Chapter 1342: The Aftermath

By the time Kent returned to Gaiaville, Elaine and the other healers had already done what they could for Kaelith. All that was left was for him to heal mentally and wake up.

External wounds and other injuries had healed, so he just had to wake up. For that, not even Elaine knew when. But at least he is in safe hands now.

He is free from the shackles that bound him for years.

"He will be fine, Kent. Just give him time to heal," Vexthra said, holding Kent’s hand. They stood beside the bed where Kaelith was.

Hearing Vexthra’s words, Kent nodded. He knew at this point there was nothing he could do for him. The least he could do was rescue him. Later, if there was a chance, they would seek their revenge, and he promised to leave more heads rolling.

"Thanks, everyone, for helping save my friend," Kent said to Elaine and the other healers who worked to save Kaelith’s life.

"No need to thank us, Kent. He is family, just like everyone here," Elaine said, creating a green dome around Kaelith’s body. Kent nodded to her words.

After spending a few minutes there, he left with Vexthra, who said she had something to show him.

They arrived in the legion tower the next second, where the members of the legions are already training after breaking their limits and awakening their innate talents, and even going as far as boosting their powers.

"Looks like you guys had it good inside the dungeon," Kent said, sensing the changes in the legion. He couldn’t sense any change in Vexthra, since she is just too powerful for his senses to make sense of anything.

But Kaizo and the rest aren’t exactly that strong for him. However, what he sensed made him realise they had become much stronger than the last time he saw them.

When they arrived, Kent saw that some of the members of the legion were nowhere to be found. However, some cocoons stand on the side, each radiating an intense power.

There are three of them, to be exact.

"Are these what you wanted to show me?" Kent asked, stopping in front of one of the cocoons.

"Yes. After clearing the 5th and 6th floors, we had to return to the tower to use the rewards we had received before going back. However, when Sylara, Ankaara, and Elyndra took their Innate Talent Awakening pill, this happened.

I tried to figure out what was wrong, but I came up empty, so I was hoping you could shed some light on this for us."

Kaizo and the other members of the legion focused their attention on Kent to hear what he had to say. Hearing the worry in Vexthra’s tone, he focused his attention on the cocoon for a few minutes before a sigh escaped his lips.

"There is nothing to worry about, Vex. They are just awakening their Innate Bodies."

"Really?" A small smile appeared on Vexthra’s lips, hearing what Kent said.

"Yes. We both know that when it comes to Innate Talents, the Innate Body is the best and perhaps the most important one. It seems these three are awakening theirs, and well, it will take some time, so you can either leave them behind and continue climbing the dungeon floor or wait for them to complete their awakening."

Vexthra nodded... "Since they are well, then we will leave them behind. We have less than 11 years to clear every floor, so we will get on that."

"Whatever you say. Just know that they are in safe hands. In fact, when they wake up, they would become even more powerful and beautiful than before."

"Good to know." Vexthra smiled happily and gave Kent a wink. Then she turned to Kaizo and the legion. "Get ready, we will be heading back to the dungeon soon."

"Finally." Kaizo, of course, became happy to hear that. He had awakened a rather monstrous innate ability that he wanted to test in combat. So, hearing Vexthra’s words, he became happy.

Kent merely shook his head and left with Vexthra. They arrived in the Mountain Garden where Gaia and her minions were already waiting for him.

They were in the Guardian Tower when a little gossip tower informed them he was back. They dropped everything and came to the Mountain Garden to wait for him.

It took him 10 minutes to free himself from their tiny hands. Then he focused on Gaia, who, at this point, can be called the leader of the troublemakers.

"How are things going, Gaia?"

"Since Big Brother happens to have so many tower points now, I was able to locate the three remaining beasts whose fangs I need to start the teleportation formation. I have built a one-way teleportation gate to the forest where they could be found.

It costs 20 million tower points each, plus some additional fees; however, they will take you there."

Kent smiles and turns toward Axiom, Kailan, and Kol... "I have a mission for you guys."

They liked the sound of that, so they rushed to his side. When Vexthra set her sights on them, there was a deep hatred suddenly surfacing in her heart. However, it vanished the next second, almost as if she hadn’t felt that.

This made her furrow her brow, but she said nothing.

"Vex, these are my new friends. They will be joining you and the legion to clear the dungeon floors. But before that, I have a mission for them." Kent said, and Vexthra nodded, her expression calm and scrutinising.

"Of course, as you suspect, they are not from this universe," Kent said, noticing the look in Vexthra’s eyes. "Three eyes is called Axiom, then there is Kailan and Kol. They are Void Beasts."

"I suspected as much."

"Nice meeting you, goddess. And rest assured, we have no plans to hurt anyone that Master Chaos didn’t want us to hurt," Axiom said, a small evil smile playing on his lips.

"Of course, if you also have someone you want to hurt but you are limited by the heavens, we are your guys," Kol added, causing Vexthra’s eyes to twitch and turn to Kent.

The Chaos Dragon laughed and said, "They are Void Beasts, so compassion and sympathy aren’t in their nature. But rest assured, they know when to be Void Beasts and when to be humans."

Vexthra nodded, feeling some resonance of his Hatred Domain forming with Axiom and his pals. She said nothing, but the fact that she felt like her domain was connecting with the three Void Beasts made her start to think about some stuff.

"This is Gaia. She will take you to a place where you have to hunt and kill three beasts. Then cut their fangs and bring them to her. When you return, I will take you to the dungeon where you will be spending your time until I am ready to ascend to the Immortal World."

"We are ready for anything, Boss," Kailan said, and Kent nodded.

"I will play with you girls later. But first, I have to play with my wives," Kent said to Gaia and her minions before teleporting away with Vexthra.

The moment they appeared inside the garden, Vexthra stripped naked, showing her flawless goddess body.
