Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1410: Success In The End

Chapter 1410: Success In The End

Kent started the new extraction with great confidence and high expectations.

He knew he had a lot to handle, and many things could go wrong. However, he disregarded all that and made sure he had all the variables in place.

Negative thoughts would only ruin his work, so he wasn’t about to give in.

His fire control, his precision, and his patience had been fine-tuned to the point that he had nothing to worry about. But when he started again, his worries came back.

The first worry, of course, was the fact that the new technique made everything a bit slow.

The flames inside the cauldron no longer roared with their usual aggressive rhythm. Instead, they moved like a breathing organism—expanding, contracting, thinning, then thickening again. Every pulse had to be controlled.

Every fluctuation had to be deliberate.

However, that was where the problem came in. Initially, he had to use one method to control the flame. That method had become stagnated at some point, leaving him at a 5% impurity level.

However, the new technique he had created was designed so that he would not follow a single method.

He had to switch between methods, which he managed to fine-tune to the point he desired, considering he was at Perfect Harmony mastery with his flame element.

The problem was the new variables he had started to encounter.

The first one concerned the rate at which the herbs were burning. Whenever he changed the method of flame control, a different issue arose, preventing him from actively switching between techniques without a backlash.

Because of this limitation, his first trial ended in failure.

He fixed the errors he had identified and tried again. However, that also ended in a rather heartbreaking way. His initial 5% impurity shot back up to 15%, something he never saw coming.

Kent had to spend two more days workshopping his technique and refining a few details before going back to extract his third batch of herbs.

This time, he managed to bring the impurities back to 5%. This progress taught him a lot, so he went ahead and tried again, applying what he learned.

Surprisingly, he removed 2% from it, leaving him with 3%. That, in a way, made him happy, and as he expected, his understanding also expanded.

It was like the path he had decided to walk had found its way of expanding his mind as he solved the problems afflicting him.

The more errors he fixed, the more his understanding expanded.

Slowly, he made progress, and after seven trials, he reduced his impurities to 2%.

Again, he took a few days off to think about other things. He even used the time to explore the tower store, and that was when he discovered a rather intriguing section that sold items from Earth.

Kent couldn’t help himself and took advantage of this discovery.

He served himself a few slices of pizza and a Coke. It took his mind off the alchemy and gave him something new to obsess over.

In the end, he decided to buy his own equipment and ingredients to make his own pizza. His success rate there was rather high, so taking that win, he dove back into alchemy.

This time, he took his time and reworked every last bit of the mistakes he had made. He ended up making so much progress that he even pushed the impurity level to 1%.

This progress left Kent happy. So he went deeper again, and after two more trials, he achieved 100% extraction.

He celebrated, then he started another extraction process. This time, he made sure he had more than enough time to focus on his technique and see how it improved with each extraction he had accomplished over the past few days.

He made so much progress, and when he was finally done with everything, he smiled and gave himself a pat on the back.

He had succeeded with Tier 11 herbs; his next challenge was Tier 12, which he started with great confidence.

By the time he was done with the first extraction using Tier 12 herbs, Kent smiled broadly, for he knew he had figured out a way that, if developed well, would catapult his alchemy skills to a whole new level.

But after the jubilation, his limitations surfaced. The first was the time it took him to achieve 100% extraction.

It took him close to 4 hours to extract the Tier 11 herbs, while it took up to 5 hours to handle the Tier 12 herbs. The process was just too slow.

In a pill competition, he would be required to accomplish everything within 5 hours. If he spent this much time extracting only the medicinal essence, he would be disqualified before he even made any progress.

So he had to reduce the time taken to extract just the essence. If he could lower it to just an hour, that would go a long way. So he started slow, and after 17 hours, he reduced the time to 2 hours.

He forced himself, and after improving his technique further, he finally managed to reduce the time to an hour.

That was another milestone that he became proud of. He had finally tried something that didn’t come from anyone, not even his past life memories

But through his boldness and knowledge, he managed to also open the door to a whole different path that, if he tread carefully, he would one day become the first alchemist to concoct a Celestial Grade pill with zero impurity.

That milestone was achieved by Pill Celestial Kevin Sage and a few others. However, none managed to achieve a 100% extraction even at the Pill God stage.

So, on the path he had started walking, if he dedicated himself to mastering it, there was a great chance he would open a new path for many one day.

After his achievement, which ended in his concocting a Tier 11 and Tier 12 pill, he decided to tackle the next task, which was refining an Azure Pill Ring.

This one refinement was the sole reason why he had to learn how to achieve 100% extraction. Now that he had achieved that, the next move was to refine the Azure Pill Ring.

Kent made a bold move by going with a Tier 11 pill despite the option to choose Tier 12.

He knew he had managed to perform 100% extraction of a Tier 12 herb.

However, comparing the essence he got from Tier 11, he knew attempting the Azure Pill Ring with Tier 12 would push him to his limits and might even fail.

He could later try that. But with what he was aiming for, he wanted to become a Pill Monarch first before doing many other things.

He arranged the ingredients for the Bone Tempering Pill. That was what he would be making his name with.

"Tower, this is the moment. Make sure every last second and angel is captured, for I will be sharing the video with the alchemy community one day."

[The master should rest assured that I will capture every moment. If the master manages to concoct a Tier 11 pill with an Azure Pill Ring, he would become the first person in history to accomplish that. So I will capture every last second.]

"You are the best, Tower."

Kent sighed, then he started the extraction process. Two hours later, the moment of the day came.
