Chapter 1320: Obsidian Void Stones

Chapter 1320: Obsidian Void Stones

Kent appeared inside his soul universe and quickly made his way toward the millions of soul spirits he had farmed in the massacre he committed a couple of weeks ago.

Killing an entire forest of beasts gave him millions of soul spirits that he can use to create weapons and other things.

When he arrived, Calix, his first soul warrior, was in seclusion inside a cave he had forged using soul spirits. It seems he had reached the bottleneck to break through to the realm of Root Immortal.

He didn’t want to disturb him since Calix becoming an immortal would help him soon.

Kent focused on the sea of soul spirits and began searching for the soul spirit of Nyssara, the second-floor temple master he had just killed.

From the message he received, he learned he had obtained a second soul warrior candidate. It was unexpected, considering this was the first time he had received such a message.

When he created Calix, he found out that despite having half a million soul spirits back then, only one qualified to become a soul warrior.

This was because of a golden core within the person’s soul spirit. He was the only one who had that golden core.

So when he used the soul warrior skill on him, he became the first soul warrior, a rather powerful warrior that Kent is counting on in the battles to come.

While he seems to be having a free run with the temple masters, he still has one major battle ahead of him that he would need all the strength he could muster, so having capable warriors with special aspects is perfect.

After a few minutes of looking around, he spotted her standing at the far back, her cold gaze fixed on him. If not because Kent sensed a chilling killing intent aimed at him, he wouldn’t have seen her this quickly.

However, it seems even in death she still hates him, and that could be reflected in how intense her gaze was.

"I mean, I did kill her, so the hate in her gaze is warranted." Kent smiles, "But it is a little silly to hold on to your anger and hatred even in death. You lost fair and square"

Kent summoned her, and she had no choice but to come. Inside the soul universe, Kent’s authority is undisputed. Even if he were to kill a celestial today, even if by sheer luck, they would have no choice but to heed his commands in their soul spirit form.

The moment he had a clear view of her, his focus landed on the golden core inside her body. Kent paid more attention to it, hoping to see the core more clearly.

He saw that Calix only had a golden core, and that was all. It was plain, circular and had only a few veins. However, Nyssara’s own had some runes on it — three to be exact.

"Hmmm," Kent used his hand to brush his hair, a suspicious look appearing on his face. He looked up and met Nyssara’s gaze.

"Hmm, strange." Kent walked slowly around her, making sure he took in everything about her. After two good minutes scrutinising her, Kent walked back.

It was like the more he scrutinised her, the more her intent to kill him intensified. She really hates him.

"Can you speak?" Kent asked, but no voice came from behind the mask she was wearing. Of course, even after a whole minute, she said nothing.

Clearly, she either can’t speak now or she can’t speak at all. Either way, Kent was happy he had found a suitable candidate to use in creating his second soul warrior.

"Although you were a Void Beast, when I am done with you, your past will be wiped, and your future as a Soul Warrior will begin. Be grateful you will finally have a life worth living."

Kent activated the [Soul Warrior] ability, and despite the hate and intensity in her eyes, the soul warrior creation process took hold of her.

Thousands of soul spirits started turning to orbs, entering her body. Soon, a cocoon was formed around her.

The next time she is revealed, she will become a terrifying soul warrior, one who can give Kent a good fight.

⟦Soul Warrior Transformation Process Started. Duration: 30 Days⟧

Kent said nothing and just exited his soul universe. He had already started the process, so the next step is to focus on the mission ahead.

He still has three temple masters to kill after all.

When he opened his eyes on the outside, he saw that Gaap was not around... Upon reaching out, he found out he was looking around the second floor to determine whether the shadows and darkness had a source.

There was a flame source on the first floor, so there is bound to be something else here, too. After all, this floor is made of shadows and darkness.

Kent stored away the dead body but took her storage pouch.

"Looks like the Void Beast Race still uses storage pouches instead of space rings," Kent said before looking into it. He was, after all, excited to see what this temple master had for him.

"Oh... what are these?"

Kent brought out three obsidian head-sized stones. His Heavenly Jade Eye scanned them and fed the information to the tower.

[Obsidian Void Stones]

[Grade: Immortal]

[Tier: Peak]

[Description: A condensed form of void essence transformed into obsidian rock. Useful for enhancing void energy and forging void-related weapons/treasures.]

"I don’t really have a use for them yet. However, when I gain void affinity, I am sure they will come in handy." Kent stored the three stones inside his space ring.

He is neither a blacksmith nor a void user at the moment, so he can only put them away. They will have their use when the time is right.

"Guess the talisman was something only the first-floor temple master had." Aside from the three void stones, there was nothing else in the pouch.

While disappointed that the first-floor boss had three different types of items, while this had only one, Kent became more relaxed, knowing his worry about the talisman he found in the first-floor temple master’s pouch might be unnecessary.

Since the second-floor temple master doesn’t have a talisman, it means the chances of the others having it are next to none.

After a few more hours, Gaap returned with good news.

Just like with the first floor, where there flame source, this floor has a darkness source where anyone with a darkness affinity can cultivate.

Kent has a Darkness elemental affinity. However, unlike his flame and ice elements, which had awakened, the darkness element remains dormant, just like his lightning element.

However, if he were to cultivate it inside the source of darkness, then there is a chance he might be able to awaken it and even evolve it to the Absolute stage.

Elemental source is extremely valuable in the universe. Any element source can be considered a universe-level treasure. However, they are rare to find.

Even in the immortal worlds, when a source has been discovered, thousands fight over it. Now, it seems Kent had secured not one, but two elemental sources.

"I suppose this is my good fortune. But I cant but wonder if the Void Beasts are this wealthy. I mean, an elemental source being used as a floor in a void temple. Isn’t that too much?"

Gaap transformed into his sword form, and Kent took hold of him. He gazed at the portal to the third floor and smiled.

Soon, he was gone.
