Chapter 1215: Jade Void Wings
Chapter 1215: Jade Void Wings
Kent didn’t know which of his past lives had angered Enzi so much that she went against the cycle of reincarnation just to meet him today and express her frustration.
In fact, he had absolutely no idea what kind of pain could evoke such a reaction in a person.
That was, in fact, just too much for him to understand.
In his mind, none of what had happened was normal, and it most certainly wasn’t worth the effort.
I mean, to travel across the cycle of reincarnation to throw a tantrum isn’t at all normal. There isn’t any pain that should make a person sacrifice so much just to throw tantrums.
’Unless...?’ Something suddenly clicked in Kent’s mind, causing his back to break into a cold sweat. He pulls away from Enzi and looks at her dangerously close.
Seeing how Kent was looking at her, she also narrowed her eyes and asked, "Why are you looking at me like you want to swallow me?"
"Are you alright?" Kent asked, a little worried about Enzi and a lot more wary of her.
"Why won’t I be well? I have just gained a True Name and awakened my glass domain. If anything, I am more than fine." She paused and suddenly asked, "Are you alright, though? You seem a little pale."
"N-Nothing. I am perfectly fine," Kent hugged her again, but his suspicion wasn’t satiated just yet. A part of him thinks Enzi isn’t telling him everything.
Although she wouldn’t betray him or plot against him, he most certainly felt like she wasn’t the same Enzi he knew. Of course, she had become who she is meant to be.
She is now an Angel, she has awakened her true glass domain — Shattered Realm — and even seems to have awakened some powerful bloodline abilities that will grow with her.
If anything, she is now happier, well and safer than ever.
However, a part of him still thinks Aelvara Shardheart is hiding in there somewhere. Although she was Enzi’s past self, and that she would eventually remember that part of her, just from the way Aelvara spoke, Kent knew something wasn’t right.
She wouldn’t send a part of her consciousness to the future just to throw a tantrum. If anything, it seems she did everything for Enzi, and that alone is scary.
’Maybe I am just overthinking things.’ Kent chose to force everything back in his mind and instead focus on the present and how best to live a good life.
Enzi is in no way going to betray him. None of his wives will, for they love him more than anything to betray him. However, there are more ways to make him regret his life choice.
’First, it was Lene who dodged the question about my life when I was the master of the Night Riders. Now, it seems I was a bastard who toyed with the hearts of women.’
He smiled weakly...’I thought Chaos was a bastard, but it seems I was wrong. Now, I can’t help but wonder just what kind of person I was in all 13 lives.
’Was I a villain somewhere along the line?’
Enzi smiled, ’So you lived 13 lives, huh. Good to know then. I will share it with my sisters.’
Since they are still inside the Shattered Realm, everything Kent thinks of, she can hear. And so she learned something her sisters had been wondering about.
This made her happy, but the crazy look in her eyes said it all. She is not the same Enzi Kent knew.
The current her is far more complex than she was before.
After a few minutes just resting in each other’s arms, Kent broke the hug and took a better look at Enzi... "You are now a peak Heavenly Ascension stage cultivator. Congratulations."
"Thank you," Enzi responded. She was a Peak Spirit Lord before the True Name Awakening. Now, she had jumped to the peak of a High World, ready to become an immortal the moment Kent Ascends to an Immortal world.
She turned toward one section of the mirrors and made a grabbing motion. A door opened in that section, revealing an endless expanse of glass.
From within, three pairs of glass-metallic wings appeared and flew toward her.
Kent raised his brow, watching the wings move through the air. ’These wings, the vibration, it feels so familiar,’ Kent thought, causing Enzi to smile.
"This is the Jade Void Wings. I have no idea where it came from, but I know it was meant for you. I also have no idea how to fuse with it, but I know you will figure something out."
She gestured, and the wings flew toward Kent. When they got close, the tower quickly stored them for Kent.
"Thank you."
Enzi moved toward Kent and kissed him. Then she waved her hand, and the Shattered Realm started to disperse. Down below, her sisters looked stunned, gazing at the crystal beauty hovering in the air.
She has human flesh, but the attire and wings behind her are crystal (glasslike). Aside from that, the aura around her is profound, much more potent than a normal Heavenly Ascension stage expert.
She is now a tall, thick beauty, so beautiful that angels will even admire her. She had undergone a complete makeover, earning a body that Kent would love to see naked all day, every day.
When they landed, the rest of her sisters surrounded her and began examining her.
It was something they always do whenever they awaken their True Names.
"You have become gorgeous, Enzi," Liora said, brushing her hand through Enzi’s hair. She turned and looked at her friend and smiled,
"It is your turn next. Let’s see what kind of shadow beauty you become then."
Liora smiled.
It is indeed her turn next.
Although she is nervous, she is also prepared to become who she was meant to be.
Having a True Name is something not many can boast about. The only time a person gets a True Name is when they do something that impresses the universe.
So having one was an honour they are proud of. Now, when they are in trouble, just invoking their True Names will give them some assistance from the universe.
All these women in Kent’s life had, in one way or another, done something super great in their past lives, and so they earned their True Names.
Even Lani, who was a menace back in the day, ended up receiving a True Name when she chose to be selfless and think of others instead of herself for once.
So in a way, Liora was just nervous about what she would become. She is already aware that once she gets a True Name, she will start recalling her past life, and that, in a way, scares her.
"No need to be nervous, Liora. Regardless of who you turned out to be, I will not stop loving you. So lighten up, and let’s see what kind of badass you were in your past life."
Kent managed to calm her beating heart down.
"Kent is right. Relax and let greatness find you. Trust me, I am happier than I was before," Enzi encouraged her friend, too. The two of them share a great bond and have been best friends for many years.
Liora nodded to Enzi’s words. She turned to Kent and said, "I am ready."
He retrieved a True Name awakening token and activated it. The next second, Liora was enveloped in absolute darkness.
