Chapter 1302: Cores Saturated

Chapter 1302: Cores Saturated

[14 Days Later]

A while back, when Kent formed the second blood core, he was shocked to find his first core had again increased in size, further demanding more blood essence to saturate it.

He had once saturated it to the max, hoping that was all. However, forming the second core revealed a bitter truth: each new core causes the old ones to grow much larger.

Obviously, of the many things he expected, he didn’t see that coming.

The idea of having to farm more blood essence to saturate both cores sounded like a hectic task he knew would take too much time to focus on.

His cores aren’t exactly the average size. They are enormous, and this is evident from the sheer amount of blood essence required to create and saturate them.

Sadly, it also means that whenever he wants to form a new core, the resources he would use would be more than those he used in previous ones. Basically, the more cores he forms, the more time and resources he would need.

Not forgetting the time he would have to invest into every last one of his cores.

However, now standing on the Blood Platform, gazing at the Blood Core Gates housing his two cores, he knew it was worth it.

Both cores had been fully saturated. Millions of golden runes line the surface of the cores, each releasing waves of energy that aren’t exactly something someone of Kent’s strength should be able to.

However, he understood that with his cores saturated, all he had to do was ascend to an immortal world, and his chance of reaching the Root Immortal stage was very high.

But that is in the future. The focus is now more on his gains, since a lot has changed after saturating both cores.

Surprisingly, he was able to reform his soul into a body, allowing him to physically interact with his Soul Sea. At first, he could only see inside his soul sea but could not walk around.

Now, gazing at the vast soul sea, made completely of a sea of blood, he couldn’t help but let a smile form on his face.

Kent had already been into the Primordial Spaces of his wives, and what he saw told him the kind of power they commanded.

Alina had runes and arrays everywhere, showing her nature as a formation expert. Elaine had half her Primordial Space full of life, and the other half filled with tombstones and a rather dried-up, horrible tree expressing her control over life and death.

Basically, everything about their Primordial Space, which to them represents their Soul Sea, reflected their job classes and talents. So for him to have a world of blood, Kent couldn’t help but click his tongue.

"The day I awaken my Primordial Spirit and Primordial Space, I will be sure not to bring the ladies here. I will basically be scaring them silly."

Kent didn’t know how, but aside from the churning sea and thunderstorm brewing in the air, the eeriness seemed to have reached a whole different level.

It was like his soul sea had become a blood-infested region where danger and blood are but one.

The blood sea stretched as far as the eye could see, and the Blood Platform on which the Blood Gates stood covered a rather large portion of the blood sea.

He had only formed two cores, so there are only two Core Gates standing on the platform. They stood tall and imposing. Each gate stood over 10,000 km tall and 5,000 km wide.

The cores themselves are akin to giant blood moons, filling the gates.

In fact, since the flame core is also occupying the first Blood Gate, that one looks even more dangerous.

There is a red core filled with blood hanging at the top and a green core radiating intense heat below it. The blood core is larger than the flame core, but the difference isn’t by much.

However, since they are both dangerous to even look at, Kent pays them less attention, oblivious to their true nature yet, and focuses on the new things that have appeared in his Soul Sea.

Quite a few scary and beautiful things had appeared inside the Soul Sea, and so he decided to focus on them instead.

The first is the large, horrific gate standing not too far from the Blood Platform. It is about 5,000 km tall and 2,500 km wide. The doors are huge and open in the middle, spreading both ways. On those enormous metallic doors, drawings—or more like carvings—of terrible-looking demonic beasts littered their rough surface.

"The Underworld Soul River Door." Kent didn’t need the tower to tell him what the door is. The latest soul skill—Underword Soul River—that he was too scared to use seemed to have manifested inside his Soul Sea.

When he tried to use it a couple of weeks after receiving it, Kent saw only a small opening into the terrifying sea hidden behind those doors.

That sight scared him so much that he chose to hold back his curiosity and let sleeping dogs lie. However, he knew he would have to use it at some point.

When that time comes, this terrifying door would manifest on the outside and open for all to witness the horror of the ’Underworld Soul River’.

"I should probably prepare mentally for this and, if possible, add more soul-strengthening cultivation techniques to the list. This way, I wouldn’t be too shaken by my own skill."

After Kent was done scrutinising the terrifying door, he shifted his attention to the second thing.

It is a large, 13-layered golden metallic disc with a mysterious aura around it. It has an intricate design, one that makes it look more like a cultivation diagram.

Kent had no idea what it was. However, he knew it was connected to him. He can tell it is important to him. But since he had no idea what it was, he planned to wait for now and search for understanding later.

"Maybe it is connected to my 13 reincarnations." Kent turned away, not willing to dwell on something he had no idea what. The next item, however, is a single circular red disc with six orbs.

Kent knew this one was linked to him somehow, too. However, he knew their true nature would be revealed when he finally met all six True Primordials and inherited their legacies.

It has six orbs representing the Six True Primordials, who are meant to lead Kent to the realm they could never reach. Becoming a True Primordial is Kent’s ultimate goal.

So seeing six orbs, he knew they were connected to it. This also means, just like the 13-layered disc, he would have to put it aside and focus on what he can handle right now.

Naturally, Kent didn’t mind examining them some more. However, he would only do that if he were inside the tower, where time is on his side.

So while he is setting them aside for now, he knew he would have to come back to them once he is done with his quest.

He turned to the last thing that suddenly appeared after saturating his two cores.

Kent turned to a majestic green tree that houses thousands of apple-looking golden fruits. Each fruit has hundreds of runes shimmering on its surface; however, only two seem to be ripe and are reddish.

"Tower, what am I looking at?"
