She exuded a heroic aura.

Opening the door, she saw Shang Liu and hurriedly saluted with the utmost respect. Shang Liu's eyes settled on her figure without a word.

She clearly articulated her purpose, "I've received news that the third-ranked Outer-Creation King, the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint, has indeed departed via the Star Disc of the Incandescent Star Palace from the Tiny Heart Starfield, and has confirmed his attendants."

Her words caused Shang Liu's eyes to flicker with emotions. This was unexpected. Considerably so.

It was long since reported by the various forces that this Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint with a thriving alchemical lineage with an incredible set of products was a Supreme Sage at most and an Enlightened Sage at the very least. After all, he had, with a single thought, caused the Dao Enforcer that had retrieved him to be helplessly carried along against his will. Moreover, his next words of threat were known by most as he directly indicated that he would kill the Enlightened Sage Dao Enforcer first before paying a fine afterward.

The commotion startled the entire galaxy, and not even the Seven Utmost Towers made a single comment on such aggressive actions. They silently observed initially, just like the others, and discovered that the newly renamed No-Name Galaxy, the Resolute Dusk Galaxy's four ruling Sages, was accompanying him with a very servile attitude.

It wasn't hard to learn that the galaxy had been changed tremendously by his arrival, and he had likely overcome the Supreme Sage-level guardian there that even many of the old monsters of the Utmost Purity Galaxy feared, forcefully uniting them under a single banner without contest. This was an unprecedented development.

But now this person had confirmed his arrival and was using a Star Disc, a likely experimental and costly artifact, to make their way to his celebration? This wasn't too shocking as he had more or less confirmed his attendance earlier, but just like the other Enlightened Sages and Supreme Sages, Shang Liu and the rest of the world had expected the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint to pull his attendance and send Luo Ning instead.

They were ready for Luo Ning, his wives, and a Sage or two.

Wasn't he scared of the looming prophecy?!

By simple deciphering of context, it was said those of the Enlightened Sage and Supreme Sage stages would be met with a calamity upon appearing, and he was fully aware of this prophecy. Moreover, he understood to some extent why, including being rather happy that it fit his desires. Why was he coming personally?

"I see. To think he would make his way here." Shang Liu commented. His voice was dense and rich, deep and powerful, and there was a strong tone of authority latent within, likely formed after so many years of commanding cultivators. Shang Liu looked at the young woman and saw that she was waiting for him to digest before speaking more, "Go on. What else?"

"Yes, sir!" She exclaimed, "The Young Miss is reluctant to leave her room."

"..." Shang Liu's eyes narrowed. Shang Wanqing's willful nature was revealing itself at an untimely moment. "She must." He said just two words and the young woman immediately understood. Despite Shang Wanqing's protests, she had to enter the scene. She had to.

Tens of thousands of years ago, long before Shang Wanqing was born, Shang Liu was given a prophecy by a Supreme Seer. The engagement of his last-born daughter to an outstanding young man would generate the impetus for his ascension to the True Sage, and if he capitalized on that moment, the doors of true heavenly resonance, entering the Resonant Soul Realm, would be completely opened to him.

This was why he didn't mind the current circulating prophecy, as he didn't wish to share this opportunity. Of course, he knew there were significant risks, and was forewarned that a single wrong step would be enough to collapse his path forever. However, he knew that this opportunity could only exist on the union of his last wife, his 200,000th birthday, and the fresh engagement of his greatest descendant.

All of these factors must happen.

She must.

The young woman left with determined steps.

Shang Liu returned to the balcony. Wei Wuyin's impending arrival was weighing on his heart. Then, his eyes spotted it.

The rainbow light of Stellar Transit Light.

They had arrived.

Sitting cross-legged atop a clear lake was a young man who was extremely dashing and heroically flawless in terms of looks, as if he came out of a Myriad Yore Continent's novel of an immortal tale, firmly its protagonist striving for immortality, with long, loose grey hair with the front tied into a topknot.

He wore a pristinely white swordsman's robes with a sheathed sword placed on his crossed knees, his eyes closed, and his breathing extremely steady. After a while, he opened his eyes to expose a glint of sharp light, reached into his robes, and pulled out a spiritual jade. An image was projected of an exceedingly beautiful woman.

She had dazzlingly turquoise eyes that could steal a heart with a single glance, and lure a soul with a few blinks, a head full of well-maintained long white hair that flowed down her shoulders like a waterfall, with the sides dyed a natural gold, while tied into a thick braid that fell down her back and swayed at times, utterly mesmerizing to the eyes.

The jade itself was lifelike and vivid. It carried a flowery aroma that belonged to its original owner, the very gifter of this jade.

The young man's dark eyes softened with tender warmth and gentle emotions. His fingers lightly caressed the projected image but no warmth was returned. Suddenly, he kept the jade as his posture became calm.

A shadowy silhouette appeared behind him. "Su Yi, the one named Wei Wuyin, the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint, has indeed arrived at planet Blessed Knight."

"..." The young man, Su Yi, frowned slightly but the frown went away soon after. "Can you hold him back?" He asked flatly.

The shadowy silhouette was silent for a few seconds, "You've helped us, so we will help you. Even a Supreme Sage can only be held back by us."

Su Yi nodded as he lightly touched his sword. A sonorous sword sound echoed out, disturbing the lake as endless ripples were produced.

"Then, we will proceed. Get the others ready," Su Yi calmly instructed.

The shadowy silhouette faintly nodded, "As you will, we will follow." The shadowy silhouette faded abruptly.

Su Yi waited for several minutes, ensuring no other audience, and took out the spiritual jade yet again. "I will save you from that thief, my love. I will."
