Chapter 1165: Long Overdue Battle (1)

[Planet Fedora - Battleground]

The war that had been brewing for many years had finally reached its breaking point.

Years back, Fedora was a peaceful beast world where the various races of beasts lived in harmony.

Life was good.

In fact, there was nothing like war in the world.

Every race had its king or queen who saw to it that all their affairs were in order. They worked around the clock to provide for their people.

However, that peaceful and harmonious life came crashing down when the Orc King decided to become the Supreme Ruler of the entire planet.

The peace that guided their race for all these years came crashing down within weeks. Most of the races lost the fight, and so they were swallowed by the Orcs.

However, the Foxkin stood up and said no.

They weren’t as weak as the Orc King thought, and so, for a while, they held out while trying their best to pull the other races into an alliance.

Thankfully, just when everything was at the point of no return, Dori appeared and helped them pull through.

Years later, after Kent reunited with Dori, he also came through for them on multiple occasions. However, they knew one day they would have to fight for their freedom.

They had been preparing for that day for a while now.

Today, the battle they had been waiting for had finally arrived.

The Orc King brought with him the Orc army, Hellhounds, Lionkin, Batkin, and Rabbitkin. They numbered in the hundreds of thousands.

Naturally, for a small world like Fedora, that was a lot of warriors.

The Rebel Alliance, which comprised the Foxkin, Tigerkin, and Catkin, also stood on one side. They were led by King Hkum, who had reached Level 5 Spirit King.

The leader of the Catkin was a Level 3 Spirit King, and the leader of the Tigerkin was a Level 2 Spirit King. Aside from them, only Queen Amorian, who was the wife of the Fox King, and three others had also reached the Spirit King stage.

The rest are Spirit Sovereigns and below.

Meanwhile, the enemy had several Heavenly Ascension stage warriors, with even the Tyrant King miraculously reaching Level 8 Heavenly Ascension stage.

When Kent poisoned him, he was sure he would be comatose for a while. Now, it turned out that whoever was backing him was much more resourceful than he had expected.

The number of Spirit Kings in his army numbered over a hundred. That was more than the Rebel Alliance could handle.

It was also the main reason why King Hkum called for help from Kent’s legion. Kent is their guardian, so when danger came, they called for his help.

King Balma flew into the air and stopped when he was 200 meters away from the Rebel army. King Hkum also flew forward and made sure there were 50 meters between them.

That is a safe distance to ensure he wasn’t caught off guard.

"So you have finally shown your true colours, huh, Balma?" King Hkum said with a disdainful expression. They were friends before King Balma decided to become a Tyrant.

"No need to wear that expression. Just look around you, Hkum, this is all the more reason to surrender. You’ve already lost, and you know that," King Balma smiled and cast a glance at the pitiful number of warriors behind King Hkum.

"I wouldn’t be too sure about that, Balma. Unlike you, who relied on pills to reach where you are, we actually followed a good method, ensuring our foundation is solid.

So, despite you having the largest number of warriors, when it comes to true strength, you will see in a bit." King Hkum raised his voice so his enemy could hear him clearly...

"I just hope all of you are prepared to die."

King Balma smirked, and his army burst out in a round of laughter. This was their response to the warning King Hkum gave them.

They are prepared to slaughter their enemies without any remorse.

"In that case, there will be no surrender. So either your side is completely wiped out, or my side is. In any case, after today, the peace we once had will be restored."

After saying that, King Hkum turned and left, causing King Balma to frown.

For some reason, he sensed no fear from King Hkum, unlike before, when he always shivered under his aura. Now, he seemed more confident, and from his tone, there is even a touch of ruthlessness.

That made him frown.

But then, remembering who was backing him, he smirked and also moved back.

"You already heard what he said. There will be no surrender, so go all out and make sure not even one is left breathing." The moment King Balma gave the order, his thousands of warriors dashed forward, running toward the rebel army.

The Foxkin, Catkin, and Tigerkin warriors of the rebel army shuddered, seeing the sea of beasts coming at them.

To be honest, most of them only dressed up for this war simply because their kings told them they would be receiving reinforcements from a reliable helper.

Now, looking at Kaizo and the legion being referred to as the reinforcement, all these people started considering the idea of running away.

In their heads, live today and die tomorrow.

However, those who had some backbone couldn’t help but wonder why Kaizo and the others seemed happy watching thousands of enemies running at them.

It didn’t take long for them to know why.

Kaizo walked to the front of the line, lightning dancing across his skin.

"Remember, although we got our asses handed to us by those immortals, which I will be frank, had stained our flawless records, our battle spirit still burns bright, so let’s use these lost souls to cleanse our bodies before going out there again."

The legion nodded.

They would most certainly love to commit a slaughter to wipe away the humiliation of their recent defeat.

"Very well then. Let the slaughter begin."

"Hahahahaha!" Lani’s laughter spread as she vanished into a shadow. The next second, she appeared at the center of the enemy’s charge.

Five heads fell the next second.

"Here I come."

Kaizo also descended into battle, obliterating hundreds of enemies at once.

Kaizo had already reached the Spirit King stage, but his battle power, even without his bloodline, was comparable to a Spirit Lord. So these losers had no idea what danger they had walked into.

Veera unleashed only ten undead Angels, who were Spirit Lords. They were the weakest so far in her undead legion. As for Shade King Nykali, he was able to lower his standards to only fifteen Spirit Lord Wraiths.

They couldn’t release more than that, or else they would deprive their teammates of the chance to kill some enemies.

If they go all out, the battle will end within minutes.

In no time, the enemy was stopped from getting even near the rebel army.

Unity, Alina, Velyra, Ingrid, and Val were the only ones standing on the side since they hadn’t fully recovered yet. The rest joined in, with even a few of the Eternal Wraith Legion, who were also hurt, joining the battle.

Vexthra looked at King Hkum and smiled. "You can join the battle now. My people will make sure no harm comes to your people, so kill to your heart’s content. You deserve that much."

Although still in great shock, King Hkum nodded and commanded his men to join. "Kill them all."

They charged and soon were in the mix.

King Balma, who was looking for a quick and decisive massacre, was left staring at the massacre happening before his eyes.

He expected things to go in his favour, but now, he is on the losing side, and he knew there was no turning back now.

When he recovered from his shock, he retrieved an item and crushed it, opening a portal. From within, figures dressed in dark robes walked out.

There were thirty-four of them, each a Heavenly Ascension stage warrior.

One of them turned to King Balma, about to ask him a question, when a pair of identical twins materialized from thin air.

"Oh my, what do we have here?" Olive said, giving a beautiful yet chilling smile to the thirty-four people who immediately broke into a sweat.
