Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1473: Dark Cloak Assassin

Chapter 1473: Dark Cloak Assassin

Everything happened so fast that before Kent knew it, he was staring face-to-face with an Immortal Lord who also happened to be a Shadow Legend.

He, on the other hand, was just a Heavenly Ascension stage warrior, and assassination-wise, he was only a Shadow King.

The gap was vast, and he knew that from the get-go. However, with the promise he had just made to protect Aysel and her sister, his grip on Aysel was firm, and his attention on the assassin was unwavering.

The danger was in the air, and so he could not summon anyone from the tower or send anyone in. Even so, he did not panic.

He moved Aysel to stand behind him. Fallon also moved and stood beside him, her expression showing fear.

Suddenly, the assassin let out a low hum. "How moving. To think you managed to evade dozens of assassins over the years, even managing to cross two continents somehow, I am impressed, Fallon... Lord Dove will be proud of you."

"S-Shut up, Vika." Fallon glared dangerously at the assassin, who happened to be a lady, and, judging by how she addressed her, she knew Fallon and her had a past, some of which she had yet to reveal to Kent.

He wasn’t mad about that. He himself had several secrets he would not share willingly, so being recognised by an assassin and also replying to them using her first name seemed normal on a Tuesday afternoon.

"No need to be rude, my dear Fallon. Ever since you left, I have not been able to sleep. It was like you took a part of my heart with you."

As if to add to the drama, Vika clenched her chest as if to show how hurt she was. Unfortunately, her gesture caused the large cloak she had on to wrap around the huge melons on her chest.

Kent saw it, but said nothing.

The look on Fallon’s face twisted into anger; however, she did not attack. This made the assassin lady, called Vika, giggle.

She turned and looked at Kent. "And who might you be?"

"Nobody special. But you can call me Chaos..."

"Chaos. That is a peculiar name for a human." Right now, Kent was back in his disguise.

The moment he sensed danger, the soul universe and the tower worked their magic.

"I get that a lot." He smiled and then cleared his throat. "I figured you are here for this little princess."

"I suppose you can say that. However, if I can get my hands on my favourite collector, I would be very happy."

Kent smiled and moved closer to Fallon, shielding half of her body. This gesture made Vika giggle even more. "How touching. A Heavenly Ascension stage warrior shielding an Immortal Monarch from an Immortal Lord."

She spun the dagger in her gloved hand. "What makes you think you are qualified to stand in my way, human?"

Kent smiled. "Everything, I suppose. You see, I find myself wondering why a Shadow Legend such as yourself would stoop so low as to do someone else’s work.

I have not lived long, but I have seen enough to know that in this life, there is nothing better than freedom. So why hurt two sisters who just want to be free and live their lives?"

She chuckled and replied, "Isn’t it obvious? Life is cruel, and the only way to survive it is if you learn to adapt. 45,000 years ago, I was dying in a ditch, blood oozing from my gut. However, a kind-hearted man saved me and gave me a purpose.

Now, my life, my freedom, is to do his will. So when he asks me to get something done, it will be done. Plus, it isn’t like I want them dead.

This little princess will be shipped to the Supreme Realm, while my sweet Fallan will probably be made into a concubine. It pains me that she wouldn’t be mine, but as I said, this is my freedom now, so I must sustain it for as long as it can last."

Kent sighed.

Right now, he had two ways to save the sisters. Hidden inside his shadows now were his three Soul Warriors.

If he played his cards right, he could save the sisters and even severely injure the lady, but he would also sustain some damage.

The second was whether he could use a shadow-type skill he learned from Faceless’s memories. It would give him 0.2 seconds to teleport the sisters away long enough to enter the tower, maybe.

Both plans would probably fail; however, he knew he had to do something. Of course, he might succeed, for which he would have to give his all to be able to escape long enough to call for help.

Life was on the line right now, so he would not hesitate to call for help.

But then again, there was one last aspect of this that kept bugging him. How did Fallon and her sisters cross over two continents? Even better, how did Vika follow them all the way here if crossing continents was a headache?

Clearly, there was something afoot that he needed to know. Even better, now that he had been recognised and also exposed to Vika’s shadow, even if he ran, as an expert assassin himself, he knew she would always follow him.

Based on the danger, he knew he had to run, but from what he had learned so far, running was not an option, especially when the road was not open as it should be.

Vika had to be taken care of right here and right now.

The only question was, how was he going to do that without dying himself?

"I know you are thinking about several ways to escape from me. I applaud that. Not many people at your level can stand against an Immortal Lord, especially someone like me.

However, while you are probably some kind of genius, know that even if you employ the help of the three hidden in your shadow, you wouldn’t even have a 1% chance of success.

That is because from the moment my dagger grazed your cheek, you had become a part of my domain. But even without that, not even my sweet Fallon can escape.

Right now, with a mere thought, I can render you immobile for as long as I want."

As if to prove a point, Kent suddenly lost control of his body. Even his eyelids were taken over, leaving him unable to move them.

"I may be a Shadow Legend, but I have already formed my domain, or at least formed a part of it. However, that small part is all I need to make you watch as I take them away."

She moved closer and used her dagger to wipe the blood off Kent’s cheek. "I don’t want to kill you simply because you look so innocent.

However, I can make you my slave. Such a handsome lad like yourself would fetch some good coins on the gigolo market."

Vika clearly had control over Kent’s body. She made sure that not even his eyelids could be moved. So for all that resistance to be defied when Kent suddenly moved his eyes, Vika sensed danger.

However, instead of killing him, she found it intriguing that Kent could break a part of her domain.

Fallon could not move either, nor could Aysel. However, Kent moving his eyes and even managing to move his facial muscles to convey his frown caught her attention.

"How did you do that?" she asked, freeing his mouth so he could answer.

"Nothing that can be explained with a sentence. If you are willing, I would like to share a short story with you. That would explain everything."
