Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1363: Apologies

Chapter 1363: Apologies

Dia and Kent stood facing each other with unblinking expressions for a few seconds before Kent walked toward her and took her hand.

Dia made no attempt to resist. She came to apologise, so she allowed Kent to hold her. Soon, they began floating up.

A few seconds later, they stopped at the rounded end of the hilt of the Sword of Enlightenment. This allowed them to see the vast and beautiful expanse of the Sword Tower.

"I hope you are not afraid of heights," Kent said, a small smile playing on his lips.

"I am fine. It is not like I will die if I were to fall now."

"Good then." Kent allowed the wind to blow past them.

The curse had already been triggered. However, he sensed something else that made him wonder many things. But before diving into that, he first had something to say to Dia.

"Vexthra told me about you and what I have caused you—"

Before Kent could get into anything, Dia stopped him. "You don’t have to apologise, Kent. I have already learned what happened, and I know I was at fault — I am at fault."

Kent smiled. "That is the thing, Dia. I believe it was my fault Artemis died. It is indeed true that I was grieving back then. I had just lost someone dear to me at the hands of the forsaken race, so I was extremely angry.

However, while I should have been the kind of person my beloved wanted me to be, I became emotionless and detached. She wanted me to be happy and live an empathetic life. However, a second after she died, I became the old me... I became cold and ruthless,

Artemis came into my life with something unique, something I should have held dear.

But instead of accepting her, I became distant and even paid no attention to her. She just wanted to be my friend, but I ignored her.

So it was a fault. If I had just opened a small part of my heart and accepted her, maybe she wouldn’t have died. And if she had never died, you wouldn’t have become who you became."

"Maybe," Dia said, turning to face Kent. "Isn’t that a funny word. Maybe, what if... these are words we only speak when bad things happen.

Maybe if you had accepted Artemis, she wouldn’t have died. However, you seem to have forgotten something.

Back then, you were also grieving, and while it would have been nice to be a bit more accommodating, you weren’t in the right frame of mind.

But I was. I was perfectly fine. I knew what had happened. I heard what these people did. However, instead of going after them, I came after you instead. I tapped into my hatred and did many despicable things just to get to you.

I had the chance to take a step back. I had the chance to stop and grieve like the rest of my family. However, I did the opposite. I did to others what those people did to me. I killed innocents, leaving their families grieving them also.

And for what? Just to kill the one person who didn’t deserve any of this? I really am sorry, Kent. If I had known, maybe I would have done the opposite. I would have grieved like everybody else." Dia’s tears began to roll down her face.

However, Kent moved closer and wiped them.

"I am fine, Dia. I don’t blame you for anything, so you shouldn’t blame yourself." He used his thumb to wipe a new teardrop.

Dia reeled into her emotions and went in for a hug, her face pressed against his shoulder...

"Bad things happen to innocent people all the time. So don’t blame yourself. If anything, be grateful for this new life you have and live it to the max.

Trust me, inside the Tower, you will get anything you need for free. You will be safe here and even get to live with your sister and the girls."

Kent isn’t angry that her presence has triggered the curse. If anything, he is happy he wouldn’t have to kill her, since they seem to be on the same page.

Dia was too caught up in her emotions to make a sound. However, she managed to nod.

"Also, sorry about the claw through the heart part, and perhaps the other times I have killed you." Kent ended with a little laugh, making Dia smile. She pulled her head back and stared at his handsome face.

"I am mad about that part. I can only imagine how painful that was..." She smiled, then added, "I actually knew since I have all my memories back. It was painful like hell."

Kent cupped her cheek. "In my defence, you also tried to kill me and even came this close to killing me. So I call it self-defence."

Dia smirked. "I guess you are right. But now that you said it, I can only imagine how painful that would have been."

"I guess we will never know."

"I guess so too."

They stared at each other for a few seconds before bursting out in laughter. Kent turned her around and hugged her from behind.

He opened the soul map and linked it to Dia.

"How typical," she muttered, watching Unity and the rest of her sisters spying on them. "Artemis had always been a nosy kid." She smiled.

"She is sweet, though," Kent said, and Dia nodded.

"That she is. Everybody loves her, something she always used to get me in trouble. Such a bitch."

Dia smiled, feeling happy she managed to get things sorted out with Kent. It wasn’t awkward like she had expected.

Far in the distance, hidden behind the Sword World building, Vexthra, Unity, Selene, and Elaine looked toward Kent and Dia with satisfied smiles on their faces.

"If I had known, I would have made Dia wear a thin gown. That would have allowed Kent’s dick to fall perfectly between her butts." Selene said, a bit pained now that she was seeing the position Kent and Dia were in.

"Sorry, Selene, your time will come," Vexthra consoled her. Then she turned to Unity, "She is fine, so I guess we have overstayed our welcome. Knowing Kent, despite the tower’s assistance, he might have already seen us."

"Yeah, we should go. The longer we stay, the more creepy we become."

"Too bad with the clothes," Selene said. "I will plan better next time and make sure their second date goes well."

"Selene, get your head out of your ass. This is not a date." Elaine landed a knock on Selene’s head before grabbing her. The next second, they were inside the love garden in the harem tower.

And as if the heavens were showing mercy on her, the moment they arrived, Miryssa woke up, her body still dirty from the marathon she had with Kent.

When she sensed Selene’s presence, she ran and hid inside the bathroom. However, now that she was in the harem, the shameless sword saintess merely teleported into the bathroom.

Miryssa regretted the day she met Selene. However, now that she knew what Selene was capable of, she could only look forward to when a different prey would fall into her hands.

She may be a goddess, but even she is afraid of what Selene is capable of using merely her words.

But she is happy to have finally become Kent’s wife. This means she would receive her True Name. But even if she doesn’t have some, Kent can just give her one as he did with Vexthra.
