Chapter 1356: The Seventh Floor - GladiaDom (4)

Every last Dark Elf in the building who heard the challenging command recognised whose voice it was. Many heard it after many encounters with her that ended with them running for their lives or her making a quick escape.

Others also heard her voice when she became their prisoner three days ago, through the gory torture they inflicted on her.

So, the moment Dia’s commanding, angry voice spread through the mansion, they knew what was about to happen.

Dozens rushed from the building, appearing outside with their weapons drawn. However, when they set their sights on two other ladies standing beside Dia, they held back.

Selene stood beside Dia, her sword already radiating an intense sword aura mixed with Celestial essence. Although she cannot wield Celestial essence just yet, her bloodline has about 0.2% Celestial qi that she can use.

At the moment, she was using about 0.001% of it, but that alone is evident in the deadly aura around her. Selene may have started out as someone with limited potential; however, she is a monster now.

Her power is enough to kill even a True Immortal if she has a sure chance to unleash just one sword attack. So she is a danger that cannot be ignored.

Vari, on the other hand, stood calmly, her scythe resting on her shoulder as she locked gazes with the Dark Elves now standing, their weapons drawn and ready to kill the one lady who had been a nuisance and thorn on their side for years.

"Although I have never seen this Pilio guy before, looking at your average faces, I believe his ugly ass is still hiding inside like a chick," Selene said, then she pointed her sword at the entrance of the mansion.

"I give to the count of three. If you don’t come out, I will cut this mansion in half."

"One."

The faces of the Dark Elves surrounding Selene, Vari, and Dia changed, anger and irritation appearing. They hate that a random person was just disrespecting their King, as if he meant nothing to her.

Three of them even charged forward, but before they could take three steps, Vari was already in motion, her deadly scythe cutting their heads off.

"Two."

It happened so fast that, the moment the move was made, the outcome of the battle was determined. It was just so sudden and rather anticlimactic.

"Three—"

Just when Selene counted three and was about to unleash her sword attack, five people appeared, Pilio leading them. His red eyes shone brighter, a wave of anger and evil intent filling his face.

"Why won’t you just die?" Pilio asked, but before he could swallow his breath, Dia moved, and he was singled out. She moved with a rather deadly speed, catching Pilio off guard.

The attack was aimed at his neck, but he managed to defend himself, and he even tried to counter. However, Dia hasn’t been training for years merely to lose to him in under a second.

She aimed to kill, so she went all in from the start, and the outcome soon revealed itself.

The others tried to go to their king’s aid; however, Vari and Selene blocked them.

"There are only two ways this plays out," Selene said, blocking the path of seven Dark Elves while Vari took eight. "It is either you run or die. However, running also means you must outrun my sister here."

She attacked the next second, giving them no chance to even decide on what they wanted. Of course, even if they chose to retreat, Vari is fast enough to take them all out.

The Dark Elves had killed millions of Elves, destroyed their homes, and made sure to make it so that even if one day they were gone, the vibrant elven home would be no more.

Naturally, that played out very well. However, what they never expected was a third party interfering in their battle that had lasted for thousands of years.

Dia had tried many times, lost many men in an attempt to kill Pilio, but she never succeeded. Today, she had finally gotten that chance. Thankfully, those backing her are not so simple at all.

On Kaizo’s side of the battlefield, thousands had already died.

Vari informed him and the others of Dia’s plan, so using the extended time they have, they are making sure every minute counts.

The plan was to attack, rescue Dia, and escape. However, given how things are going, they seem intent on conquering the entire city, which has already fallen into ruin.

Veera was using her necromancy abilities to the max, making sure every last Dark Elf that was killed by her undead or teammates rose up and joined the battle.

The more dead bodies appearing on the battlefield, the better for her.

---

[30 minutes later]

"Ha... ha... ha," Pilio panted, his entire body littered with cuts so grim he would need the strongest healer to save him.

The battle had only been going on for half an hour. However, he was beaten beyond recognition. If one were to say this person, now bleeding all over, is the Dark Elf King, many would find it ridiculous.

He had been reduced to a sorrowful state.

The aides whom he had relied on are all dead. Selene and Vari wasted no time killing every last one of them. Even those hidden were slaughtered by Vari, who likes to be thorough.

So, no help would be coming from anywhere. This also means that had it not been for his aides, Dia would have long succeeded in killing him.

She pointed one of her curved swords at him. "I was seven when I saw you slit my father’s throat with a broad smile on your face. At ten years old, I witnessed how you and your men violated my mother and sisters until they stopped breathing."

A tear fell from Dia’s eyes, but she held on to her resolve. "I became a cultivator because of you. I spent years training because I promised myself and my family that I would be the one to behead you.

Today, I finally have that chance. Today, I get to look down on you and stomp on your face."

BANG

Dia’s foot shot forward and landed a powerful kick on Pilio’s face, sending him crashing into a stone that hadn’t yet turned to powder. It exploded, sending debris flying everywhere.

COUGH COUGH

He coughed blood, his face showing the look of pain and fatigue.

"Today, I will behead you and hang your head at the gate of the city as a replacement for all the innocents you have killed.

But I won’t stop there. I will make sure your body is tossed into the devil’s maw, making sure even when in hell, you will never know peace."

With a few more drops of tears rolling down her face, she raised her sword and, with one fluid motion, Pilio’s head flew into the air and landed with a thud.

Dia dropped to the ground, tears streaming from her eyes. Soon, sobs entered.

She had started cultivating 1000+ years ago. In those precious years, she had never once rested. Everything she did all these years was so she could kill Pilio.

One could say the pain of losing her family and loved ones turned her bitter and vengeful. Thankfully, this time, she managed to kill her heart demon and freed herself.

Selene and Vari surrounded her and started consoling her.

Soon, the battle in the city came to an end, with every last Dark Elf slaughtered.
