Chapter 1199: Night Riders Reunion
Chapter 1199: Night Riders Reunion
Before the Wraith Queen died, she blessed 69 people with the power of the night. These 69 later became the elite known as the Night Riders.
To date, they are known as the most lethal and most dangerous warrior unit in the universe. No unit came close, not even the legendary Undead Legion or the Eternal Wrath legion
Their leader, Kael Duskbane, had led them into many battles, their last being the battle against the creatures of the dark. In that battle, they fought side by side with many other great warriors.
It was a harrowing battle, one that ended all battles in the Dark Era.
However, nobody knew how they fell.
Many speculated that their end came at the hands of a betrayer they trusted. Some say they entered the Dark Realm and sealed it from within, thereby preventing future confrontations with its creatures.
There are many speculations and rumours about how they died.
However, one thing was sure...
One day, the Night Riders would return.
Many knew that - both allies and enemies.
They knew they would return, and now, watching the seven people jump down from their hellhorses, each exuding the power of a Demigod, Uncle Drew could only smile.
He felt both pride and respect for them. After all, every last one of them followed him into battle during the Dark Era.
"It is good to see you guys again," he said as he walked toward them with a smile on his face. They embraced in one big Night Riders hug, the kind that shows just how much they miss each other.
"How have you been, Captain?" a brute holding an axe asked.
The smile on his face shows he is happy. And well, despite their captain only being at the Death stage, all eight of them, which include Laziel, look at him with respect.
Laziel is even a god, yet he is respectful toward Uncle Drew.
"I have been well, Vargus," Uncle Drew said with a smile.
He then turned and looked at the millions of people watching from the city. "Maybe we should take this somewhere else."
Laziel nodded and snapped his finger. The next second, they are standing atop a tall mountain, looking over a majestic city in the distance.
He then proceeded to shield them from outside interference. Once he made sure nobody could spy on them, he nodded to the rest of them.
"I believe it is no coincidence you all are here now. After all, we both know what is coming and what preparations are coming.
However, I will still ask, What are you doing here?" Uncle Drew asked, directing his question to Laziel since he is the strongest of them at the moment.
He smiled and answered, "First of all, I believe we both remember what happened in the last minutes of the battle against the Creatures of the Dark."
Uncle Drew and the seven other Night Riders nodded, their expressions turning dark.
"Well, when I regained my memories after my rebirth, I started looking for the rest; however, even after a million years searching, I couldn’t get wind of anyone.
Depressed, I came down to hell and decided to become a Hell King. They would have given me a purpose for a while. However, in the process of becoming a Hell King, the Overlord of Hell found out my identity, and so he tried to kill me.
Let’s just say he failed, and thanks to him, I easily became a god and the supreme Overlord of all 13 levels of hell. I have been living here since.
However, about 40,000 years ago, Vargus found me, and thanks to him, I managed to track down the others. Now, as you can see, there are eight of us here so far.
However, we learned that the others have returned to the Dark City since the veil is thinning.
Of course, not all of them are there, so we will have to look for the rest. However, to reunite with you, we had to wait for you to come here before heading to the Dark City."
Uncle Drew raised his brow... "So you knew I would be coming."
"Of course, the Weeping Virgin told me."
Uncle Drew chuckled. "That woman is still alive, huh. I guess old bones die hard."
The Weeping Virgin is an old legend.
She is a woman with many mysteries. According to legend, she lived during the Primordial Era, and since then, she had appeared at least once in every Era, always bringing fatal news.
"The last time we met, she predicted the master would be betrayed, and true to her words, he was indeed betrayed, leading to us all dying."
Uncle Drew smiled, "I wanted her dead, you know, but it seems she had her role to play after all."
Laziel and the others nodded. "That she did. She predicted you would come here and that when you arrive, I should announce to all of hell that the Night Riders are back.
I wanted to ask some questions, but you know her already."
Uncle Drew smirked and decided to forget about the Weeping Virgin and focus on the fact that he had reunited with his team, or a part of them.
"Young Master has reincarnated, too. He was the one who sent me here."
"Really? How does he look? Is he still the same old Bandit?"
"Is he tall, strong, and mighty?"
"Can he solo us in combat?"

All kinds of questions were asked by the Night Riders, leaving Uncle Drew to wonder just what to say. Kent isn’t exactly strong at the moment. He is only at the Spirit Lord stage, so asking if he can solo a Demigod is just asking too much.
Of course, he knew they were asking these questions simply because they missed him.
To the rest of the universe, there were only 69 Night Riders. However, there was a 70th. Of course, he wasn’t a Night Rider, but he was a creature of the night, a being so ruthless his name has been wiped from the history books.
Hearing he is back, they all want to know more about him and, if possible, exchange blows to see if he is still the old him.
In the end, however, Uncle Drew had the perfect answer.
"How many of you knew the Chaos Dragon that lived and ruled the Primordial Era?"
They all raised their hands.
Uncle Drew smiled and said:
"You see, he is the Master’s true self. In other words, Master was the Primordial Chaos Dragon."
"WHAT"
"Don’t be shocked. He was also the greatest swordsman to have ever lived. Aside from that, he was also known as the Faceless Assassin."
"Are you saying the Red Scythe Ruthless Bandit, the man who painted battlefield red and caused every god to go into hiding, was the Primordial Chaos Dragon the whole time?"
"A part of his soul from what the master told me. But yes."
"Damn," Laziel took a deep breath, his mind reeling from what he had just heard. "Who knew our ruthless master was actually that cool in his past life?"
Uncle Drew smiled and said, "Oh, he is cooler in this life. You see, he is also the King of the 6th level of hell."
"Wait a minute." Laziel raised his slender finger to pause Uncle Drew... "Are you saying our master, the Ruthless Bandit, is Kent Madson..."
This time, the seven Night Riders beside him raised their brows.
