Chapter 1493: The Eleventh Floor - Four Fallen Immortals (3)
Chapter 1493: The Eleventh Floor - Four Fallen Immortals (3)
Before becoming the legendary warrior called Rakshara, she was known as Shara, the Mother of Killers. She was one of the most prolific killers to ever walk the face of the universe.
It was said that she had killed so many people that even the fame once held by the legendary Contractor and the Joker was no match.
The Contractor was a being whose legend shook the Immortal Era, and the Joker was an insidious assassin who had killed her fair share of people. They caused the universe to shake in fear, but even they fell short when Shara appeared.
The legend said she had killed to the point that the Grim Reaper himself was left dumbfounded. For beings whose job was to rip fallen souls, he was shocked by Shara’s ruthlessness.
She was also the first being to have cultivated her killing intent to the point that death itself feared her.
It was also said that before she went into seclusion, which years later she emerged from as Rakshara, the Grim Reaper granted her a certain level of authority over death.
This made her nearly impossible to kill.
So, watching the smile on her face despite a long spear sticking out from her chest, her attacker felt her back crawl, fear appearing in her eyes.
She saw that her attack impaled Lani as she had intended. However, before she could retreat and eat her, everything reversed, and now her attack landed on a maniac who seemed to find joy in pain.
"You never saw that coming, huh?"
"H-How?" she stammered, momentarily feeling her life in danger.
Neomi smiled and answered, "Death and I have an agreement, a very long time ago. You see, until I want to, I cannot die... easily."
Her leg moved, and before the lady could dodge, it landed on her face, sending her flying back. Neomi yanked the spear out of her chest, and it flew toward its owner.
Mara was momentarily stunned by how Neomi handled the sneak attack. She recovered and then joined Enkay and Vari in attacking, ensuring their opponent was surrounded on all sides.
From the moment she appeared, Vari sensed their opponent had assassin properties. So she took control of the shadows, making sure she didn’t slip up on them.
"Are you okay?" Lani moved to Neomi’s side, a worried look appearing on her face.
"I am okay. But killing this bitch will make me feel better."
"Then let’s kick her ass." They moved, Lani, taking out her scythe while Neomi summoned her spear. Inside her weapon, the six-armed lady sat, all six hands clapped in a prayer pose.
She was the weapon spirit she received during her Weapon Spirit Enlightenment. Now, knowing the battle was not as simple as the previous ones, she decided to aid her master in any way she could.
Soon, Velmora, the Chaos Envoy who, several billion years ago, single-handedly slaughtered all the Inner Disciples of the Celestial Dream Sect, found herself surrounded, with nowhere to run.
Vari and Lani took control over the shadows, so whenever she tried to run, they blocked her there. Mara, who has an affinity for the light element, was put in charge of dishing out all the heavy damage, while Enkay was made to lead the close combat.
As for Neomi, she was making sure Enkay had all the openings he needed to get close and perhaps deal a severe blow, one that would tip the odds in their favour.
Although they had the upper hand, they knew the moment they made one mistake, it would be game over for them.
So, against all odds, the battle was progressing in perfect synchrony, something they had mastered after years of training inside the tower and previous floors.

[Unity’s Team]
Unity and her team were also tasked with killing one of the four Fallen Immortals. Their target was Selvara, a redhead vampire whose power comes from the power of blood.
While she is a Chaos Beast, she looks just like a human. The only beastly thing about her is her four pairs of horns and animal-like pupils. They are red, and looking into them feels like looking into the deepest, darkest abyss.
When they arrived in her domain, she instantly created a formation that trapped them inside using blood, which seemed to soak the very ground they stood on.
Unity, as the leader, took charge because she can fight in the air without hindrance. She is an archer after all. Kol, who also happens to be an archer, joined her.
He is a True Immortal, so he qualifies to join this campaign.
Zareth also summoned both the World Serpent and the Jade Dragon, using their overwhelming might to aid Unity and Kol in keeping their opponent at bay long enough for Velyra to take control over the entire blood pool that Selvara was using for her attacks.
As someone with a natural affinity for blood, she was tasked with stripping their opponent of her weapon. This is also Velyra’s first big battle after awakening her innate body.
When Kent first met her, he mistook her for a weakling. However, he was quickly proven wrong when the high priestess of the Bloodvein Tribe proved her abilities as a dangerous warrior.
Kent calls her his Redskin Beauty mainly because of her skin color. However, aside from the cute side of her, in battle, she doesn’t shy away from showing her warrior side.
So, with her absolute control over blood coming into play, she worked her way into slowly taking control over the blood around them.
A few minutes into the battle, both Unity and Zareth sustained quite a few gory wounds. Although they were far from the ground where the blood was, their target was a True Immortal, so surviving her attacks was even a miracle in itself.
The only one with little to no injuries was Kol, who is both faster and stronger than the two of them. But they weren’t injured for no reason. Zareth had dealt some heavy blows to their target, while Unity herself put a few arrows into her body.
Velyra remained standing for 10 full minutes before suddenly, her eyes emitted faint reddish smoke. Then suddenly, the blood on the ground started to tremble.
Selvara, who was about to attack Unity with a deadly blood spear, felt her control over the blood severed, causing the spear to turn into liquid blood.
"What?" Her body shook.
Turning around, she saw Velyra standing with large blood spears forming behind her.
"How did you do that?"
"No need to look shocked. I merely took control over all the blood inside this domain."
"But that is impossible. There is no way you should have the means to deprive me of using the blood inside this domain. I am the owner," Selvara was both shocked and angry.
This blood pool was formed from the slaughter she committed billions of years ago. The Celestial Dream Sect had hundreds of thousands of disciples, so she alone killed enough to form a blood pool.
Over the years, it had absorbed the energy of the souls on the battlefield, making it one of the most powerful blood sources one could ever find. When she broke free from the formation, she took control of it and planned to use it to dominate the world, as she had wanted to billions of years ago.
Taking it from her caused her anger to boil.
"Relax. I am not going to kill you." Velyra smirked, waving her hand for the spears to dissolve. Unity and the others, alongside Selvara, became stunned hearing what she said.
"Vel, maybe kill her first before you play with her," Unity said, but the Redskin Beauty smiled and clapped her hands together.
"Killing her will be a waste. Turning her into my blood puppet, however, will be fun." The moment she said that, she formed a hand seal, and a red formation enveloped them.
Chains burst from the ground and grabbed hold of Selvara’s arms and legs. Before she could move to break them, Velyra appeared before her and pressed her index finger against her forehead.
"Sleep."
Her eyes rolled back, and she fell unconscious.
