Chapter 945: New Top-Tier Secret Realm
Chapter 945: New Top-Tier Secret Realm
The status of the Lowell family in the world of Pokémon scholars was akin to that of the Walker family in the trainer community—they were the leading figures. Moreover, many renowned scholars in the country had significant ties with the Lowell family.
Therefore, when Ella—while investigating this matter—found that it ultimately implicated the Lowell family, she immediately informed Julian.
Don’t assume that just because the Lowell family was a scholarly clan, they lacked formidable combat power.
On the contrary, the Lowell family’s strength surpassed that of many trainer families.
After all, having studied Pokémon for generations, their research and training of Pokémon were far more proficient.
"Since the Commander needed ancient stone tablets, the Lowell family has voluntarily provided all the tablets in their possession for free."
"Leave this matter to great-uncle. He will make sure the Lowell family gives me an explanation," Julian said.
The Lowell family was not like the Dawson family of Victoria, whose entire direct lineage was eradicated by Julian. The Dawson family had committed acts of treason, and many within the family were involved.
As for the Lowell family, the investigation into this matter was not yet fully clear—whether it was the idea of a very few individuals within the Lowell family or the entire upper echelon of the family.
If it was the former, then only that small group needed to be dealt with.
But if it was the latter, then the fate of the Lowell family would be the same as that of the Dawson family.
In any case, James was sure to provide a satisfactory resolution, so Julian was not worried at all.
After hanging up the phone, he had Metagross use Teleport to take him home.
Since it was the weekend, his mother was not teaching at Lake University and was instead sitting on the sofa watching TV.
Meanwhile, Jake had gone to Babath to replace Duke, who was stationed there.
Babath’s military was now under the control of the state, and the entire country had essentially fallen into the hands of Drakoria. Most of the higher-ups in Babath had come to terms with this reality and dared not resist.
However, every country had its patriots, and Babath was no exception.
These patriots naturally wished to drive the Drakorian military out of Babath. Their resolve was admirable, but unfortunately their strength was insufficient.
Babath originally had two Champions. One of them, Watano, turned out to be the deputy leader of the Y Organization and was currently missing.
The other Champion was disabled by Duke.
Thus, Babath now had no Champion-level trainers.
After accomplishing this, Duke returned to the country, leaving Jake, the newly promoted Champion, to take his place and oversee Babath.
Every Champion in Drakoria held a significant position.
For instance, Duke served as the President of the Drakorian Trainers Association.
Julian held the position of Commander of the Elites, commanding all the Elites and Pseudo-Champions within the Elite ranking.
As for Jake, his appointment was to garrison Babath, which essentially meant commanding all of Drakoria's armed forces within Babath.
Jake couldn't refuse this assignment. After all, he had just become a Champion—it wasn't as if he could simply ignore his duties and go fishing.
Fortunately, he could still fish in Babath. Moreover, with no Tina or Love to oversee him abroad, his fishing time actually increased.
As for handling official affairs, well, the Walker family was known for delegation. Aside from James, who handled matters personally, John and Julian were both hands-off managers. Naturally, Jake was no exception.
He directly assigned the task of garrisoning Babath to Pierce.
After all, Babath no longer had any Champion-level trainers. Even if a few families possessed Champion-level Pokémon, they wouldn't dare take action.
They weren't stupid—the chance of success was zero.
Even if they defeated Jake, so what? He still had a son who commanded both Reshiram and Zekrom.
The stationing of Drakoria's military in Babath had sparked strong opposition from some factions within Babath.
What, after Celestria stationed troops, now Drakoria was doing the same. was Babath just a piece of cake that everyone could take a bite of?
However, in reality, more of Babath's general populace actually welcomed the presence of Drakorian military.
After the Yveltal incident, the entire world had come to deeply recognize the power of a First-class Legendary. Currently, Drakoria possessed the largest number of First-class Legendaries and was the safest and most powerful nation.
Though Babath had lost much of its autonomy with Drakoria's military presence, it had gained security.
For ordinary citizens, whether their administrators were from Babath, Celestria, or Drakoria, it had little impact on their daily lives.
As long as they didn't disrupt their lives and even improved their living conditions, who they were ultimately didn't matter.
This wasn't ancient times, where cities were massacred and people oppressed.
If Drakoria was to act in such a manner, the people of Babath would undoubtedly rise up in resistance.
However, given Babath's current circumstances, they lacked the strength to resist. After that defense battle, Babath had lost one-third of its population.
As for the destroyed buildings, they were relatively secondary in comparison.
And under Drakoria's construction efforts, the damaged buildings in Babath were being restored at a remarkably rapid pace.
Simultaneously, a large number of Drakorian trainers had flooded into Babath to explore its Secret Realms and Ancient Ruins.
Moreover, a new Top-tier Secret Realm had recently emerged in Babath—perhaps a blessing after the disaster.
Unfortunately, this new Top-tier Secret Realm had nothing to do with Babath anymore.
Pierce immediately mobilized the military to secure the new Top-tier Secret Realm and promptly notified Jake and Drakoria's higher-ups.
A new Top-tier Secret Realm held unimaginable resources within.
Pierce himself had explored a new Top-tier Secret Realm before. Of course, it was also extremely dangerous. If it hadn't been for Julian back then, he might not have made it out.
At home, Julian had just finished lunch when his grandfather called.
"My dear grandson, a new Top-tier Secret Realm has appeared in Babath. And based on the energy readings, the Steel-type energy inside is particularly dense. It’s highly likely to be a Steel-type-focused Top-tier Secret Realm."
Secret Realms were mostly multi-type, with a small number focusing on a specific Typing. However, a Type-focused Top-tier Secret Realm had never appeared before.
Currently, Type-focused Secret Realms existed only as Special Advanced-level Secret Realms.
This newly emerged Top-tier Secret Realm in Babath was most likely a Steel-type-focused realm, which presented a fantastic opportunity for Julian to enhance his strength.
A brand-new Top-tier Secret Realm, perfectly aligned with his Type—if he didn’t go, it would practically be a crime.
"I'll go. But am I going alone, or are we forming a team?" Julian asked.
"What do you want?"
"I’d prefer to go alone," Julian replied.
He carried secrets. Going alone would allow him to freely use his Dowsing Machine. If he was in a team, he’d have to act separately later on.
And he would also have to babysit the rest of them.
"Then you go in alone first," John said matter-of-factly.
In truth, the Elder Council had hoped for Julian to lead a team, given his formidable strength—if he led a team, the odds of them surviving were essentially one hundred percent.
Unfortunately, Julian wanted to act alone.
The Elder Council couldn’t really refuse and agreed to let Julian enter the Secret Realm alone.
