Chapter 1362: Enemies Meet
Chapter 1362: Enemies Meet
Selene always has a way to turn serious, dull moments into fun. One can even say she is the heart of the Chaos Dragon Harem.
While she was extremely shameless, her emotional intelligence is very high. She always made her sisters laugh, so when the situation turned a bit dull now, she made her move, and the result was now plain as day.
She lightened the mood for Dia.
During the Primordial Era, when she learned what had happened to Artemis, she became so angry that until the last second before she died, all she knew was hatred.
This followed her through the many lives she had lived. Because she was Kent’s heart demon, she followed him throughout the 13 lives.
In all those lives, there was always a reason that led her to hate Kent. Not even once did she have the chance to hear Kent’s side of the story. She always hated him, regardless of the kind of person she was.
However, now she had learned what actually happened. And while she would love to hate and blame Kent as a way to make herself feel angry, she knew it wasn’t really his fault.
Chaos had just lost his lover and was extremely angry, so he decided not to give a space in his heart to Artemis. However, she didn’t listen, and in her attempt to prove herself to him, she died.
So if anything, it was Unity’s fault for being persistent. However, there are also the issues of the unexpected. This happens when you least expect it to.
But now, she seems to blame herself for being selfish.
"I can’t believe I am saying this, but big sister, if apologies don’t work, use your big ass to win him over. Kent has a weakness for boobs and butts."
"Artemis—I mean Unity—no need to be shameless like her," Dia blushes, using her hand to cover her face.
"I am not offended, Dia..." Selene said with her shoulders held high. Vexthra shook her head and turned to Dia.
’Well, if Alina weren’t here, she would hold the card for the biggest butt. Too bad she is afraid to meet Kent.’
She sighed, and then she decided to reveal something about her past.
"I was just like you, Dia. I also had a sister... she was actually my twin sister." Unity and the rest of her sisters inside Unity’s love space grew quiet, their attention turning to her.
They had asked her many times about her life before becoming a god, but she always found a way to change the topic. Not even the sweet Unity managed to get to her. So, for her to start to reveal her past, they all wanted to hear it.
"Her name was Love, a very beautiful soul whose nature and behaviour are just like Unity. She is so sweet, in fact, that whenever we got into trouble, just a smile from her would get us out of it.
You can even say I was the rebel and used her as my meatshield." She smiled, recalling all the troubles she had gotten her sister into.
"We were inseparable to the point that we all wanted to comprehend the same divinity and become goddesses wielding the same divinity. However, we never got to be that because some bastard took her from me.
When she died, I became so angry that my hatred and resentment took over my body, mind, soul, and even my divinity.
I was supposed to become the goddess of love and passion with my sister, but her death made me the goddess of hatred and resentment.
I let the pain of losing her get to me, and instead of honouring her memory by becoming the best version of myself, I became this..." A tear fell from Vexthra’s eye as her brave mask shattered.
Seeing this, her sisters couldn’t hold back their tears either.
"Big sister, don’t say that. You are an amazing soul. Regardless of who you are, we love you and would always love you, so don’t say that." Unity said, planting a kiss on her forehead.
Vexthra seems to hate who she has become. She hates the kind of god she has become. She was supposed to be somebody else, yet she had become this due to pain and hatred.
That is painful to hear since now that she has become a goddess and even comprehended her own law, there is no turning back.
She cannot turn the clock back.
However, if she hates her divinity that much, then does that mean she has always hated herself?
"Don’t worry, girls, I am fine. I have long made peace with myself, so there is nothing to worry about. However, the point I am making here is that because of my hatred toward my sister’s killer, I have formed my own heart demon." She paused and put on a stern face.
"You ladies are forbidden from saying anything to Kent. He can never know of this. However, the truth is, I have a heart demon, and he is the God of Alchemy, my sister’s killer.
However, unlike Dia’s effect on Kent, my heart demon makes it impossible for me to kill him, so you can say the reason why I wanted Kent to become strong is to help me kill him.
Because of my hatred, I became somebody else. I have also narrowly escaped death because of a heart demon. However, Kent had no such chance... He had suffered for many years because he never had the chance to explain his side of the story.
So I think he should be given the chance to tell his side of the story."
Vexthra chuckled. "Trust me, hatred is a complex emotion. It has a way of destroying everything about you and everything around you.
So embrace this life you have and live it on your own terms. It is not too late to turn things around." Vexthra sighs and then smiles.
She is the Goddess of Hatred and Resentment, so when it comes to hate, she knows everything about it. She understood how it can affect a person, even to the point of destroying them.
So she hopes Dia would do the right thing. This is both to save herself and, hopefully, save Kent.
Dia took a deep breath and then stood up. "I think I am ready."
Vexthra nodded. She is happy this is finally happening...
"Tower, take her away."
A second later, Dia vanished from Unity’s love space. "Don’t worry, she will be fine," Vexthra said, taking Unity’s hand.

Inside the Sword Tower, Kent decided to handle the issue with Dia first before addressing other matters. He has finally collected the items for the portal, so he basically has some time to kill before it is ready.
The moment he rescues Elina, he will ascend, considering he is more than qualified now to take that step. Elina is the only thing holding him back now.
A few minutes after he appeared, another presence entered the tower. Kent’s hand clenched his chest, feeling a pain come from deep within his soul.
’Ah, I guess things are more difficult than I thought,’ he said inwardly. Then, taking a deep breath, he suppressed the pain. He then put on a happy expression and turned to face Dia.
"I suppose you are Dia, or do you prefer I call you Hera?"
Dia stood frozen, stunned for a few minutes before she responded with a forced smile. "Dia is fine."
"Well, Dia, you can call me Kent... Kent Madson."
