Meanwhile, on the surface, a sea of beasts could be seen populating the location Kent jumped into the crater. They had been commanded to come by the temple master of Annihilation.
The first loss he had incurred was just too humiliating for him. He wanted to see Kent cornered and struggling; however, in less than 5 minutes, he had lost over 100,000 beasts.
Though the number Kent had killed wasn’t close to wiping 10% of the beasts inside the forest, it was still a huge blow.
During the Primordial Era, Void Temple arrives, and it tries its best to mutate as many beasts, people, and any spirit beings it can. This is to ensure that when it opens, there will be enough army to wreak havoc and steal precious souls to open the Void Gates (Doom Gates).
So, since that was their main objective, they would hate to lose their manpower. So while Kent may have done what he did simply to survive, to them it was an insult, and as such it must be paid in full.
So he sent out twice the number he sent at first, and this time, there are thousands of Death Stage beasts in the mix.
But they aren’t the only monsters after Kent this time. There are 4 Pseudo-Void Beasts with them.
Far from the crater, standing west of where Kent would arrive, is a colossal wolf that seemed to have been made from condensed void matter, 20 meters tall, radiating a corrupted void aura. Its body appears half-real, half-erased, with jagged Claws and Fangs. Its eyes are hollow, and its maw leaks strands of liquid that melt the ground as they fall.
This hideous creature is the Void Howler Beast, one of the beasts whose fangs Kent needed. It is a Peak Death Stage beast that underwent mutation, becoming a Pseudo-Void Beast.
Its hollow gaze was fixed on the location where Kent had jumped into the crater, eagerly awaiting when he would emerge.
On the east stood another terror, a massive serpentine beast with a body wrapped in abyssal ice that seemed to freeze everything closer to it. Its scales resemble cracked glaciers, glowing faintly with deep-sea frost runes.
The Abyssal Frost Serpent had also been deployed.
But they aren’t the only ones. In the south, the Solar-Pelt Lion of the First Dawn is blazing like a morning sun.
These three beasts Kent needs their fangs for the formation that will take him closer to the edge of the galaxy.
However, standing at the north is the Seven-Horn Nightmare Devastating Shark Beast. It is a colossal shark with a body made from what appears to be metal. Seven massive horns curve backwards from its skull—each etched with ancient runes.
This is the beast Kent initially planned to come to Planet Bayla for. It is his other requirement to become a Sword Emperor.
From what he knows of this beast, only sword-related skills can hurt it.
Now, it had become a Pseudo-Void Beast, and judging by how it was looking in Kent’s direction, it had no holy intention toward him.
This time, he will either fight or flee. However, since he is now in the home of the Void Beasts, there is nowhere to run.
