Chapter 1341: Going Out With A Bang
Chapter 1341: Going Out With A Bang
The battle lasted for just 4 minutes and 20 seconds. However, within those precious minutes, Kent’s team managed to kill a demigod, 7 Immortal Lords, 23 Immortal Monarchs, and 452 others.
The soul explosion did most of the killing. However, they were merely within the ranks of True Immortals to Spirit Immortals. But even so, they added to the count.
The high-ranking immortals were killed by Uncle Drew, Enkay, and the Void Beasts.
However, losing a demigod and two others who were beaten to the brink of death shows Kent’s team is solid. They had fewer than ten members, but they managed to invade an entire city filled with immortal warriors and leave unscathed.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t Avotha who got the kill but rather Lene.
Turns out the demigod Avotha picked wasn’t so easy after all. He has a rather insidious aspect which allows him to heal much faster than he should. So whenever Avotha got close to ending him, his aspect kicks in.
Thankfully, he managed to hold him back long enough for Kent to rescue Kaelith. However, the moment the order was given, they retreated and vanished into the tower.
Even Axiom, Kol, and Kailan felt the connection to the tower, and so they left the moment Kent gave the order.
However, Kent didn’t want to leave just like that.
Tower had already informed him that the city is a military city where only some of the warriors of the Divine Flame Roc race live. The true homeworld of the Flame Rocs is unknown.
So, having this information and seeing what they did to Kaelith, even if he had to risk his life and precious soul spirits, he would make them pay in the thousands.
So just when he sensed the presence of the two new demigods, he released 30,000 soul spirits and spread them within an 80,000 km radius. That is about half the city.
Three seconds after his team left, two new demigods appeared. Kent teleported and appeared in the air, meeting their gaze with the same indifference he had when he met any enemy far stronger than him.
Seeing the damage caused, the two demigods, who appear far more deadly than the three they initially clashed with, release their auras, hoping to send Kent crashing down to the ground. However, to their shock, Kent remains in the air, unaffected.
"It would be wise to stop behaving like a cheated husband. Your aura won’t work on me, so save your strength for later... You are going to need it."
As if to prove his point, Kent took a step forward, showing the pressure being released by the two demigods had no effect on him.
"Now that I’ve got that out of the way, I want you to send a message to Kaelith’s father or whoever the idiot is that dares to imprison my friend in the first place.
Of course, you can try to stop me, but then you should also know that with a mere thought, all these soul spirits will explode, and while you two can survive, ask yourself how many others would be lucky."
A frown appeared on the faces of the two demigods. However, while they would love to take Kent’s head off his body, they knew such an explosion would indeed kill a lot of their people.
So they made no such move.
"That is what I thought," Kent smirked, then he said, "Tell that idiot that I, Kent Madson, have taken him as my enemy, that one day — soon — I will come for his head for what he did to my friend Kaelith.
Tell him to wash his neck and wait because until he is dead, my hatred for your race would not be satiated, and let me tell you, when I take you as my enemy, I make sure you suffer. So if you don’t want the Flame Roc race to suffer, you would do well to pass my message."
It is ironic and a bit unbelievable to think a mere mortal would be commanding two demigods to pass a threatening message to a god who had already reached the rank of a True God.
However, Kent had indeed risked his life for this moment, and now, looking at their faces, he knew they would pass his message along, or at least they made it look like they would.
"And what if we didn’t want to? What if we just capture you and take you to him?" One of the demigods asked, his aura surrounding Kent.
While his pressure did nothing to him, he knew his aura could at least catch Kent and render him immobile.
However, instead of panicking, Kent merely smiled...
"You know, a wise man once said, ’words without action are pointless.’ So allow me to give you the push you need to deliver my message."
Kent raised his hand, and before anyone could rush forward to stop him, he made his move. He snapped his finger.
"NOOOOOO!"
One of the demigods screams, his voice hoarse. However, half of the city was suddenly engulfed in white light. What followed were screams of pain and anguish that came from every direction, showing just how devastating the attack was.
One of the demigods moved, his hand shooting toward Kent’s neck. However, just before he could get hold of him, his body turned to smoke and vanished, but not before leaving one last line.
"Hasta la vista, bitches."
When the light cleared, thousands of immortals were either dead or screaming, their souls wounded in more than one place. Even the demigods that were beaten to near death felt the soul attack.
Kent left them with one last bang, and for that, they would do everything in their power to locate and get revenge. However, even if they did find him, they would have to travel to a high world to face him.
But doing so would just be sending themselves to the slaughterhouse since Kent wouldn’t let even a single one of them walk out alive.
Back inside the tower, Kent appeared inside the Mountain Garden, his expression pale. He fell to his knees, panting for breath.
Lene and Uncle Drew rush to his side, making sure he is alright.
He had just survived the combined assault of two demigods, not because he was capable, but because of a treasure he purchased from the tower.
It cost him 5 billion tower points; however, with the ability to withstand an attack from even a god for a minute and a half, Kent perfectly used it to his advantage to get what he wanted.
He succeeded in ensuring his message was delivered by giving them the right push. However, with everything good, there is a huge price to pay. Thankfully, he prepared in advance.
He retrieved a liquid from a small jade bottle and swallowed it, then retrieved a pill and swallowed that too. After about ten minutes, his pale expression finally started to regain colour.
"I am fine. But where is Kaelith?" he asked.
By the time he returned, Kaelith was already taken away to Gaiaville, where Elaine and the other healers inside the Tower Cities were diligently healing all wounds on his body.
They put him in an induced coma to make the healing process less painful for him.
After learning where Vexthra had taken Kaelith, Kent teleported there to make sure his friend was safe... after suffering for thousands of years.
