Chapter 1006: Inside The Realm

Julian also understood his grandfather and father's concerns. The unknown often meant danger to some extent.

This was especially true for Secret Realms.

Top-tier secret realms always contained Champion-level Pokémon, and some even housed First-class Legendaries.

And a Primal Secret Realm was even rarer than a Top-tier one. According to the logic that "the rarer it is, the more dangerous it will be," the danger level of a Primal secret realm would definitely be above that of a Top-tier one.

If Julian didn't have Zekrom and Reshiram, didn't have the system, and only had Metagross and the other three Champion-level Pokémon, he might have hesitated to enter as well.

"Grandpa, Dad, I'm going in."

Julian waved to the two of them, then turned and walked into the Primal Secret Realm without looking back.

Just as they were worrying about Julian, within a few seconds, he actually walked right back out of the Primal Secret Realm gate.

"Good news—the entrance and exit of the Primal secret realm are fixed."

Upon hearing this, Jake instinctively asked, "Then what's the bad news?"

"Dad, there's only good news for now, no bad news."

With that, Julian stepped back into the secret realm gate, and this time, he didn't come back out.

Stepping on the soft soil, Julian looked at the emerald sea-like grassland before him. The wind carried the scent of grass, and behind him shimmered the glowing white secret realm portal.

"It doesn't seem much different from a Top-tier secret realm," Julian couldn't help but murmur, taking in the surroundings.

"Do any of you feel something special?"

He asked the Pokémon by his side.

Celebi, perched on his head, replied, "It just feels incredibly comfortable."

"Yeah, for me too," Jirachi chimed in.

"Meta~"

Metagross nodded in agreement.

"Incredibly comfortable? Don't you feel pretty comfortable in Top-tier secret realms too?"

Because the energy within Secret Realms was very suitable for Pokémon growth, even with the realm gates standing open, Pokémon inside rarely ventured out.

Unless they were extremely curious or if the Secret Realm itself was experiencing problems, the Pokémon inside usually chose to remain.

"It's different. Anyway, it's more comfortable here."

Celebi shook its head, then suddenly had an idea. "If a Top-tier secret realm is like a fried chicken leg—something I really like—then this realm is like a fried chicken leg plus cola. I like it even more."

"Oh, got it."

With that analogy, Julian finally understood.

In other words, it was not that the energy in the Primal Secret Realm was more abundant than in Top-tier secret realms, but rather, it contained something extra that Pokémon particularly liked.

"Julian, that Lilligant actually has long legs!" Celebi, perched on his head, pointed excitedly in a certain direction.

Julian looked over, thinking Celebi might have misunderstood what "long legs" meant—after all, normally Lilligant only showed two little feet, with its skirt covering the legs.

Suddenly, the Lilligant saw the stranger grin at it, then wave a hand, and the chubby Celebi above his head flew toward it.

Since Celebi was a spirit of nature, nearly all Pokémon were naturally friendly toward it, especially Grass-types like Lilligant.

Seeing Celebi fly up to it, Lilligant smiled warmly, about to greet it, when suddenly Celebi restrained it.

"Julian, I’ve caught it for you!"

Celebi placed the Lilligant in front of Julian as if showing off.

"Be gentle—it’s a girl," Julian reminded.

In fact, all Lilligant were female, and there was no corresponding male form. Even its pre-evolution, Petilil, was exclusively female.

However, Pokémon eggs took after the mother’s species, so even though all Lilligant were female, they could still breed with male Pokémon of other species, and the resulting offspring would be a Petilil.

Moreover, because the floral scent Lilligant emitted had a soothing effect and they were also adorable, they were very popular among celebrities and socialites.

They also had gentle personalities and were excellent at caring for others, making them one of the most suitable Pokémon for families to raise.

Lilligant watched as Julian approached step by step and closed its eyes in despair.

"…1.2 meters, ten centimeters taller than an average Lilligant," Julian said, looking at the measuring tape.

A normal Lilligant wore a long skirt that reached its ankles, but this one looked more like a ballet dancer, wearing a short, one-piece dress that made its long legs particularly noticeable.

At the same time, its typing was Grass/Fighting.

"Looks like another regional variant Pokémon."

Julian wasn’t particularly surprised. He had already encountered regional variant Pokémon before in the Alolan Secret Realm.

Since Julian brought the Alolan Secret Realm back and it contained unique regional variants, that Top-tier secret realm wasn’t represented by a simple number. Instead, it had its own name.

Just like other Special Advanced-level secret realms—such as the Dragon’s Den and the others.

And that one was named the Alolan Secret Realm, as for why was it called that? Well, because Julian named it.

Now he had encountered another regional variant Pokémon.

"Next, I’ll ask, and you answer. If you dare refuse…"

Celebi: "Heh heh."

Jirachi: "Tsk tsk."

The two little ones made extremely unsettling sounds, scaring Lilligant so much that it nearly fainted on the spot.

Even Nebby flew up to Lilligant’s face, making "woo woo" noises and trying its best to twist its adorable expression into something menacing.

Julian looked speechlessly at these two guys. Were they really trying to turn him into a villain?

But the effect seemed quite effective.

Lilligant’s face was pale, and it kept nodding its head, as if saying, "I’ll cooperate, please don’t get rough." It was so scared that the flower blooming on its head had now closed back into a bud.
