Chapter 902: Chapter 1119: Deoxys
Chapter 902: Chapter 1119: Deoxys
"Brother, there's a big fireball up there!"
Jade looked up at the massive flaming sphere above them, her face full of excitement.
> "Little princess, that's not a big fireball—it's a meteorite."
> "First time in my life seeing a meteorite this close."
> "If Champion Walker just smashes it directly, won't the fragments scatter everywhere?"
> "Relax. If you thought of that, how could Champion Walker not think of it?"
Julian took a Poké Ball from his waist, and as it opened, the imposing Zekrom appeared before him.
"Stop that thing."
He pointed at the massive fireball overhead. In just that short moment, the meteorite had drawn even closer, and he could already feel the immense pressure from its descent.
Zekrom looked up at the meteorite. Its turbine-like tail erupted with brilliant blue flames, and with a sharp whoosh, it vanished from its spot.
When it reappeared, it was already right in front of the meteorite.
Extending both arms forward, the first thing it touched was the blazing layer formed by atmospheric friction.
The moment contact was made, a tremendous impact force slammed into Zekrom, and its body was forced downward slightly.
But as the blue flames at the end of its tail surged explosively, the meteorite's falling speed began to steadily decrease, and the fiery outer layer quickly dissipated as well.
In less than half a minute, Zekrom had brought the meteorite to a complete halt.
> "That's it? Where's the doomsday crisis we were promised?"
> "I knew Champion Walker could stop it, but wasn't this a bit too easy?"
> "Meteorite: Please, at least let me save some face."
> "Even though we're safe, I feel like something's missing…"
Seeing Julian resolve the crisis so effortlessly, Drakoria's viewers were thrilled—but also slightly disappointed.
That was way too fast, wasn't it?
"Zekrom is so amazing! Brother, did you see? Zekrom stopped the big fireball so easily!"
Jade clapped her little hands excitedly.
"Of course. Reshiram is amazing too," she added, making sure to praise Reshiram as well.
At just three years old, she already knew how to keep things fair.
But was it really over?
Of course not.
It couldn't possibly be that simple.
Julian stared at the meteorite now suspended in Zekrom's grasp. Since the original meteorite had been split into two halves, the fractured surface now exposed part of its inner structure.
It was clearly visible—inside the meteorite lay a Pokémon.
And it was unmistakably Deoxys.
The so-called meteorite was nothing more than a rocky shell encasing it.
Perhaps Deoxys had drifted through space in a deep slumber for too long, allowing layers of cosmic dust to accumulate around its body until it eventually formed a meteorite. When it passed by the planet, the planet's gravity pulled it in, causing it to fall.
"Brother, there's another Deoxys inside!"
Jade pointed at the Pokémon embedded within the meteorite.
She had already learned its name earlier from Julian.
"Mm." Julian nodded.
His gaze lingered on the slumbering Deoxys—something was off.
Even after Rayquaza had split the meteorite in two, it hadn't woken up. And now, with Zekrom this close, it still showed no signs of responding to the danger.
Julian activated his Probing Eyes.

Reading the information provided by the Probing Eyes, Julian's expression shifted to understanding.
No wonder it hadn't woken up despite being struck like that.
Just as he suspected—it was seriously injured.
And this was a critical injury, one that would be fatal if left untreated.
Its level had already dropped from the peak of Champion tier to early-stage Champion. If the damage continued, it might even fall to the Pseudo-Champion rank.
To be injured this badly… who on earth had it fought?
"Roar—!"
Just as Julian was deep in thought, both Zekrom and Reshiram suddenly let out low, alert growls.
Following their roars, another Deoxys appeared.
"It actually escaped from Rayquaza. Not bad."
Julian looked at the Deoxys that had just appeared.
Half of its body had previously been blasted away by Rayquaza's Hyper Beam. And it was still in the process of regenerating—visible strands of tissue constantly writhing and reforming.
The crystal on its chest was emitting a strange, pulsing glow.
The chest crystal was the source of a Deoxys's energy and life. As long as that crystal remained intact, even if its physical body was destroyed, it could regenerate using the energy stored within.
But if the crystal itself was damaged—especially severely—it would end up like the unconscious Deoxys inside the meteorite: comatose, slowly awaiting death.
"Or maybe Rayquaza just didn't feel like chasing it," Julian muttered.
Rayquaza only cared about its own territory. As long as you left the ozone layer, it wouldn't bother with you.
> "Deoxys's vitality is insane—half its body was gone and it's already regenerating."
> "It probably fought Rayquaza to protect its companion."
> "Uh-oh… it looks like it's targeting Champion Walker now."
> "Why are you panicking? With the Black and White Dragons here, it's the one who should be panicking."
> "Its body really looks like an alien."
> "Champion Walker already said it's from outer space. Back in the old days, that basically means alien."
The moment Deoxys appeared, it was immediately locked onto by Zekrom and Reshiram.
Its strength was already inferior to theirs, and having just fought Rayquaza, leaving it severely wounded, it stood even less of a chance now.
So it didn't immediately attempt to rescue its companion from Zekrom.
After all, it didn't have that kind of power.
"Brother… this Pokémon is really worried about its partner."
Jade spoke softly, her voice carrying a hint of sadness.
Blessed by Mew, Jade could sense the feelings of Pokémon. Normally, she wouldn't be able to perceive the emotions of a First-class Legendary like Deoxys.
But right now, it was badly injured, far from its usual state, and its companion was in Julian's hands.
The overwhelming anxiety and desperation in its heart were impossible for her not to feel.
