Chapter 1166: Long Overdue Battle (2)
Obviously, what could have been a smile that warms the heart had become somewhat nightmarish for the 34 people sent from a Supreme High World to come aid the puppet king Balma.
Olive and her twin sister Ivy are Empyreans, so just their smile, which contains their killing intent, is enough to weaken their resolve.
But even if it wasn’t their smile that was contagious, the fact that these two came from the 14th level of hell said all there is to say.
They are dangerous, and the 34 could see.
They tried to run back into the portal, saving their skin in the process. That was the only logical thing they could do, after all.
But to their shock, a middle-aged man eating grapes stood before the portal with a relaxed expression. None of them realized when he appeared, but there he stood, a smile playing on his lips as he bit into a grape.
Naturally, seeing the smile on Uncle Drew’s face is like staring in the face of death. If Olive and Ivy were a danger, then this man created danger.
"Oh, looks like running is not an option, losers," Ivy said, spinning her dagger between her fingers as she and her sister walked slowly toward the 34 warriors.
King Balma broke into a cold sweat in an instant.
He had been promised reinforcement, and he received it. However, this—this was not something he expected.
His sponsor is someone who has a great interest in this world.
They didn’t say what they wanted, but they planned on making him a king and giving him strength just so they could get access to what they wanted.
They came through on all their promises.
They helped him reach the Heavenly Ascension stage. They helped a few trusted subordinates, too. And now, they had sent the trump cards they promised him.
However, it was all for nothing.
The people he saw as weak turned out to be monsters in sheep’s clothing. They are dangerous, and he can see it now.
Once Ivy and Olive had toyed with their prey enough, they decided to start their torture. The two completely suppressed the 34 warriors, so all that was left was for them to torture and hope they died painfully.
In the distance, too, Kaizo was leading the slaughter.
He was more than willing to fight again, since their last one was nearly a disaster, had Uncle Drew not come to their aid when he did.
Standing far on a mountain, Kent looked at all this and couldn’t help but smile. "Just a year ago, we couldn’t help dreading the day King Balma would attack.
But now, the tables have turned, and he is the one dreading us."
Kent grinned.
He looked at Kaizo and the legion doing what they do best. He also turned to Uncle Drew and, seeing the latter chew on grapes while battle raged on around him, he couldn’t help but smile at all this.
"Looks like he has become much more powerful than he promised he would be the last time we parted. Just what happened to him in his time in the Underworld?"
Kent knew Uncle Drew merely went to the Underworld to get banished souls and used them to create what he called Night Agents.
He had tried it once and it worked, so he went for more. Thankfully, it seems he had succeeded on that front, too. Looking at Olive and Ivy told him all he had to know.
However, he can tell Uncle Drew had become very powerful...too powerful for even him to measure. This got his blood boiling.
He teleported and appeared a meter from Uncle Drew.
"Look who is back," Kent said, smiling at his carriage driver and captain of his Night Riders.
"It is good to be back, young master. I miss you and everyone."
"We miss you, too, Uncle Drew."
King Balma, who saw a familiar face, frowned. He wouldn’t forget Kent since he was the one who poisoned him about three years ago.
Had it not been for Kent, he would have long succeeded in suppressing the rebel alliance and finally becoming the Overlord of Fedora, like he had wanted.
Kent spoiled that plan when he poisoned him, and now, looking at how respectful Uncle Drew is to him, he could tell the reason his warriors were dying in masses was because of him.
This made him sweat even more.
Although nobody was attacking him, he also could not bring himself to attack anyone, thinking that the moment he did, the terrifying man standing before the portal would also attack him.
"Please, order your men to stop. We surrender." Seeing no option left, he knew he could only surrender and hope he would get to save his skin.
However, as if no one had heard him, Uncle Drew and Kent merely focused on their reunion.
"You will have to tell me all there is to know about your journey to the Underworld. However, let’s do that later because right now, we must focus on this portal."
Kent smiled, and Uncle Drew did too.
Since the portal was still open, it meant it was a two-way portal. Since it brought the 34 Heavenly Ascension stage warrior, it could also send them back.
"Let’s see what is on the other side." Uncle Drew nodded, and they walked toward it.
King Balman panicked and was about to speak when a burly man bathed in lightning punched hard in his direction.
"Here I come"
He was forced to defend himself against the punch that could shatter mountains..
But then, when he finished defending against Kaizo’s punch, Kent and Uncle Drew had already entered the portal.
Seeing this, he sighed a little...
"Eyes on me, mister." Kaizo arrived again, and this time, their fists met, creating a thunderclap. They both were pushed back, but a wicked smile appeared on Kaizo’s face.
"This is going to be awesome."
King Balman would dread the day he met the unyielding Kaizo, who seemed to cherish the chaos of battle.
On the other side, Kent and Uncle Drew appeared in a world Kent instantly hated.
It wasn’t because it was a human world, and that he was disgusted by how they were supporting a tyrant to slaughter the innocent.
The hate came from the message he saw, thanks to his Heavenly Jade Eyes.
⟦You have arrived on Planet Hamkin, world of the Earth and Ice Humans⟧
⟦They were ones under the leadership of the benevolent king until he was betrayed by a Tyrant who went into an alliance with the forsaken race⟧
Seeing this message, Kent immediately understood why Fedora was their target. They wanted the planet to become home to the forsaken race, just like how the Hand tried to do with Sonox.
This caused his anger to explode.
However, the next second, thousands of warriors surrounded them, their weapons pointed at Uncle Drew and him.
"Surrender and let yourself be captured. Resist and you die," an Ice Human with blue hair said, his expression filled with anger.
Kent and Uncle Drew said nothing.
Uncle Drew even threw a grape into his mouth and started chewing. He seemed to have picked up a grape addiction since he returned from the Underworld.
Seeing this clear provocation, the Ice Human exploded in anger. However, before he could say anything, Kent asked a rather simple question...
"How long have you been working for the forsaken race?"
Hearing this question, all of them frowned, some even breaking into a sweat. They clearly didn’t expect an outsider to ask this question, not when it was meant to be a secret.
"KILL THEM!"
