Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1309: Talisman

Chapter 1309: Talisman

"Hmm, when I first saw it, I thought it was a blood essence," Kent said, closely examining the purple orb radiating intense energy.

While blood essence is golden in colour, Kent knew there were many beings out there with different colours. So he was really inclined to believe what he saw was a blood essence.

"Judging by how intense the energy coming out is and the fact that it feels similar to void essence, then this might be related to the void."

The tower couldn’t find a name for it, so he only assumed its vague nature and then stored it away. Since it is not blood essence, he would store it away.

He had only awoken 80,000 blood runes now, so he was hoping this would have pushed him further to awakening more. Too bad it’s something he can’t absorb just yet.

His focus turned to the talisman.

Seeing the triangular-shaped talisman, a hint of sadness washed over his mind. Back during the Primordial Era, talismans were a big deal...they still are.

One can encode their skills and techniques into talismans and, with enough mastery, even increase their power. Elemental attacks were a thing back then.

But aside from skills and techniques, many with creative minds can create powerful restrictions using a talisman.

Many gods, Supremes, and Celestials created talismans strong enough to kill multiple Void Beasts of their same rank at once.

Chaos met many warriors using the Talisman during his time in the Blood System and even developed a liking for it. Of course, his love for it originated from the time he spent with Elina.

She had always wanted to learn talisman inscription. Too bad she never got to learn it before her death.

Looking at this talisman brought back some sad memories. However, knowing that Elina is still alive and that he is doing everything to get to her made him wipe that sadness away and instead focus on the positive.

"I will take you to all the talisman festivals there are in the universe this time." With a smile on his face, he focused more on the talisman hovering before him.

"It is an attacking-type talisman for sure," Kent examined in some more detail, looking at the purple lines and symbols carved on it. He recognised most, but many eluded him.

In the end, he focused on the one person who could help him...

"Tower, what am I looking at?"

Instead of speaking, rows of text appeared before him showing the name, tier, type, and description of the talisman...

[Name: Purple Void Dragon Lightning Blast]

[Tier: 45 (Peak)]

[Type: Attack]

[Description: A talisman made to mimic the overwhelming lightning blast of a Purple Void Dragon. The greater the energy used to activate it, the stronger the output.]

"Oh, so a Divine Talisman made this." Kent didn’t know if he should be happy or thank his stars he had just escaped disaster.

The Talisman is Tier 45; naturally, it can be considered the same as a Tier 45 formation or an array. In the realm of talismans, just like formations, arrays, artisans, and many others, the ranking is counted in Tiers.

A talisman made by a Divine Talisman is between Tier 41 and 50 and strong enough to kill even an Immortal Lord when the right amount of energy is poured into it.

If Vhar’Zeth had used it against him, he would have suffered greatly. Even with his Chaos scale shield, he would have sustained some heavy damage. Perhaps the only reason Vhar’Zeth didn’t use it was the energy it would require to activate it.

He was afraid that if he used that much energy, even as a Root Immortal, he would have been drained. But again, why would he even use that when the battle lasted less than a minute?

But if he had indeed used it, perhaps Kent would have been in bad shape by now.

"Good thing he didn’t use it. However, I can’t help but wonder if the four remaining temple masters also have this and would be using it against me."

Moments like this, regardless of one’s strength, they can’t help but be cautious. Kent knew he had to be cautious, so he stored away the talisman and decided to focus on finding a counter for it.

He still has the tower shop with him. He would look through it and, hopefully, find something that, even if they used a Divine-level talisman against him, he would survive.

After handling that, he decided to go around the first floor to see if he could find something useful.

Learning that the flame on the floor is a Primordial Flame made him happy. It means he is a step closer to forming his second flame core.

He killed Vhar’Zeth too fast before he could show what he was made of. If he had lived long enough, Kent would have seen the power of the Primordial Void Flame.

Although not the strongest void flame out there, it is still strong enough, and with Vhar’Zeth having more time on his side, he would have unleashed catastrophic damage in the end.

Kent knew that, and so he went for the kill when he had the chance. Now, it is his to claim.

His first core was formed from hell flame. If he manages to form his second core from a void flame, then who knows what he would be capable of when he gains void affinity?

[Core of the universe]

Meanwhile, at the core of the universe, Lady Universe is hosting a viewing session for a few cosmic beings. On a screen at the moment, Kent is flying around the first floor of the Void Temple.

Present are cosmic manifestations of the Enchantress with her long hair sweeping the very floor, Fate smoking on his pipe, Karma wearing a straw hat, and Destiny sucking on a lollipop.

The moment Kent entered the Void Temple, they came hoping to see him kick ass—well, Karma came to see his ass kicked.

"Looks like he had everything figured out," Enchantress said, looking at Kent flying around.

"Indeed." Lady Universe nodded, "This can be considered his first battle with a standard immortal, but he killed it in less than a minute."

"He just got lucky," Karma smirked, turning his gaze away from the display screen.

The others just shook their heads.

They know Karma is merely throwing a tantrum. He knew Kent was needed for what was coming, but because of old grudges, he couldn’t help but hope Kent at least got stabbed in the chest once.

Destiny removed the lollipop from her cherry lips, creating a silent pop.

"I mean, if a mortal killing a Root Immortal with two immortals in less than a minute can be considered luck, then I want all the luck of the cosmos."

A giggling sound filled the core of the universe. They are all aware Destiny has a thing against Karma. The two often clash over the smallest thing, so when she saw the chance present itself, she took it.

Now, Karma could only glare at her with a furious expression.

However, a sigh escaped his lips, and instead, he started to wait for when Kent would enter the second floor and clash with the second-floor temple master.
