Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1287: Thousand Blade

Chapter 1287: Thousand Blade

Kent spent 2 minutes teleporting continuously toward the Midnight Temple. He knew the location and was aware that to get there, he must use the secret teleportation gate built somewhere in the city.

The teleportation gate would have taken him to the midnight temple in under a minute. However, because he wanted to speak with Yin and Yang, he took the long route.

After two minutes of moving, he came to a stop atop a tall mountain. The mountain overlooks a forest with trees having only black leaves.

"The Black Leaf Forest," Kent muttered, looking at the dark forest stretching as far as the eye could take him. "I never knew I would come here again after this many years had passed."

Kent felt his heartbeat settle, rise, and fall as he gazed at one of the many forests he had trained in whenever he had free time in the past.

The beasts inside this forest are mostly dark type.

Their affinity for the darkness element is very potent, so it would be in any assassin’s best interest to train here if they want to improve their shadow manipulation abilities.

Faceless had frequented this forest countless times when he was still a mortal. So coming back is just too emotionally overwhelming.

Kent extended the soul map scanning abilities, and what he saw made him smile.

"Looks like they’ve made the forest their camp and even tamed most of the beasts." He saw some assassins hidden in the shadows, some playing around with the beasts, and others even sparring with them.

As someone who honed his abilities by battling beasts mostly, Kent knew the Midnight Shadows were still following his teachings.

In his opinion, after spending most of his teenage and adult life fighting beasts, Kent realised that if a human behaves like a beast, they become unpredictable to their fellow humans.

He realised this when, after he escaped the Green Rain Forest, whenever he battled an opponent, they couldn’t seem to grasp his battle style.

After fighting thousands of different beasts, he developed a unique battle style, and now, it seems these assassins are also doing the same.

"Good for them, I guess. If they can create their own beast battle style and incorporate human battle styles into it, then aside from killing from the shadows, even in a one-on-one duel, they would have nothing to worry about."

Kent took a step and appeared thousands of meters away in the air.

"Just over this range, the Midnight Temple stood tall and proud." With another step, he closed in some more. Then, with a few more steps, he appeared within 20,000 km of the Midnight Temple.

’Hmm, as expected, even with the restrictions, the Midnight Shadows aren’t affected,’ Kent thought, watching the Immortal Lords gaze back at him from 20,000 km away.

While in the high world where the restriction limits one’s cultivation base to Heavenly Ascension, their strength is still that of an Immortal Lord, and even more shocking is the fact that there are two other Immortal Lords with him.

They each held their scrutinising gaze on him as if they were sizing him up while holding themselves back not to offend him too much. They aren’t sure if he is indeed the real deal.

’Hmm, I am starting to see some trends here,’ Kent thought inwardly. First, it was the Night Riders who, after awakening a particular innate talent, wouldn’t be restricted.

Now, it is the Midnight Shadows. That can’t be a coincidence. Kent knew that, and so he started to suspect that maybe his Undead and Eternal Wrath Legion are there, just that he hadn’t found what he was missing.

’I will look into it when I am back.’ With his mind made up, Kent took the last step, appearing only a few meters from the main gate of the Midnight Temple.

It is built like a castle, with walls made from black stone.

BANG

The door slowly opened, revealing a long hall where, at the far end, four people awaited Kent’s arrival. There were three Immortal Lords and Adin, whose real Death Stage cultivation was revealed.

"Looks like you went above and beyond, Adin," Kent said, appearing inside the hall with a single step. He was using the soul map as a medium, so a single step could go as far as 80,000 km if he wanted.

Instead of replying, Adin bowed. "Welcome back to the Midnight Temple, Lord Faceless."

"Here is the drama again. I already told you to do away with the dramatics, Adin. I am not fully back yet, so treat my presence here as me merely passing by."

Adin nodded and then turned to the three Immortal Lords. But before he could say anything, one of them raised his hand and gestured down, causing a crushing pressure to descend on Kent.

Kent’s body froze in place. Not even his finger could be moved.

"Lord Thousand Blade, what is the meaning of this?" Adin tried to move toward Kent, but his body also froze in place, a horrified expression painting his face.

"Adin, I never saw you to be easily deceived. Do you really think a mere dragon mortal could be who he claimed to be?" Thousand Blades said, taking a step forward.

The other two Immortal Lords just sat there with their expressions calm, though the ridicule could be seen on their faces.

Adin called Thousand Blade since he was the one who created the seal. However, when he arrived, these two, who also seemed to be leaders of a galaxy in the Immortal Realm, came with him.

They all wanted to see who claimed to be the rebirth of their one true leader, the Faceless Assassin. However, when Kent appeared, all they saw was a dragon who had nothing in common with their leader.

So Thousand Blade wanted to test him first since he was told he was Kent Madson. If he were as strong as they said, he would either recruit him or wipe his memory and send him on his way.

He appeared in front of Kent and reached to touch his forehead to read his memories. However, before his hand could come inches from Kent, a grin appeared on his face.

"How interesting. This is just how I expected you losers to behave." Under everyone’s stunned gaze, Kent shook his body and started walking toward a large throne-like chair made from black wood.

He reached the chair and calmly sat down, a smirk on his face. "Cleaner than I expected. Looks like you guys knew I might return someday," Kent then raised his head and looked at Thousand Blade.

"Tsa Ke Lu Ha." He spoke an unrecognisable language and then snapped his finger. However, what happened next caused Thousand Blades and the other two Immortal Lords to drop to their knees.

The Faceless Agent Mark on Thousand Blades’ forehead flickered and dispersed. In an instant, his status as a Faceless Agent was taken from him.

From what they knew, only the Faceless Assassin could do that. This left them in a state of panic. However, what Kent and Adin did next shook them.

"Adin, didn’t you show them the True Faceless Agent Mark?" Kent asked, and Adin, who was supposed to be suppressed, smiled and formed a hand seal.

At once, a complete dagger appeared on his forehead, unlike the half-broken dagger on Thousand Blades and the other two Immortal Lords’ foreheads.

This sight instantly forced them to drop to their knees.
