Chapter 1197: Back to the Underworld
Chapter 1197: Back to the Underworld
In the 9th level of the underworld, everybody knew who Uncle Drew was.
When he first came there, many tried to get to him and use him to escape the underworld. After all, he is a living being who somehow managed to get to the underworld with his living body.
If they can find out how he managed that, perhaps they can escape.
However, they soon learn that reaching Uncle Drew was next to impossible. It turned out he is a special guest of their Queen, and, as such, unless they want to die, getting to him is impossible.
So in the 9th level of the underworld, Uncle Drew is like a king.
However, he doesn’t care about that at all. His focus was more on growing stronger so he could protect his young master much better.
He had accomplished most of it, but just when he thought he could escape back to the land of the living, where he would laze around some more, he was sent back to the underworld, this time with a mission that would take him down to hell.
It seems now that he has finally become strong, things aren’t going as simply as he thought. Then again, he had no idea what destiny had in store for him on this mission.
"You know, when you said you wouldn’t be coming back here for at least another thousand years, I expected you actually to keep that promise. Now, here you are again."
Nyx, seated on her dark throne, said, taking a sip of hell wine, a special brew her friend Bilad sent her from the 6th level of Hell.
Seven Underworld Lords were seated in what appeared to be a meeting. They turn and look at Uncle Drew. Some of them even smile since Uncle Drew bragged to them that he would be gone for several centuries.
Uncle Drew didn’t say anything and just walked to a seat specially prepared for him. He closed his eyes and started waiting for them to finish their meeting.
The Underworld Lords didn’t mind. They are already used to Uncle Drew being around since he is a special guest to their queen.
A day in the land of the living is ten days in the underworld. Uncle Drew had been gone for almost two years, so that was quite some time he spent with them there.
Some trained with him, while others merely exchanged greetings in passing.
After an hour, the meeting ended, and they left.
"Well, what brought you back, Lord Kael?" Nyx teased, but Uncle Drew ignored her.
He opened his eyes from his partial sleep and spoke in a lazy tone... "Young Master said hi."
Hearing what Uncle Drew said, Nyx’s expression brightened. "How is he doing?"
"He is more than fine."
"I see." Nyx became sad again.
She misses Kent a lot, but she can’t leave, not just yet, so all she could do was miss him and wait for him to come to her.
"I suppose he is why you are here."
"Obviously. I wouldn’t leave the land of the living just to come hang around with dead people."
Nyx smirked... "See who is talking. Makes me wonder what you are again. Oh, a night rider, someone stuck between life and death."
Uncle Drew smiled.
He is indeed stuck between the two; however, that doesn’t mean staying in the land of the dead is ideal. Naturally, staying with the living is much more enjoyable.
He has Gaia and her band of troublemakers to worry him every single day.
So he would love to live among the living rather than with the dead.
"My young master sent me to Hell. He said you can help me get there, and since it is urgent, I would love to be on my way soon."
"Did something bad happen?"
"Kinda. The young master wants to wage war on the immortal family that kidnapped his friend and locked him away. You know, the bird guy."
"Oh, I see. Bilad will be happy to send some hell demons to aid him."
Nyx waved her hand, and the space around them shifted. One second, they were in the meeting hall; the next second, they were standing before a door.
"This gate leads you to Hell. However, unlike here, where you can roam freely, Hell is different, so be careful. Bilad will know you are coming."
Uncle Drew looked at Nyx with a straight expression. Seeing this, Nyx smiled... "Sorry, I forgot you are the master of the infamous 14th level of Hell. Not that I believe it exists, but whatever makes you happy, I guess."
Uncle Drew didn’t say anything and just opened the door. "Prepare a gift for the Young Master by the time I return. I have found a way to transport items to the land of the living now."
"Oh, really. I’d better get on that fast."
Uncle Drew didn’t say anything and just left. The moment he walked through the open door, it closed behind him.

[6th Level of Hell - Nex Morbus]
A lot had changed since Kent left Hell over three million years ago. All 14 cities are now fortresses. The walls are tall and armed with all kinds of formations and arrays.
After Kent left, Bilad decided to create one of the strongest hell levels. He was merely an immortal back then; however, he had big dreams to build something big and better, something that could rival even the first level of Hell.
So he started, and after over 3 million years, he had succeeded.
Now, every last City Lord is a demigod with many immortal subordinates. In fact, the first four strongest City Lords have demigods as their subordinates, too.
This projected the 6th level of Hell to a much higher, more powerful level.
Even the overlord of hell lives there now.
Bilad’s dream was realised, and so, after that, he started building a special army, the kind that, when unleashed, no army will stand in their way.
At the moment, he was locked in combat with two demigods. He had long reached the rank of a demigod, and judging by how he was thrashing these demigods, it is clear he is no ordinary demigod.
Suddenly, something vibrated inside his space ring, so he had to pause and answer it.
"Nyx, great of you to finally remember I am still alive."
"Don’t overestimate yourself, Bilad. I wouldn’t be calling to check up on you... I have more important things to focus on."
Bilad smiled and asked, "Then why did you call?"
"Your boss sent someone to deliver a message to you. Naturally, I wouldn’t say anything, but knowing you want to impress him, maybe impressing his subordinate will suffice. Just don’t pair him against anyone above the True Immortal stage."
"He is that monstrous, huh?"
"Well, he entered the Inner Region of the Black Castle while he was at the Heavenly Ascension stage."
Bilad furrowed his brow, "Interesting. Thanks for the info, Nyx."
"Whatever."
Nyx hung up, and Bilad turned to the hell demons assembled in the arena with him. "I need five True Immortals to challenge someone who is currently on his way here."
