Chapter 1310: The Fifth Floor - Haunted Village (1)
[4th Floor of the Planet Killer Dungeon]
It had already been close to a month since Vexthra, her sisters, and the legion entered the dungeon.
They planned to enter the 5th floor immediately, considering that they had already cleared the entirety of the Church of destruction the last time.
Unexpectedly, however, Unity fell into a trance-like state when a writing on a wall in the Church of Destruction triggered memories of her past life as the goddess of the hunt.
That made them wait for her to finish.
They could have left her and gone ahead to challenge the 5th floor, but Vexthra chose to wait for her, since Kent had told them the dungeon was somehow linked to Unity’s past.
So allowing her to be with them every step of the way was the best move on their part. In the end, she did come out of her trance stronger and ready for what lies ahead.
She claimed that she had awakened a skill for creating a powerful kind of arrow. She didn’t demonstrate how it works, but she promised to show them when they enter the 5th floor.
They are happy with that. After all, they are more than ready to kick some ass on the 5th and subsequent floors.
"Alright, gather around," Vexthra said, clapping gently. In no time, her sisters and the legion gathered around. Kaizo, of course, was in front of the line, already pumped for a good battle.
All of them had already reached the peak of the Heavenly Ascension stage, even without Kent upgrading them.
Of course, the Eternal Wrath Legion are immortals, so the moment Kent ascended to the High World, their cultivation recovered to the limit of a High World.
However, the Undead Legion, according to what happened the last time Kent upgraded them, their cultivation base only increased to the Spirit Lord stage.
However, since they were in a medium world, it remained at the Core Formation stage. But it caught up after the ascension.
But unlike the Eternal Wrath Legion, they had to cultivate to reach the Heavenly Ascension stage. They only recovered to the Spirit Lord stage.
So the fact that they have already reached the peak of the Heavenly Ascension stage shows the cultivation technique they are using, and their comprehension is through the roof.
Even Krex, the undying cockroach, has reached the Heavenly Ascension stage and is pumped to test his new abilities. The dungeons inside the tower aren’t much of a challenge to them anymore.
So they need a stronger challenge.
Watching them lined up with powerful auras around them, Vexthra knew the future of Kent’s harem and legion is in safe hands.
"Good," she nodded, "as we have already discussed, if the battle is not too big and dangerous, only a selected few would participate. This is to ensure we all test our abilities in a favourable environment."
They all nodded, already content with this plan.
They are too overpowered, so if they gang up on the enemy as they have done so far, they wouldn’t feel the pressure they desire. It is through that pressure that they can see their limits and work on transcending them.
Vexthra came up with this plan, of course.
"Since we are both in agreement, then we should be on our way," Vexthra opened the doorway to the 5th floor and entered. Her sisters followed, then Kaizo, and the legion followed.
The last to enter is Uncle Drew, Miryssa and the three demigods. They hid their aura and would be standing down like Vexthra.
This is not their battle, at least, not yet their battle.

[5th Floor - Haunted Village]
When Vexthra and her team emerged on the other side, they were shocked to appear in the middle of a road leading to a probably busy city, considering that in front of them, there were many carriages moving.
The load is clean and wide enough to allow a long journey.
Looking closely at the carriages moving away, Vexthra instantly see loads of injured folks moaning and groaning packed within. Some are even passed out, and others are near death’s door.
She is a god, so examining the injured, she found that something dark had caused it, judging by the dark, smoky energy emanating from the wounds.
The ordinary eye wouldn’t see such an aura, but she did, and that made her aware something insideious is amiss.
"Hey, you are blocking the way!" Suddenly, a voice came from behind, prompting Vexthra to become aware of where they were standing.
Turning around, they saw more carriages coming, each packed with injured people. They quickly spread out to let them pass.
Unity quickly used the chance to ask them a question.
Vexthra wasn’t the only one who saw the injured; they all did and realised something was definitely wrong.
"Uhm, may I know what is wrong?"
Beside the carriage, some guards, looking like they had fought harrowing battles, glared at her. Their armours are busted, and even their pale looks show they are not in the mood to talk.
However, Unity is or was the Goddess of Love for a reason. Her appearance and voice put them at ease.
One of them looked up to Unity and answered, "Something dark appeared in Lerma Village and started devouring beings there. We didn’t know for how long, but we received a distress signal 2 days ago, and by the time we got there, these were the only survivors."
The answer left Unity, and everyone was puzzled. "And where are you taking them?" Vexthra asked.
"Holix City. We don’t know what had infected the village, so the pope ordered that the survivors be brought there. Hopefully, with the holy power of the Goddess of Light, we will be able to purge this darkness."
After that, the guard moved along and left, running after his friends. Unity and the others watched them go with complex expressions.
They both knew the mission for this floor was probably in the village that the guard mentioned. However, the guard they spoke to is a peak Spirit Lord, yet his miserable appearance made it seem as if he had fought a god.
Also, while the rest saw nothing, Vexthra and the demigods could tell that something was seriously wrong with the guards and the people.
It was like they were alive and at the same time dead.
To the ordinary person, they seemed normal, but they saw much deeper. This made them realise that perhaps this mission would be a wild one.
"Something isn’t right," Kaizo, of all people, even sensed something was amiss. Although he is not dumb, aside from battle, he is much more dull to catch on to normal stuff.
His intelligence is geared more toward battles only. However, if even he saw through this new mission, then it is plain it isnt a normal one.
They all turned to Vexthra because she is in charge of the mission. Mostly, the mission details come to her the moment they appear on the dungeon floor, so they turned to her to see what was wrong with this particular mission.
Thankfully, at that very moment, the mission details appeared before her.
’Tower, share the details with everyone.’
She gave the order, and they all saw the message appear on a panel before them.
