Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1303: Bloodline Skill Tree

Chapter 1303: Bloodline Skill Tree

Forget about the name of the tree; its appearance is everything. It has broad leaves and many interlocking branches, a cosy feel and a pleasant smell despite standing at the centre of a blood sea.

The leaves had been woven so intricately that they formed a perfect canopy, a perfect resting place after a long and hard day’s work, if this were a physical tree.

It is just magical and extremely beautiful.

Then there are the thousands of golden fruits hanging from the branches. They look edible, but at the same time, poisonous. Perhaps that was a sign for Kent not dare try eating it.

The two ripe ones stood out, giving the tree a unique aesthetic. Those ones, Kent could already sense the edible smell coming from them.

[This is the Bloodline Skill Tree. It is something of a myth, rumoured to have existed only among the Six True Primordials. It houses all the bloodline skills there are, and learning those skills is as simple as eating a fruit.]

"Hold on a minute, Tower." Kent took a deep gulp and slowly processed what Tower had said. He needed his clarity for what he was about to digest.

"You mean to say this tree standing before me, with over five thousand fruits on its branches, is a tree holding all the innate bloodline abilities I can awaken and use simply by eating mere ripped fruits?"

[Among other things, yes.]

"Among other things?" Kent gave the tower the "hold it there, girl" stance and asked, "Is there something else hidden that I should know?"

[As a matter of fact, yes. While the master is not yet aware, a person, no matter how monstrous, can have no more than 500 innate bloodline skills. Not even True Primordials had more than that...]

Kent looked at the Bloodline Skill Tree and counted over 5,000 fruits, meaning he has over 5,000 innate bloodline skills he can learn the moment the fruits are ripe.

If he were to take what Tower had just said into consideration, then it might seem he had just broken the innate bloodline ability scale by awakening the potential to unlock over 5,000 innate bloodline skills.

That is just mind-blowing, and he is well aware of that.

Unless, of course, there is something hidden beneath the surface. Naturally, Kent immediately unearthed that something.

"I am guessing this many fruits have something to do with my many reincarnations and the Six True Primordials."

[Yes, Master. The master had lived 13 lives, so it seems all innate talents linked to those lives have now manifested in this Bloodline Skill Tree, and as such, the master can learn them all by eating the ripe fruit.

Of course, the master may see it as too many innate skills considering the many fruits. After all, once one keeps growing in the path of ascension, the skills they learned as mortals would become ineffective when they become immortals.

This means they would be forced to learn stronger ones. However, the master shouldn’t worry since bloodline skills aren’t graded like external techniques.

These ones grow with the bloodline, so the stronger the bloodline becomes, the more advanced the skills. In other words, learning an innate skill today is for life.

Also, an innate bloodline skill can evolve other learned innate skills, transforming them into something else. So it can be that you will only learn 100 skills from this tree, but the others would superimpose on those 100 learned skills, making them more advanced and extremely powerful.]

"Well, when you put it that way, I guess I have not only become more powerful now, knowing I have a skill tree standing inside my Soul Sea, but I have the potential to learn over 5,000 innate bloodline skills."

Kent giggled like a child, feeling very happy he had landed this opportunity. It is indeed a great opportunity for someone like him. At this rate, worrying about learning other skills won’t be a problem.

It is as simple as plucking a fruit from a branch and eating it. What could be easier than that?

He wouldn’t have to find a stronger version of a skill after the previous one had become less effective. With just one, he could do more.

Kent keeps smiling; however, he suddenly furrowed his brow as if something important had just crossed his mind.

"Hold on a minute, Tower. You said this is a Bloodline Skill Tree, right? That I will awaken bloodline-related skills.

You also said that this tree houses all the innate bloodline skills tied to my many lives and those of the Six True Primordials.

If that is the case, does it mean I would have to awaken all 13 bloodlines and the six bloodlines that once belonged to the Six True Primordials before I can use them?"

Kent knew there had to be a catch.

If a skill is tied to one’s bloodline, then since he only has the Primordial Chaos Dragon Bloodline, does that mean he is only limited to the skills tied to that bloodline?

Obviously, he is missing something. There is no way he would be given something only to lock it away from him due to an error.

[The master is the Chaos Dragon, and he would always be the Chaos Dragon. This means he would only ever have the Primordial Chaos Dragon Bloodline. However, that doesn’t mean the master wouldn’t be able to wield other bloodline skills.]

"How?"

[The master didn’t ask, so I said nothing. However, the 13-layered discs and the six-orb disc, I believe, are connected to this skill tree.

The first one is called the 13 Layered Life Discs, which requires Life keys to unlock its power. I believe the master would obtain those by reviewing all the memories of his past lives.

The second one is the Six Mark Fate Disc. For that, the master would have to ask any of the True Primordials when he meets them again.]

And that answered his questions. It seems, aside from his bloodline, there are other ways to harness the bloodline abilities of other incarnations and even the True Primordials.

That seems convenient for him, meaning he would now have to figure out what he had to do to unlock the 13 discs. But for now, just knowing there is a way to harness those innate bloodline abilities is enough.

So far, aside from the [Chaos Aura] and [Chaos Dragon Scale] bloodline skills he had awakened, he is basically a brute without any refined skills to tap into when using his dragon form.

He had also forgone the use of the [Blood Chaos Aura] for now since he knew from Chaos that using that mutated aura would largely depend on his [Chaos Heart], which he had yet to form.

So in reality, he needs more skills tied to his bloodline than anything else. ’I wonder if by now walking the Blood & Slaughter path, my bloodline would also undergo mutation?’

Kent reeled in his emotions and chose to find out the answer himself.

It is always good if the results speak for themselves.

"I guess the next logical thing to do is eat these fruits and see what I would be getting this time around."

[That is true. The master must handle that. We, after all, still have temple masters to kill and more missions to go on.]

"Okay then," Kent reached and plucked one of the ripe fruits.
