Chapter 1364: Call Me Mother-In-Law
Chapter 1364: Call Me Mother-In-Law
"This place is beautiful," Dia said, Kent holding her hand as they walked down the street of Gaiaville. As they pass by, the humans and the others living there keep staring at them with happy expressions.
Kent is like a god to them, so seeing him walk around with a beauty made them happy for him.
After their emotional heart-to-heart, Kent decided to show her around the tower.
Their first stop was Gaiaville, where he showed her all the beautiful stuff Gaia and her sisters built. As someone born into a war-torn world, she had never seen a peaceful, beautiful place like the one in the tower.
So she was mesmerized by it all.
It is like a fantasy to her and everyone from her world.
But her surprise didn’t end there. Kent took her to Blood City, then to the floating city where the Sky Foxes live, before finally taking her to Nature, where the Elves from his mom’s world and her world live now.
They have the highest population in all 4 cities. Of course, some of the humans, Sky Foxes, and even the Bloodveins had started dating, so there are mixed races in the cities they had visited.
In a couple of years, hybrid beings would start popping up in the tower cities.
The idea is to build a functioning society in the tower and ensure life is as peaceful and simple as possible.
"So, everyone living here doesn’t have to pay for anything. You basically provide for them," Dia asked, stopping under a tree that had created a canopy of shade. "How are you financing everything?"
Kent smiled and started leading her away as he answered her question, "The idea is to make sure everyone has everything, of course. However, I have made it so the more people that live here, the more income I earn from their presence."
Dia looked at Kent for a few seconds and smiled, "That is bullshit, and you know it. However, since you don’t want to tell me, I wouldn’t insist. Just know that my people and I are eternally grateful."
"No need for that. Like I said, the more people living here, the better for all of us. For now, it will depend on how much they want to coexist with everyone here."
"They will adapt, Kent. We have adapted for years, so I know they will too now that we have peace and quiet."
Kent nodded to her words.
Right now, he has done his part by making sure there is a place to accommodate them. He had already made them as comfortable as they could be.
Of course, there is the part where her people, who had been at war for many years, would learn to live with the peaceful beings living in the various cities.
There will be fights and conflicts; however, as long as there is order in the end, he wouldn’t mind. Gaia had prepared for everything, so he knew even if there was a major battle between the various races, the damage would be minimal.
"Don’t worry, Dia, they would be fine. Now, why don’t we go see someone very special to me?" They soon headed deeper into the city.
A few minutes later, they appeared in front of a small mansion surrounded by a beautiful garden. Inside one of the gardens, a blue-haired beauty sat drinking tea.
"Mom, guess who is back?" Kent said, walking into the garden with Dia still in his arms. Hearing him call the beautiful lady Mom made her raise her brow a bit.
"Kent, and here I thought you had forgotten I exist." Lady Enyo said, her expression brightening. When she turned and met Dia’s gaze, her smile bloomed.
"I have been busy, Mom. It is not easy running four big cities and still finding time to handle other stuff." Kent laughed, then he took the tea from his mother and sipped it.
She didn’t mind him drinking her tea. Kent is her world, so allowing him to behave mischievously is something she doesn’t mind.
"Come here, darling," Lady Enyo, of course, took Dia’s hand and pulled her into a hug. She then asked Kent a question, "Are you sure you didn’t come because you were spending ’quality’ time with your women?"
"Haha, Mom, very funny. But no, I was busy, though I have to say, the past couple of days had been me teaching a goddess her place and putting her to bed, if you know what I mean."
Lady Enyo smirked and muttered, "Shameless pervert."
She turned to Dia, "What is your name, darling?"
"Dia,"
"Well, Dia, I am Lady Enyo, but you can just call me Mother-in-Law."
Dia smiled innocently hearing what Lady Enyo said... "Mom, please, Dia and I are friends, okay? She is Unity’s sister."
"I suppose that can be seen in her beauty. But when does that ever stop you? You are not yet an Immortal, yet you already have over 20 wives. Adding one more is nothing at this point."
"What do you say, Dia? Do you like my son?" Lady Enyo asked, making Dia shy. She hadn’t really thought to that point, so she had no answer.
She only wanted to apologize to Kent. Aside from that, she had nothing else, especially not any plans to become his woman. So the question posed to her isn’t one she could answer.
"Mom, she is just a friend, so stop scaring her."
"If you say so. Just know that I wouldn’t mind having her become one of the many mothers of my grandchildren."
"Talking about grandchildren, when are you giving me one?"
"They will come, Mom. They will come to the point you wouldn’t even be able to carry them," Kent said with a smile before changing the topic. He knew his mom better than anyone.
She would keep on going on about grandchildren until she was tired. So he stopped her before things got out of control. This, in a way, saved Dia from the embarrassing situation.
Thankfully, they had a productive conversation after the initial shameless awkwardness. They spent a couple of hours with his mom before going back to the Harem Tower.
He still has some stuff to do, so after leaving Dia with Vexthra and the others, he left. Vexthra would be taking her with them to the 8th floor of the dungeon.
But first, they made sure she answered all their questions to the T.
In fact, Selene went a bit over the top, making sure Dia told her all she had experienced so she could come up with the best way for her to get inside Kent’s pants.
Learning how Kent treated her made them wonder whether he liked her or if she was indeed just a friend, as he said. So they wanted to make sure their next meeting would go as well as it could.
In the end, they concluded that Kent needed some time to process things. He has a lot on his plate now, so giving him some space is the best move.
On the other hand, after Kent got back to the Sword Tower, he took his time to analyse all that had happened and came to a single conclusion.
"As long as she is close to me, I don’t feel anything. This is a good thing. I just have to keep her close so that when things become painful, I can at least endure."
Unbeknownst to Kent, Dia had also come to a similar conclusion, "I can feel his pain. This means the closer I am to him, the better. Maybe I can even take all of it and endure it for him."
