Chapter 1338: Leaving The Void Temple
Chapter 1338: Leaving The Void Temple
’Another one, huh?’
Kent smiled, seeing he had obtained yet again another Soul Warrior Candidate.
This means, aside from Calix and the one he was in the process of creating, he had obtained a third candidate who, from the look of things, would become a Core Immortal after the creation process.
’I wonder if he will maintain all four Immortal Qi after becoming a Soul Warrior,’ Kent said inwardly, his mind already looking forward to seeing what would become of his three Soul Warriors.
Vexthra already told him that when entering the Star Gateway, he cannot take anyone with him or summon anyone once he is inside.
This means he will not be able to talk to his wives and legion.
However, what if he doesn’t have to summon anyone—what if the summon is instead a technique he can use in a way it cannot be considered summoning?
In a way, the Soul Warriors are merely a technique linked to his Soul Universe, so since he won’t be barred from using his technique while inside the Star Gateway, it means he can summon his Soul Warriors to aid him while there.
The heavens know he will need them for what is coming.
Unlike the Void Temple that was compromised by his Void Legion, the Star Gateway isn’t going to be that simple. Kent had no idea how hard it would be, but Vexthra told him it would be extremely dangerous.
So for now, he was preparing for that. It was also why he planned on using the flame source he found on the first floor to create his second flame core and form more flame veins.
However, before that, he had to kill the other three beasts required to start the creation process of the portal that would take him much closer to the edge of the galaxy.
’I should handle one thing at a time then.’
Kent turned to Axiom, Kailan, and Kol... "Give me a few minutes to handle something important, then we can leave."
He entered the Soul Universe and quickly made his way to the location where the creation process would take place. The second Soul Warrior, currently in the process of being created, would take 30 days.
This time around, it seemed the process would take even longer. After he initiated the creation process, he saw it would take 42 days.
Naturally, that was a long time. That is a lot of time to wait, but while it should have taken him years to clear the void temple as expected, he knew 42 days were just around the corner.
Iinitial estimation was 5 years tops. But it had been less than 5 months since he entered the void forest, and now, he is leaving.
He soon left the Soul Universe and started preparing to leave the temple. A few minutes later, he was standing outside the red pagoda.
Once outside, he waved his hand, and five runes shaped like keys flew and merged with the pagoda. A few seconds later, the pagoda shrank and vanished into the Soul Universe.
Kent soon started making his way out of the Void Forest.

[Planet Gemini - Enkay’s POV]
Enkay is one of Uncle Drew’s Night Agents. In fact, he is the first of them and also the strongest. He had already reached the peak of the True Immortal stage and had formed seven Immortal Qi.
Uncle Drew and Nyx had poured a lot of resources into making him strong simply to send him to the Immortal Realm to look for the planet that Kaelith is being held on.
So for the past months, he had been travelling, moving from one planet to the next in search of the planet where the Divine Flame Roc race lived.
Today, finally, he had arrived on Planet Gemini, the homeworld of the divine flame rocs.
The moment the ship landed, he disembarked and swiftly made his way to the nearest information broker. Those people are most often found in inns, so he asked around and found a popular inn.
An hour later, he managed to secure the information he was after and left. Five hours later, he arrived atop a tall mountain where he could see a large city in the distance.
"How majestic," he muttered, looking at the buildings majestically lined and spaced. They were built using some of the precious jade stones and heavily protected and reinforced by formations and arrays.
Within this vast city, inside a small room where thick chains could be seen attached to hooks, sat Kaelith, his flesh sticking to his bones.
He had no idea his saviours were just a snap away.
For thousands of years now, not even water had touched his lips. However, as an immortal, death wasn’t something he expected, not when a casual beheading wouldn’t even kill him.
Enkay stood there for a couple of minutes before he tapped into the connection he shared with Uncle Drew.
"Master, I have located the asset."
Inside the Mountain Garden, Uncle Drew stood up and turned to Avotha, Lene, and Vargus... "Time to get to work."
They nodded and also stood up. However, just when they were about to move, Kent appeared inside the Mountain Garden.
"Are you guys going somewhere?" Kent asked.
When he left the Void Forest, he wanted to have some discussions with Thousand Blade, the immortal Lord who opened the seal for him.
However, he would it he returned to the immortal realm and hadn’t returned yet, so he decided to come to the tower and wait for him.
Kent knew now was the best time to connect with the Midnight Shadows. The earlier he gets hold of affairs there, the more he can use them to look for the threats he is aware would soon descend on the universe if they haven’t already.
"My Night Agent has just located the planet on which Kaelith is being held, so we are leaving to go rescue him."
"Oh, sounds like I came just on time." Kent smiled, then he asked, "Care if I tag along?"
"Why not?" They were going against immortals and demigods, perhaps even a few gods, but none of them looked afraid. Every last one of them, Uncle Drew included, wasn’t exactly an ordinary warrior.
Kent reached out to his connection with Vexthra and told her to be on standby.
If a god were to appear and make things hard for them, then Vexthra would come to their aid. Of course, there would be a backlash, but Vexthra already told him she could handle it.
"Let’s go."
Uncle Drew nodded and waved his hand, opening a hell portal. He walked through, and the demigods followed. Kent was last to enter.
When he entered the portal, it felt like he was back in hell again. It was super cold, which in a way was concerning. After all, there is this notion that hell is super hot. However, this time, it was cold—so cold, in fact, that it shouldn’t be normal.
However, it was only for a moment before he appeared atop the mountain Enkay was standing on. Uncle Drew introduced them, and then they got to work.
Avotha scanned the city and quickly located where Kaelith was held. However, his scan was sensed by a few demigods.
"There are a lot of immortals and five demigods. Three are much closer to us, so we have to engage them first. However, to get to Kaelith, we must also be ready to clash with quite a few immortals."
Kent nodded, then retrieved the Void Temple and summoned Axiom, Kailan, and Kol. He introduced them to the team, then continued with his plan.
"I will handle the rescue part of the mission with these three while you five take care of the demigods."
"Are you sure? There are Immortal Lords within their ranks," Lene asked, sounding protective of Kent. After all, he is only a Heavenly Ascension-stage cultivator, and Nara told her to keep her husband safe.
"Worry not, Lene. I have some ace up my sleeve."
She nodded, but she planned on keeping her focus on him.
"In that case, the moment I give the signal, you all should retreat. If things go sideways, don’t hesitate to make a run for it. I will be fine."
They nodded and left for the city, where a major battle awaited them.
