Chapter 1503: Ainna’s Insidious Plan

After handling a few more talks and finalizing their deal, the meeting finally came to an end.

They concluded that the day after the auction, they would use the teleportation gate to travel to the Elven continent. Once they get there, he will figure out the rest.

"Fallon, can I have a few words with you before you leave?" Lady Annette requested after Kent and his ladies were about to leave.

Fallon turned and looked at Kent. "Wait for me downstairs. I will be back shortly."

Kent nodded, and they walked out of the meeting room. After they were gone, Lady Annette began to speak...

"I received word from some of my people in the Elven Continent. Lord Hunter is aware you are in the Ice continent and that his trusted assassin has also betrayed him. I hear he has deployed three demigods after you, and they will be here in a few days.

It would be best if you leave before they arrive. Also, do well to avoid using any of the channels you used to travel in the past. He has people monitoring all of them."

Fallon nodded. "Thank you for telling me these things, Lady Annette. I will remember your generosity. However, you do not have to worry about me. If Lord Hunter himself were to come, I am sure I would be fine."

Lady Annette furrowed her brow, but she said nothing.

Since Fallon had the time to come back to work while being hunted by a god and his minions, she knew she might have also found herself a powerhouse.

This deduction, however, made her reexamine Kent’s image in her mind again. There is no doubt that Fallon’s confidence is because of him.

’I wonder what backing that kid has,’ she said inwardly. In the end, she had no reason to pry into others’ business, so she advised Fallon one last time before letting her leave.

"Be careful. Even if you are not afraid of him, keeping your guard up is also key to survival."

"I will take that to heart, Lady Annette." Fallon left and joined Kent, Vika, and Lene downstairs.

They soon left and started heading back to the round-up store. Kent plans to paint a couple more pieces of art, so they will go there first; if there is time later, they will head back to the hotel.

Meanwhile, atop the mountain, Ainna watched Kent and his ladies leave, a smile playing on her lips.

"What are you happy about?" Inaya asked.

"I have found the perfect plan to get back at that scumbag. Initially, I wanted him to have no choice but to take the sea route if he wanted to get to the Elven Continent. However, thinking about it now, that would be dangerous to the others who might be on the ship with him.

Aside from them, that lady had just given him her word that she would allow him and his ladies to use her teleportation gate. Forcing her to go back on her word is too evil. I may be wicked, but not evil.

That said, hearing that three demigods are after one of his ladies, making sure they know the right place to go would not be too evil, don’t you think?"

Inaya sighed, hearing what Ainna had planned. She wants to use the three demigods sent by Lord Hunter to punish Kent.

"Until every bone in his body is broken, I am sure I wouldn’t get the satisfaction I desire. This bastard needs to be taught a good lesson."

"But three demigods... isn’t that too much? He may be the greatest swordsman to have ever lived, but the current him is nothing compared to who he was. Pairing him against such odds is just being cruel at this point."

"Technically, he would only be facing one demigod. The demigod lady beside him will take one, the two ladies will also take on one, leaving the last one all to him."

Inaya sighed again. "The moment his life is in danger, I will step in, and you had better not try to stop me."

"You are being uptight, Inaya. Of course, I am not planning on killing him. I just want him to have a taste of what he had done to you and how much it cost me."

"Fine. Go ahead and do your thing. I will get my revenge when he has all his memories back."

They stayed on the mountain, but they could see everything Kent was doing.

Meanwhile, back in the city, the mysterious swordsman who dared strike the son of a demigod was still being hunted down.

The demigod whose son Kent had sent flying through the wall of the restaurant is one of the City Lords in Snow City. There are five of them and a single City Overlord.

This particular City Lord loves his only son a little too much. Thanks to him, the boy gets to do as he pleases. So when he heard that his son had been struck, he became furious.

Unfortunately for him, while he could have gotten to the truth, Lene had tampered with the memories of everyone present at the restaurant during the altercation.

So he was betting on whether or not he would get lucky and find Kent.

While that was happening, Kent and his ladies returned to the rundown store, and he started painting. The plan was to paint at least five artworks. However, he added one last painting he planned to gift to his nemesis when they finally met.

If only he were aware that the person he wanted to give the horrendous painting to had seen the entire process, he would have found a different person to court death with.

By the time he realised what a blunder he had caused, it would already be too late.

Days soon passed, and before long, the day of the auction had come. It was one of the biggest auctions on the Ice Continent, so even beings from the six other continents came.

Kent came prepared financially. He had forgotten he had a goddess all this time. Vexthra had handed him a sizable amount of spirit stones, so he had nothing to worry about.

As for Vexthra and her team, they were still on the 11th floor waiting for Velyra. She had not finished absorbing the blood.

As for Avotha and his team, they had collected the mission contract and left for Planet Skar. As Vexthra suspected, it would take them two months to reach Planet Skar.

However, since they are not needed right now, their absence would not be missed. That said, Yi Lai’s new subordinate had also not passed his Dragon Ascension Trial yet.

So they will probably remain on the 11th floor for a while longer.

Kent and his three ladies made their way to the auction, unaware that very soon hell would rain down on them.

Inaya and Ainna somehow managed to enter the auction house as well. Kent, of course, had no idea who they were. He had seen them at the hotel a few times, so when he saw them seated in one of the VIP rooms, he did not think too much about it.

He came for the Spirit Brush, and so nothing else mattered.

Lady Annette met Fallon a few minutes after they entered. After waiting for ten minutes, the auction house was closed, and the auctioneer, a beautiful goddess, walked onto the stage.
