Chapter 1355: The Seventh Floor - GladiaDom (3)
If there is anything both beautiful and dangerous, then it is the sight of Kaizo bathed in golden lightning descending from the clouds like a collapsing mountain.
Every last Dark Elf scattered, considering the kind of danger falling down on them.
BOOOOMMMM
Kaizo landed hard, and with it, a large part of the city cracked and crumbled, sending dust and a shockwave everywhere.
However, before the dust settled, a powerful roar came from the air, followed by the silhouette of a giant dragon moving through the clouds. Then, powerful pressure descended as a colossal serpent emerged from the cloud.
Both the dragon and the serpent descended, and everyone felt their bodies pressed down. Zareth stood on the dragon’s back, his hand folded behind him, as flames and destruction rocked the city.
Wraiths of various shapes and sizes also appeared, their wailing sounds sending chills down everyone’s spines.
Kaizo came with a thunderous boom, and Zareth came with a bone-crushing pressure. Shade King Nykali, however, descended with horror. But he wasn’t the only one.
When Veera appeared, she was followed by over a thousand angels and demons. Before she met Kent, she had only undead demons under her command. However, after the battle in the Paragon Universe, she got thousands of angels.
Naturally, Kent taught her quality over quantity, so she went all in and, using many of the dead bodies she had collected in the paragon universe, she created a superior undead army, each a terror to run from.
So when she appeared with 1200 undead, chaos broke out everywhere.
The Dark Elves weren’t prepared for this kind of assault. They knew the Elves wouldn’t dare attack them this boldly. So when Kaizo and his team came in hard, they were quickly disorganised—something Kaizo aimed for.
Before they could form a counter, the battle had already become chaotic, leaving this disorganized.
"Lady Selene and Lady Vari, please get to work," Kaizo said before he jumped back into battle. Everywhere he passed, bodies kept exploding, as if made of ice.
"Let’s go, dear," Vari took Selene’s hand, and they vanished into the shadows. Sylara, Neomi, Yi Lai, and Camilla also entered combat mode and started killing.
They came to rescue someone precious to their sister, so they weren’t holding back their strength, not even for a moment.
Meanwhile, in the underground prison, Dia sat on the same spot, a smug smile playing on her lips. She didn’t know who was brave enough to attack the Dark Elves’ main headquarters, but she is happy it is happening.
The lady who came to inform her of their plan for her the next day now looks restless with every explosion and scream, causing her body to twitch.
She suddenly retrieved a communication jade and contacted someone. "What is going on up there?"
"We are under attack by unknown assailants. Lord Pilio wants all hands on deck, so kill that bitch and get your ass over here."
"Okay, General."
The moment she put away her communication jade, a dagger appeared in her hands, and she started walking toward Dia.
"So even that loser seems restless, even calling all hands on deck, huh. I suppose I would be dying knowing you would follow soon enough," Dia said with a smile.
As someone who had fought many harrowing battles, she knew the battle happening above ground was more than the Dark Elves were making it look.
The command given to the lady is just too urgent for her to try to delay her killing, considering she wanted Dia dead for years now.
"Killing you is everything I ever wanted. So even though I wouldn’t get to cut your body piece by piece, piercing your eye, then through to your brain would do the trick,"
She stopped before Dia, who held a smile on her face. In her mind, after this battle, the Dark Elves would have something more to worry about than the rebel force.
"Die, bitch." Her dagger moved toward Dia’s eye, aiming to kill her quickly so she could go back out there and aid her king.
However, just when the dagger was mere inches away, a deadly scythe appeared, and its sharp blades pressed against her throat...
"I am afraid you cannot kill her." Vari’s sweet voice entered her ear before the scythe moved, taking her head off.
Dia froze in shock, unsure of how to process what had just happened.
"As expected of Unity’s sister, she is both beautiful and brave," Selene said, walking toward Dia with a smile playing on her lips.
"Hi, my name is Selene, and this is my sister Vari. We have been sent to save you." Without giving her the chance to even respond, Selene clenched the chain around her arm.
Her palm glowed silver; then, like metal plastic, the chain melted, freeing her arms. She then melted the ones binding her legs.
"Who sent you?" Dia asked.
"Even if we tell you, you are not going to believe us," Vari said, sheathing her scythe on her back...
"Try me," Dia said, dual curved blades appearing in her firm grip.
Selene looked at Vari, who shrugged. "Well, your sister from your past life sent us."
Dia furrowed her brow, staring between Selene and Vari. A few seconds later, she sighed. "You are right, I don’t believe you. But thank you for saving me," Dia said and started to move.
"Huh, do you have somewhere else to be?" Vari asked.
"Yes. I want that bastard dead, so now that I am within the city, which is under attack, if I don’t take advantage of it, then I might as well offer my head to them."
"Oh, beautiful, brave, and resourceful." Selene giggled, feeling rather excited. "You and I are going to be best friends."
She grabbed Dia’s hand, and they sped off, leaving Vari behind. She shook her head. "Poor soul. Selene is going to corrupt her innocent mind."
After letting out a chuckle, she also left. It seems the rescue mission has now turned into babysitting. If what Dia wanted was to kill the King of the Dark Elves, then that is what they are going to help her do.
Thankfully, Kaizo and the others are doing better than one would hope. With Veera and Nykali joining the battle with all their undead and wraiths, the pressure was crashing down hard on the dark elves.
After all, every last wraith under Nykali’s command and every undead under Veera’s command are all at the peak of the Heavenly Ascension stage.
Selene led Dia through the chaotic battlefield, cutting down every Dark Elf they met. Their target is hiding in a building several km away from the main battlefield.
He was issuing commands while seated comfortably on his throne, unaware that three lethal beauties were coming after him.
"Where is Zonu?" a Dark Elf with brown hair and deep red eyes asked, his fist thundering on the arm of his throne. His name is Pilio, the Dark Elf King, who was responsible for the death of millions of Elves.
Another Dark Elf standing not far from him trembled, bowing toward him. "My lord, I have already informed her of the situation, so I am sure she is on her way here as we speak."
"PILIO, GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE AND ACCEPT YOUR DEATH!"
Before Pilio could respond to his subordinate’s words, a chilling female voice called from the outside, causing everyone to go on high alert.
