Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 1007: Horseshoe Plains

Chapter 1007: Horseshoe Plains

Under the threat of two major dark forces and one that was trying its best to become a dark force, Lilligant was extremely cooperative, answering everything Julian asked.

However, there were many questions it couldn't answer.

The following was the dialogue between the dark force boss and an innocent civilian.

Julian asked: "What is this place?"

Lilligant answered: "Horseshoe Plains."

Julian asked: "How big is it?"

Lilligant answered: "Very, very big. I've never been able to leave it in my entire life."

Julian asked: "Are there any powerful Pokémon in Horseshoe Plains?"

Lilligant answered: "Rillaboom, affiliated with the Grandtree Arena, under Lord Kleavor's command."

Julian asked: "Who is Kleavor?"

Lilligant answered: "I don’t know, my great-grandmother told me this."

Julian asked: "And where is your great-grandmother?"

Lilligant answered: "Dead."

Julian asked: "Tell me everything you know."

Lilligant answered: "My best friend is Venusaur. I have over a dozen suitors and a boyfriend who likes—"

Julian: "You can go now."

Damn, this fellow knew far too little.

It had a lot to do with its strength—it was only at the Advanced-level. With that level of strength, a Pokémon usually only operated within a radius of a hundred kilometers, and the timid ones might not even venture beyond ten kilometers.

Hearing that the villain boss was letting it go, Lilligant felt a bit unbelieving. It wasn’t until Celebi and Jirachi actually released it that it believed Julian was telling the truth.

Watching Lilligant run away quickly—those long legs were put to full use—in just a few moments it disappeared into the distance.

"Horseshoe Plains, Rillaboom, Grandtree Arena, Kleavor"—Julian obtained these four pieces of information.

"So, the strongest Pokémon in this vast grassland is Rillaboom, and it’s under Kleavor’s command. That means Kleavor likely has other subordinates as well."

Julian analyzed: "Rillaboom, who rules over such a large grassland, must be very strong. Yet, it’s still a subordinate of Kleavor. That’s quite interesting."

"Ah, I forgot to ask where Rillaboom is located in the grassland," Julian suddenly lamented.

The grassland stretched as far as the eye could see, so finding that Rillaboom wouldn’t be easy.

"It shouldn’t have run far yet. I’ll go catch it."

Celebi was eager to give it a try. Being a bad Pokémon felt unexpectedly good—it turned out that living without morals could make life easier.

"No need. Catching it wouldn’t be worth it—better to find another one."

"That Lurantis over there looks promising."

Julian pointed to a Lurantis not far away, who was secretly watching them.

Soon, Celebi and Jirachi captured it in the same manner.

"A Pseudo-Elite, it should know a thing or two."

After asking a few more questions, Julian let it go.

The information Lurantis knew was indeed more extensive than what Lilligant had shared.

For example, the edges of Horseshoe Plains bordered the Grueling Grove, the Oreburrow Tunnel, and Lake Verity. All these places were under the jurisdiction of Kleavor’s Grandtree Arena, and there were many other areas as well, though Lurantis wasn’t aware of them.

[T/N: The areas are named the same as the map of Legends Arceus but are not located according to it.]

Julian also learned the location of Rillaboom. He had assumed it was at the center of Horseshoe Plains, but it wasn’t—it was actually in the western part, near Lake Verity.

This was because Rillaboom had a grudge against a Gyarados, the overlord of Lake Verity, and the two frequently clashed in that area.

"Metagross, let’s go! Let’s check out that Rillaboom."

Julian jumped onto Metagross’s back and pointed dramatically toward the west.

However, Metagross didn’t head in the direction Julian pointed—instead, it flew straight ahead.

Julian quickly shifted his finger to the left.

He muttered to himself: "So west was actually on my left."

Then he took out the Dowsing Machine, which immediately displayed ten red dots, all of them fairly large.

These were treasures just one tier below sub-Ultimate treasures.

"Damn, is this the level of wealth in a Primal Secret Realm?"

Julian’s expression turned slightly surprised.

Metagross had already flown for more than ten minutes. At its speed, they must have covered nearly a thousand kilometers. Throughout the journey, Julian kept his eyes on the Dowsing Machine, and the ten red dots remained constant.

Moreover, the size of the dots hardly changed, meaning that within a fifty-kilometer radius along their flight path, all the treasures were just one grade below the sub-Ultimate treasure level, and there were many of them.

The Dowsing Machine could only display up to ten treasures within a fifty-kilometer radius. If there were twenty treasures in the area, it would still only show ten—prioritized by their rarity.

"Metagross, I have a feeling we’re about to take off with this haul."

Julian was brimming with excitement.

If there were this many treasures along the way, then later on, things like sub-Ultimate treasures, Ultimate treasures would also definitely appear—and then there was that Grandtree Arena where that Kleavor resided.

Could there be a World-class Treasure there?

"But the strength of the Pokémon here is much higher than in a Top-tier secret realm."

Julian looked down at the flock of Dodrio running below. Their leader was at the Elite-level. Along the way, he had already spotted dozens of Elite-level Pokémon.

Some were lone wanderers, but most were the leaders of their own species.

He had encountered over a dozen Pokémon groups along the way, and every leader was at the Elite-level. The strongest was a Tauros at the peak of Elite.

And this was only an extremely tiny part of the entire Horseshoe Plains. If we were talking about the whole grassland, there should be at least a hundred Elite-level Pokémon here.

This number far exceeded that of a Top-tier secret realm.

So, if you wanted to explore this primal Secret Realm, an Elite-level trainer might not be enough. Although Elite Pokémon weren’t exactly everywhere here, their numbers were much higher compared to a Top-tier secret realm.

There were many treasures along the way, but Julian didn’t stop. He planned to check out Rillaboom first, though he would pause if he spotted any Ultimate treasures on the way.

"Julian, it looks like it’s going to rain over there. That’s a huge yellow cloud," Jirachi pointed ahead.

"Jirachi, you dummy, how can rain clouds be yellow?"

"Oh, right. Then Celebi, what do you think that is?" Jirachi asked.

Julian swallowed and said, "Looks like a swarm of Beedrill…"

As Metagross flew closer, it was confirmed—the yellow "cloud" ahead was indeed a swarm of Beedrill, numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

He still remembered his first time exploring a Secret Realm, when he and Metang were chased by a swarm of only a few dozen Beedrill, fleeing for their lives until they jumped into a pond to escape.

That was the most embarrassing experience Julian had ever had.

Of course, Julian’s strength now was incomparable to back then—but the swarm of Beedrill before him was also countless times larger than before.

'Hundreds of thousands of them… Isn’t this number a bit excessive, dammit…'
