Chapter 901: Chapter 1118: Live Streaming

An event as massive as a meteor falling was impossible to conceal.

Satellites from various countries had already captured the footage. And when they confirmed that the split meteors weren't heading toward their own country—and that their countries were far enough from Drakoria and Celestria, safe from any impact—

They simply released the video to the public.

After all, watching the drama unfold cost them nothing. And they weren't the only ones doing it. Many other nations followed suit.

As a result, the citizens of the two countries directly involved—Drakoria and Celestria—quickly learned that a meteor was about to fall over their heads.

Especially the residents of the projected impact cities: Lake City in Drakoria and Lumber City in Celestria.

The sense of despair in those cities was overwhelming.

Their countries were so vast—so why did the meteor have to fall on them?

In Celestria, when faced with situations like this, people's first reaction wasn't to flee.

It was "zero-dollar shopping."

Lumber City descended into chaos almost immediately. Large numbers of citizens flooded into malls, stores, and supermarkets, smashing and looting as they went.

Driven by the mindset of "getting back at the capitalists," they grabbed whatever they could.

The employees of the looted stores didn't resist. After all, it wasn't their property. And besides, most stores had insurance. The losses would be reimbursed afterward.

Given how frequently "zero-dollar shopping" occurred in Celestria, nearly every business carried insurance.

In contrast to that frenzy, the situation in Lake City was far more controlled.

Though fear was certainly present, Drakoria's authorities handled the public reassurance swiftly and effectively.

They directly informed the people of Lake City that Champion Walker had already set out with the Twin Dragons to intercept the meteor.

---

> "Lake City has Champion Julian, what are you all worried about?"

> "I'm a student at Lake University. Professor Tina, Champion Walker's mother, is still here giving us a lecture. She said that with her son around, the meteor won't fall."

> "Champion Walker truly gives me a huge sense of security."

> "Does anyone know the name of that orange-red Pokémon? It actually managed to trade blows with Rayquaza—looks incredibly strong."

> "And it can switch between multiple forms; it showed three different ones in just that one-minute video."

> "It was only able to tangle with Rayquaza for a few rounds because of those form changes."

> "Go check out Tremor; Champion Walker has started a livestream!"

> "Really?!"

---

And so, countless viewers across Drakoria opened the app, and the first thing that popped up was Julian's livestream.

He really had started a livestream.

At this moment, Julian was riding on the back of Reshiram, holding his phone in one hand. Watching the flood of viewers pouring into the stream, the live viewer count had already surpassed five hundred million.

"Been a while since I went live. Since there just happens to be a meteor falling today, I figured I'd start a stream. I'll put on a little show for you all—today I'm smashing a meteor."

Julian said it with a cheerful grin.

Jade, nestled in his arms, looked at the livestream screen and asked curiously, "Big brother, are there really this many people watching us right now?"

"Mm-hmm."

In just the few seconds he had been talking, the viewer count was already approaching the one billion mark, meaning that at least half of Drakoria's population was watching his stream.

"Big bro's amazing! There are so many people watching you," Jade said, looking at Julian with pure admiration.

In her eyes, Julian was the most reliable person in the world. Even her dad and grandpa couldn't compare to her brother.

"Hahaha, Jade will be just as amazing as Brother in the future!"

Julian laughed heartily.

The livestream viewers were stunned to see that Julian had also brought little Jade along.

---

> "He even brought the little princess up there—nothing's going to happen, right?"

> "I'm so jealous of the little Jade. She gets to sit in Champion Walker's arms."

> "Reshiram looks really majestic!"

> "When I was three, I was still playing in the mud. And little Jade at three is riding a First-class Legendary and watching Champion Walker shoot down a meteor."

> "Then you better work harder. My three-year-old has already stopped playing with mud. He plays with Caterpie now."

> "Champion Walker, do you know what that unknown orange Pokémon is?"

Although Julian was talking to Jade, he occasionally glanced at the scrolling comments. He was too lazy to answer most questions, but upon seeing that one, he spoke up.

"Deoxys. A Pokémon from outer space. Legend has it that it was born when the DNA of a space virus attached to a meteor mutated upon exposure to laser beams."

"It has four forms: Normal Forme, Defense Forme, Attack Forme, and Speed Forme. You all saw it change forms in the video."

'So it's called Deoxys.'

Scholars from various countries showed expressions of sudden realization upon hearing Julian's explanation.

> "Champion Walker, this is a newly discovered Pokémon. How do you know its name—and so many details about it?"

Right.

How did he know?

He couldn't have just made that up… could he?

"Because I saw it on a proto-ancient stone tablet. And don't ask me how I can read proto-ancient text—I just can."

Julian casually made up an excuse. Though what he said afterward was true—he really could read proto-ancient script.

---

Meanwhile, at the Walker Group headquarters, Henry was still processing documents when he suddenly saw his secretary rushing toward him.

"Chairman, Champion Walker has taken the little princess up in the sky!"

The secretary's words left Henry momentarily confused.

Having been working continuously, he was still unaware of the meteor situation.

The secretary quickly explained the situation and opened Julian's livestream on the phone for him.

Henry saw his precious daughter happily nestled in Julian's arms, her big eyes filled with curiosity as she stared at the phone screen. Judging from the background, they were clearly high up in the sky.

"It's fine. No need to worry."

Henry shook his head and handed the phone back.

With Julian by Jade's side, absolutely nothing could happen to her.

Just as he finished speaking, his own phone rang. It was his wife, Alice.

"Hello."

"Yes, I know about it. Don't worry. With Julian there, Jade will be fine."

"She must have insisted on going. Otherwise Julian wouldn't have taken her up there."

"When you get back, give Jade a proper talking-to."

"What do you mean I should discipline her? Of course I can't. I'm Jade's favorite. I can't let her dislike me."

"Anyway, I'm not going to be the one disciplining her. You handle it if you want. Given Jade's personality—and Julian spoiling her like that—she's bound to stir up trouble sooner or later."

"Mm-hmm, got it. I'll be home for dinner tonight."

With that, he hung up.

"Women are so troublesome. We already agreed—I'd play the good cop and she'd play the bad cop. If Jade misbehaved, she'd step in as the villain, and I'd come in later to save the day as the hero."

"And now she's backing out?"

"Mark, tell me, are women just liars?"

The secretary, Mark, listened to the chairman's complaints and could only force a few dry chuckles.

Was this really something a mere secretary could comment on?

If he carelessly agreed, he might very well find himself unemployed the next day.
