Chapter 1321: Kaelthar Bloodbound
Chapter 1321: Kaelthar Bloodbound
BANG BOOM CRASH
Kent was thrown back, crashing through a rather large rock. It was blasted into several bits and pieces. However, before he could stabilise himself, a terrible sabre, chained in blood and radiating intense bloodlust, arrived before him, aiming to break every bone in his body.
However, Kent braced with his sword and, gathering momentum, he hurled his body backwards, flipping countless times like an overqualified athlete.
The chain missed him but struck the sword, causing it to release a furious shout.
"Bastard, you are dead," Gaap vibrated, asking to be freed so he could teach the demon who attacked him a lesson or two. However, Kent held on and, using the soul map, he teleported, appearing several km away.
This gave him a breather to process this.
He had just arrived on the 3rd floor of the Void Temple when a dangerous-looking chain came out of nowhere, slamming into his body.
Naturally, he didn’t see that coming, considering he never expected the temple masters to be this shameless, attacking when he hadn’t yet walked through the door.
Of course, during the primordial era, he had encountered many such behaviours from the temple masters. Some loved to grave-camp, killing just as the challenger walked through the portal.
However, Kent also knew the portal opens at random intervals and at random places, and as such, not all of them can see or sense it before they can camp and wait.
So the fact that this temple master sensed him and attacked just as he arrived means he has a rather vast domain, one that allowed him to sense a wide area.
"Relax, Gaap, we will get him," Kent said, narrowing his gaze at the tall, demonic-looking man staring at him.
He is a horned humanoid with crimson energy coursing through his body. His skin, from the look of things, is hard like metal and probably has some defects that make it shift from brown to red every few seconds.
Around his waist, across his chest and dangling from his arm is a thick chain, one that seems to be made from blood. It is both dark and red, filled with so much power.
"You look ugly, bro," Gaap shouted, making Kent grin.
For Gaap to call someone ugly, it means they are indeed ugly. He himself is the ugliest as they come, so referring to someone as ugly is the last thing he should even say.
But since he said it, it’s probably true.
"He is right, though. You really are one ugly motherfucker. Killing you will be doing the universe a favour."
Kent didn’t know if the poor bastard understood the language they were speaking. It would be a shame if he didn’t get even a word they had just said. So to increase his shamelessness and make sure their taunts, yet factual words, are conveyed, he switched to the language all void beasts understood.
He switched to Aelthryn.
"What my companion and I were trying to say was that you are ugly and that you should just drop dead and do the universe a favour."
This time, the muscles on his face twitched, showing that the words struck a chord deep in his heart. His chains glowed red, and his Spirit Immortal strength flared, showing his three immortal qis.
Kent smirked and pointed his demonic sword at him, "I have killed worse, so come at me, you ugly motherfucker, your mama might have been disappointed giving birth to you."
As if Kent’s words had struck a deep wound, the third temple master, whose name came out empty even for the tower, attacked, manifesting a very large chain and hurling it at Kent.
It filled the entire air, extending and widening to several meters.
However, Kent merely made a casual slashing motion, and a thin arc exploded out, slicing through the chain like it was made of paper.
"Weak. If I were you, I would put some effort into actually trying to make me consider taking you seriously."
The temple master became even more enraged and started attacking even more aggressively. The more he attacked, the more enraged he became.
Perhaps because Kent was blocking all his attacks so effortlessly, he became super pissed. However, if he truly knew what was going through Kent’s mind, he would have exploded from sheer anger.
The more he attacked, the more it became plain to him that he wasn’t fighting someone at his level. Kent is far beyond his level.
Kent merely summoned 10,000 blood runes and used them to create a shield around him, and regardless of how powerful the temple master’s attacks were, it was like his shield was made of the strongest metal.
Even when he put in so much effort, adding all three immortal qis, he never even came close to creating a dent in the shield.
He is the bona fide master of the 3rd floor of the Void Temple. Many feared him simply because of his control over blood and the fact that his path, which is the slaughter path, made him very dangerous.
However, even with all that, he still couldn’t break the shield of someone who is far from becoming an immortal. He is a Spirit Immortal, someone five realms above Kent, yet a simple translucent red shield is holding him back.
After 30 minutes, Kent merely sighed and spoke using Aelthryn, "You clearly lack knowledge in the path you are walking. If you had paid enough attention to my shield, you would have known it came from the same source as you.
Yes, the shield is made from blood. Of course, while you can break any shield if you are strong enough, this particular shield is made from the True Blood Source, and as such, it is indestructible when used against someone wielding blood as their source of power.
All you just did was basically make my shield become much stronger. It took your kinetic energy from the continuous barrage you rained on the shield, which I have collected and stored in this sword.
This energy, of course, will be used to hurt you really badly. So, in simple terms, I will be using your own strength against you."
Kent deactivated the shield, and what followed were devastating sword slashes, the kind that filled the air with dozens of sword arcs.
The poor temple master, who may have just realised the blood path isn’t as simple as he thought, found himself bombarded by Kent’s endless sword attacks.
In no time, his entire body was littered with wounds, blood flowing like a fountain. Kent stopped and let the poor demon catch his breath.
When he started to recover, he resumed. The poor guy ran, attempting to be out of reach of the attacks. However, he quickly found out that Kent is much faster than he is.
In the end, after 2 hours of unrelenting attacks, he succumbed, dying in a pool of blood. He had tried really hard to hold on from dying, but Kent showed no mercy.
He knew the Void Beasts would never show anyone mercy, so he merely followed their principle.
[You have killed the third temple master, Kaelthar Bloodbound]
[You have received the third temple Key.]
Upon his death, Kent again decided to see what the bastard had in his pouch.
"Bastard, he had no pouch on him."
Kent stored away his body and started to look around to see if he would find the blood source.
