Chapter 1051: Chapter 1268: Organization Y

"Champion Walker."

Early that morning, Julian received a call from a number displaying only asterisks. With an expression that said "finally," he answered, and sure enough, a familiar female voice came through from the other end.

"I was starting to think you didn't want the item to awaken Xerneas anymore."

It had been over a year since his last call with the Master of Organization Y, and during all that time, the other party had not contacted Julian once.

Of course, both the Walker family's Steel Guards and the nation's intelligence agencies had been searching for Organization Y's hideout. But even with two such formidable intelligence forces at work, all they had managed to do was narrow it down to a general region.

And that region was East Africa, but East Africa consisted of over a hundred countries, most of which were rife with internal strife and chaos.

Under those circumstances, it was extremely difficult for intelligence agencies to infiltrate the area.

Moreover, Julian suspected that Organization Y's hideout was located within a secret realm in East Africa. And if that were really the case, the difficulty of finding them would be even greater.

"Champion Walker jests. Wasn't it you who asked me to locate Yveltal's slumbering place first?"

"All this time, our organization has been working on this matter for you."

Julian sneered at those words.

"Working for me?"

"You're doing it for your own ambition of immortality."

Changing the topic, Julian asked, "Contacting me out of the blue today—I take it you've already found the location of the Cocoon of Destruction?"

Back then, Yveltal had been severely wounded by Mewtwo, reverting back into the state of the Cocoon of Destruction before tearing through space and vanishing.

And in order to obtain the item Julian held that could awaken Xerneas, Organization Y was willing to trade Yveltal to him.

However, they only knew the approximate area where Yveltal slumbered.

Actually finding its exact location required considerable effort.

And so, after more than a year, they had finally located its exact resting place and immediately contacted Julian.

"Champion Walker, you have already attained immortality yourself, so naturally you can't understand just how great a temptation immortality holds for us mere mortals."

The voice over the phone sounded both maniacal and fervently devout.

Nothing was more fatal than self-created delusions.

When exactly had he obtained immortality? Why hadn't anyone told him about it?

Julian mussed to himself.

Then he said, "Tell me the location where Yveltal is, and I will hand over the item to awaken Xerneas to you."

He had already prepared the item over a year ago. And if they hadn't contacted him now, he would have almost forgotten about it entirely.

"At noon, three days from now. In front of the central statue in Tokai City, Nile Country, East Africa. We'll be waiting there for you, Champion Walker."

"Alright."

With that, Julian hung up the phone and then searched online for information about the Nile Country.

He soon found that the country's regime was constantly changing. Though it had been established for over a hundred years, the ruling power had changed more than a dozen times—basically once every ten years.

The nation itself was extremely chaotic. Every citizen carried weapons, and murders committed in broad daylight on the streets went completely unchecked.

Every morning, bodies would appear in the alleys and rivers.

Tokai City was the capital of the country, and its public security was somewhat better than that of other cities—at the very least, there was a semblance of order.

You didn't have to worry about gunfire or sudden Pokémon battles breaking out while walking down the street, with a few random bystanders dropping dead.

Julian took Organization Y very seriously. Before leaving, he recalled all his Pokémon into their Poké Balls.

Seeing this, Love knew that her cub was going to be gone for a while. If it were just a short departure, he definitely wouldn't have recalled all his Pokémon into their balls.

At noon on the third day, Julian had arrived at the central statue in Tokai City.

The statue wasn't of a human figure—it was a Typhlosion.

Legend had it that during a certain secret realm riot, countless Pokémon from within the realm surged out. And Tokai City was on the verge of being completely destroyed, but a Typhlosion suddenly appeared and protected the city.

But in the end, that Typhlosion died.

So after the riot ended, the citizens, out of gratitude for the Typhlosion, erected a statue of it.

Over the years, more than a dozen rulers had come and gone in the capital, yet none of them touched the statue. Instead, every one of them maintained it regularly.

As a result, even though the statue was seventy to eighty years old, it still looked as good as new.

Passing citizens would all give a slight nod of respect toward the statue.

Perhaps this statue had already become a belief, a spiritual anchor for the city.

Naturally, Typhlosion had also become the most beloved Pokémon here, and every successive ruler kept a Typhlosion, regardless of whether they were a Fire-type trainer or not.

Because it was a country in turmoil, the nation rarely saw outsiders. However, in the capital City, foreigners were slightly more common.

So Julian's appearance didn't attract too much attention.

However, several people selling local specialties had already surrounded him. To them, any foreigner willing to come here was definitely rich.

And Julian's clothes clearly didn't look cheap.

So they immediately began scrambling over one another to get him to buy the items in their hands.

Julian could tell that these people were treating him like a gullible sucker. A single piece of candy, and they were asking for three hundred Nile dollars—equivalent to ten Drakorian bucks.

"Scram."

Julian's face darkened, and his restrained aura erupted in an instant.

The people around him felt a sudden, viselike grip on their hearts, as if an invisible hand had seized them.

Their faces went pale, and they hastily stumbled backward. Only after putting some distance between themselves and Julian did the sensation fade away.

"Champion Walker truly has an imposing presence."

Just as those people scattered, another figure approached.

Julian glanced at the man and said flatly, "Lead the way."

This person wasn't the Master—clearly, he had been sent by her.

Seeing Julian treat him with such little regard, the man felt a surge of anger. But then he recalled that this was a guest invited by the Master. If he showed any disrespect and they found out, there was no telling what would be done to him.

"Champion Walker, this way."

With a gesture of invitation, he began walking forward.

Julian naturally followed right behind him.

High above, Deoxys's psychic senses had long since enveloped the entire city, and Julian was, of course, within its mental grasp.

The moment any danger appeared, it would immediately eliminate the source.

After all, he had come to a country filled with turmoil, and the opponent he was dealing with was the mysterious Organization Y.

Julian naturally had to remain cautious.

If he didn't make advance arrangements and ended up in a dangerous situation because of arrogance, it would be far from amusing.

Necessary caution was essential.

The man led Julian straight onto an off-road vehicle.

"Where's your Master?" Julian asked once inside the car.

"The Master is waiting for you at the destination," the man replied.

The one driving wasn't him but another person.

Both of them were middle-aged men, and their features were seven to eight parts similar. They were clearly blood brothers.

One of them, however, was missing an ear—the wound looked as if it had been sliced cleanly off by a sharp blade.
