Chapter 1300: Jade Void Wings Dominate
Chapter 1300: Jade Void Wings Dominate
Plan B is a contingency Kent devised before entering the forest. In the situation where he had to make a last-minute decision if his perfectly crafted plan was thrown into disarray, Plan B would come into play.
Obviously, he never expected there to be a hidden mechanism in this rotten world. He never expected such a deadly attack to come from nowhere.
However, as he narrowly evaded the spear, he knew he’d had to be careful, else his death would come faster than he hoped.
A little mistake can obviously cause a god’s death in the most shocking ways.
So he abandoned the sword and took on the dragon claws, which Kent knew and was confident enough to face the immortals. His claws are gradeless, deadly weapons.
However, nothing prepared him for what happened next. The moment he activated 50,000 flame veins, something rather unexpected happened.
Just when he saw his speed reach a different kind of crazy, one of the True Immortals moved with a single step and slashed his chest with his dagger.
Kent moved back, harnessing his speed; however, the dagger left a deep cut on his chest.
"What the fuck?"
Kent was struck dumb as he looked at the blood from the cut seep and soak his brown cloak armour. The attack came at a speed he never saw coming, and that shocked him.
However, as he took a moment to observe, he saw three immortal qi surrounding all three True Immortals and two each for the Spirit Immortals. As for the Core Immortals, they each have only one.
’So that is what three immortal qi can do, huh?’ Kent didn’t take his assumptions seriously since he knew these duds were merely brainless puppets on a string.
The real deals who are living and breathing would be much more deadly with even just one immortal Qi. But he was shocked that he sustained such a deep cut from a puppet.
He increased the flame veins to 70,000, which was already too much for such a battle. However, when the three True Immortals moved, he realised he was once again lacking in speed.
This shook Kent greatly. However, he allowed himself to feel the thrill of battle. In an instant, the 16 remaining immortals became insignificant.
The speed at which he and the three True Immortals were moving was just too fast for them to track. Kent was exchanging blows with the three True Immortals to the point that, within a second, he blocked close to 300 attacks and counted them all.
"Thrilling. So this is how it feels to be fast and deadly." Kent let himself see and feel how easy it would be to kill the 16 other immortals.
Although the speed he was going is less than that of the three True Immortals, it gave him a measure of how much he is lacking and what it feels like to be super fast.
"Ah, what the hell?" Kent was pushed back after he managed to seize a dagger from one of the True Immortals. He examined the dagger for a second before storing it away, leaving the immortal with one dagger.
Naturally, that left the poor guy handicapped. However, Kent didn’t care, and from the look of things, the True Immortal didn’t seem to care either since he was already upon him in a fierce stabbing posture.
In less than ten minutes, Kent had sustained dozens of deep cuts. However, he wasn’t the only one injured. He had managed to injure the three True Immortals to the point they chose to move back to heal.
[What do you think, Master?] Tower asked, watching as the Core and Spirit Immortals moved toward Kent.
"It seems that if I want to win against True Immortals who aren’t puppets, I must use all 120,000 flame veins and at least 40,000 blood runes. I might even do more against Void and other era-ending Beasts"
Just when Kent said that, the attacks arrived, but he blinked away and appeared behind one of the Core Immortals. His claws moved and grabbed his head.
"But if the True Immortal has 4 immortal qi, then I must either become a full-on dragon or use the void wings."
Kent gave the head a hard squeeze, smashing it like a watermelon. It exploded, and blood gushed out. However, Kent was long gone before the other immortals arrived on the scene.
[In that case, why not dominate from now onwards? Although the master wished to see how strong he had become, instead of waiting for a powerful opponent, why not use the weaker ones to have fun?]
Kent appeared behind another Core Immortal, and like the first one, he gave his head a hard squeeze, and it exploded.
"That doesn’t sound half bad." The True Immortals closed in on him, but Kent used the soul map again to blink to another target, and for the third time, he exploded his head.
[Let’s try it then]
Kent nodded and suddenly came to a stop, his dragon wings dragging the wind with him. However, just when he stopped, the three True Immortals appeared, each stabbing their weapons at him.
"Too late."
BUZZZZZZZZ
Three pairs of dark metallic wings appeared behind Kent, shattering the void. The three immortals who attacked were blasted back, their bones barely handling the pressure that came from the jade void wings.
Kent instantly felt his speed explode beyond the level the True Immortals could track.
"This is insane." When a Core Immortal moved, Kent saw him in slow-mo.
It was like he had no speed in him. But even more chilling was the fact that Kent could see through him. ’He looks so hollow that I can even move through him.’
To test that theory, he stepped forward and, as expected, he smashed through the Core Immortal, his body exploding into mist.
"Insane." Though invisible to the naked eye, Kent could see a force field made of void essence surround him. This was what caused the Core Immortal to explode.
Kent simply pulled the void through the poor, dead gut, turning him to blood spray.
To test it some more, he targeted the three remaining Core Immortals and moved through them, causing their bodies to explode.
[Go for it, Master. I am collecting their blood essence and blood. Although contaminated by the energy of death, that would be perfect for refining more Blood Life and Deal seals.]
"Very efficient and effective, I guess. In anycase, I like the feeling of walking through people. Kent grinned and took a step forward, pulling 300 km between him and the True Immortals.
"In that case, why not run headfirst into my problems?" Like he had lost his sense of direction, he started exploding their bodies.
The True Immortals tried to intervene, but Kent was moving at a speed none of them could track. In fact, what they were seeing was merely an afterimage of another afterimage.
Kent was just too fast, and the Temple Master of Annihilation could see everything happening. This left him shocked and slightly terrified.
In no time, Kent had killed every last immortal, the True Immortals included. Just when the last of them died, the flag trembled, and Kent appeared on the outside.
SHRINNK
The demonic human was first to go.
