Chapter 1080: Chapter 1297: Broken

As Dragonite gained a small portion of the Demon God's true power, its strength became utterly terrifying, carrying an aura of destruction in every move.

With a casual strike, it could easily kill a peak Champion-level Pokémon.

If its opponent had not been King-form Metagross, but any other peak Champion, they wouldn't have been able to withstand even a single move from Dragonite.

The overwhelming pressure even made the surrounding space incomparably solid.

The two were fighting at speeds impossible to follow with the naked eye. Only the sounds of constant collisions could be heard, while the shockwaves generated by their battle caused the entire Godless Barrier to tremble continuously.

Even Aggron, with its overwhelmingly powerful defense, seemed somewhat inadequate against such aftershocks. It repeatedly used Iron Defense, Harden, and other similar moves to strengthen its defenses.

Of course, this was also largely due to its current injured state.

The aftershocks of the battle rolled through the area like waves, one after another, while the energy of both sides filled the entire space.

Although the Demon God power possessed by the Dragonite could not corrode King-form Metagross, its enhancement to Dragonite's moves was still enormous.

In that regard, it was the same as the King Form—move power increased by 100%.

Meteor Mash and Mega Punch collided violently.

With a thunderous boom, an earth-shattering explosion rang out, and a tiny point of white light, like a candle flame in the dark of night, ignited at the exact center where their fists met.

As the light grew larger and larger, it engulfed both Pokémon in the blink of an eye.

Then the light rapidly contracted, revealing the two Pokémon once more.

"Not good!"

Julian's expression changed drastically at this sight.

Aggron let out a furious roar, wrapped Julian within its arms, and then summoned layers upon layers of falling rocks to shield them.

The black protective barrier surrounding the Master also became several shades darker at that moment.

As if confirming something, the instant both sides finished these actions, a world-shattering roar that drained all color from the surroundings rang out, as if the sky itself was collapsing.

BOOOOMM!!!

The white light compressed into a single point and, like atomic fission, unleashed astonishing power.

A mushroom cloud rose into the sky.

Accompanied by a terrifying shockwave, Dragonite and Metagross were the first to be blasted away, sent flying who knew how far into the distance.

And under the impact of this shockwave, the Godless Barrier, which had already been running low on energy, began to crack all over—it was clearly about to give way.

Crack—!

The Godless Barrier finally shattered, and the battle's aftershocks that had been confined within it burst forth like a wild horse breaking free from its reins, surging in all directions.

Countless mountains, forests, and rivers were destroyed in the wake of this residual force, and of course, the number of Pokémon that perished within it was even more staggering.

And the aftershocks didn't stop there—they swept menacingly toward several of the Nile Nation's closest cities.

If John and Jake hadn't been taken away by Deoxys, they would certainly have been injured in the aftershocks.

On Julian's side, the aftershocks had already passed.

The fallen rocks around Aggron had long since been destroyed by the shockwave, and even a large chunk of the armor on its back had shattered.

Just great—its injuries hadn't fully healed to begin with, and now it was even worse off.

However—

Looking at the vanished Godless Barrier, Julian let out a cold smile.

Pop, pop, pop—

Three Poké Balls at his waist opened on their own.

Reshiram, Zekrom and Jirachi appeared beside Julian.

"Julian, are you okay? I'll heal you right now, and then I'll help you take down that damned woman."

Jirachi flew to Julian's side.

Although it had been unable to come out while inside the Godless Barrier, it had witnessed everything happening outside.

Naturally, it knew just how dangerous Julian's situation had been.

And if Aggron and Arcanine hadn't possessed life-saving treasures, they would already be dead.

Even Julian himself had suffered severe injuries.

While healing Julian, Jirachi glared at the woman not far away, its expression filled with fury.

The Twin Dragons stood flanking Julian, one on each side, their eyes also brimming with rage as they looked at that woman. Without even waiting for Julian's command, they had already charged toward her.

When the people of Drakoria saw that the Godless Barrier had been broken and the Twin Dragons had emerged, they were instantly overjoyed.

---

> "Hahaha! That woman is dead for sure now!"

> "What could she possibly use to stop Champion Walker now?"

> "Reshiram, Zekrom, kill that woman and avenge Champion Walker and the injured Pokémon!"

> "I can understand the Twin Dragons coming out since they're First-class Legendaries, but why did Jirachi only appear after the Godless Barrier broke too?"

> "I suddenly thought of a possibility..."

> "I thought of it too, but that can't be right, can it? That guy's just a foodie, no?"

---

When the Godless Barrier broke, the people of Drakoria were naturally overjoyed.

However, some of the sharper minds wore rather peculiar expressions when they saw Jirachi appear together with the Twin Dragons.

An unbelievable yet strangely plausible speculation began to take shape in their minds.

Facing the Twin Dragons charging toward her, the Master's expression remained largely emotionless.

Zekrom unleashed Fusion Bolt, while Reshiram unleashed Fusion Flare.

Flame and lightning surged toward the Master, locking directly onto her.

The pressure of two late-stage First-class Legendaries made the very space around the Master seem almost frozen.

Yet just as Fusion Bolt and Fusion Flare came within a hundred meters of her, a golden ring appeared in front of the two attacks.

The moment the attacks entered the golden ring, they vanished.

Such a bizarre sight unsettled the Twin Dragons.

And the next second, from within the golden ring, Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt reappeared—but their direction had changed.

They were no longer aimed at the Master, but now shot toward the Twin Dragons instead.

And at an even faster speed than before.

Caught completely off guard, the Twin Dragons were actually struck by their own respective moves, each sent reeling back several hundred meters.

"Julian, your luck is truly good. Even this wasn't enough to kill you."

The Master glanced at the Twin Dragons in the sky before continuing, "But you won't be so fortunate next time."

"The Great Demon God will ultimately rule this world. Julian, you cannot stop it."

Having said that, a golden ring of light appeared behind her. The Master turned and began walking toward the ring.

The Twin Dragons wanted to pursue, but Julian stopped them.

"This 'Great Demon God' of yours... it's the Djinn Pokémon, Hoopa, isn't it?" Julian said.

His words caused the Master to stop in her tracks. She turned her head to look at Julian, a trace of surprise in her voice as she said, "I never expected you to actually know the Great Demon God's name."

"That's right, the Great Demon God is Lord Hoopa. Their power is absolutely beyond anything you can imagine."

The Master's expression once again became utterly devout.

When the other party had spoken of the "Demon God," a guess had already formed in Julian's mind.

And upon seeing that the golden ring possessed the ability to redirect attacks, Julian was certain which First-class Legendary this "Demon God" truly was.

[T/N: In fact, Hoopa Unbound is somewhat based on the demon spirits like, Ifrit and other deities of some cultures.]
